  1. Evo Brembos require a massive re engineering of a brake setup...NO Skyline needs that big a rear brake setup, most don't even need that big on the front.
  2. If you have a good link then PM the person. I suggest you don't post on the forum as I have found excellent links and within a month of them being openly posted on forums they usually go to sh1t. So I am keeping my new one off forums as beats stupid CH 10
  3. 12 months ago I was suckign cans by the side of the track. Man I wish i lived in Eastern Europe. The food, the grog, how cheap everything is....
  4. Next track day we will line them up...I cant wait to chop another RB25
  5. Only grabbed one caliper out of the packaging for pics, but is enough to see the general condition of the kit. Rotors are in good condition, though there is a concentric wear mark on the insides of the rotors, but nothing to be concerned about

  11. Cheers for the offer. I have one designed up its just a matter of finding the time to get the car off the ground one weekend, check dimensions and then order the parts. Odds are it will be a disaster but I want to give it a go myself first....if its a bag full of failure then will come knocking. My problem has been I have tried two different front pipe arrangements and they each cost power. Noise would past fine, but I dont want to hand back response and 15-20rwkws
  12. You wouldn't be going to Zandvoort on Thu 2 August by any chance would you?
  13. Its cheaper to buy an RB20 and install it! Otherwise years ago this mob were about the cheapest for things http://www.rmsmotorparts.com.au/HomeFrameset.htm May be easier to buy out of Japan yourself
  14. Did you pop your box at PI ? Yeh, shame its on the same weekend as WTAC, and also my excuse is the same as every other Sandown the pat 6 months...I still dont have a super dooper exhaust to pass the nose restriction
  15. I pitty tuners! Especially you It seems so many cars get given to you and they are just loads of problems and so hard to get right Will be interesting to see if you can get results that give a clear indication of whether the anti surge housings hurt performance at all.
  16. Exactly, but you know come a big accident it is going to blow back that way. You hear it all the time "the scrutineers let it run". There are plenty of good fabricators, and cage builders out there but you wonder what would happen to some of the cars if they went in at turn 1 Skaife-Winfield Commodore style etc. You prey another Todd Wilkes isnt on the cards as some of the cars have nothing structural forward of front suspension pick ups and you have to wonder how they would go in a big off doing sub 1;35s
  17. These are te pads that are in them.. http://www.endless-sport.co.jp/brake_pad/cc_x/index.html
  18. Did anyone else see the aero failure on the EVO the other day at EC? Looked pretty scary! I would hate to be a scrutineer at WTAC
  19. So just found a box and forgot I had some HKS R32 GTR Hard Pipe kit. Looking for $350
  20. The noise thing will always leave people upset. You can be sure the officials hate being the ones telling you that you have to go home....it is a thankless job and they are just doing what track management instruct them to do re noise warnings. A guy I know who races in the state series was telling me that the noise is a strange thing....he was saying on overcast days his and fellow competitors cars always read higher. On windy days they get away with their better flowing mufflers...and he had to do a custom weber airbox as after quietening up his 9,000rpm twin cam 4 he was still getting pinged for what ended up being induction noise. So gates etc are a no-no and even street systems will have trouble on certain days. Leon got away at Sandown with the worlds loudest SR20 but I got done only bedding brakes and cruising around in 1:25s. Its BS, and part of the reason why I have not tried Sandown since being booted twice in 4 weeks
  21. I read he went the whole race with no KERS. Pretty difficult to hold off the likes of FI, Sauber etc with no KERS
  22. Any updates? I imagine you would be having some cracking weather at the moment...keen to see some in car vids
  23. All encouraging, but how long have you been running the manifold, turbine housing coatings. This ca is driven around 1000kms a month and does some sustained wide open throttle stuff so will get plenty of heat in it doing some fun days at the track. I have decided will be givign Comp Coating a go in Coburg and see how they go
  24. Meant to be me. I got persmission about 8 weeks ago and slowly going through the thread from back to front noting times in a spreadsheet to update. Probably another 2-3 weeks away
  25. Hi people, just wanting to hear peoples thoughts on High Octane coatings. I have used Competition Coatings, HPC, Jet Hot in the past and have my thoughts on the respective pros and cons of them....I have not used High Octane coatings in the past. Anyone used their black manifold/turbine housing coating and can speak to its durability? http://www.performancecoating.com.au/turbocharger-coating My own experience has HPC the best for quality and durability...no surprise they are they most expensive. Competition Coatings and Jet Hot about the same, with perhaps Jet Hot being a tad more durable but less range of colours and finishes.
