  1. I seriously hope they release it with a different name. What in the hell are they thinking with a name like that
  2. Ok, then she may let me eat the cheese of her taco but I would still be fortunate for any return service.
  3. OH MY! I all of a sudden want tyre baking goodness
  4. So, are you going to give me the goss on tight ass billet oil pump gears? This new turbo of mine is meant to be effecient at 1.8bar (on Evos anyway) so think I may throw an oil pump on the old girl before I give her E85, and 28-30psi I cant have the Ford running more boost than my Nissan
  5. Great event. Cars struggled with conditions though... Promo girls struggled with the weather.
  6. If I knew it was heading to the strip club I would have jumped in. So is this going to be another E85 missile or more a 98 build? Good to see you were able to save the alloy RB20 race block!
  7. So entry, tyres, fuel, accom etc or another OS car holiday? Hmmmm, I doubt my car would make it throught he fashion police requirement anyway I have only attended the first Oran Park event so would love to spectate and barrack for Russ in his cheater spec GTSt
  8. Diffence in opinion I will add what quantity do you think these are getting made in? I hear what you are saying, but it is likely to be quantities less then 10. Most shops would try and minimise the amount of dollars they have caught up in inventory. Anyway, its a mute point. My perspective is if you are a business then you price a product to what the market will pay. And the average punter wont be able to do it much cheaper. Hell most punters wont be able to install the kit let along fabricate their own. The beauty of forums are that you can learn so much and follow the DIY path. If you think its a rip and can do it cheaper then go for it. There is a guy (too much boost) selling a kit like this from SBS at the moment for a song at $500 inc rotors, calipers and mounts. just go buy that and sell your current calipers to an S13 owner. My thoughts are the 280mm kit is superior to the 296 kit anyways.
  9. Nice post but wrong thread
  10. Who gives a shit. They have been ugly for years now. If my boy Mark has a cracker of a season with 3 or 4 GP wins than I am happy. For the first time ever I am interested to hear what Vetool calls his car this year. Ugly Ursula?
  11. I'd give it a nudge. I am no oil painting so all things considered I would be honoured if she stooped so low
  12. Interesting to see the results. Good work on giving it a go. I would think you could get away with milling out all the centre/bridge and drilling and tapping an additional bolt hole for mounting a big bellmouth dump pipe. Or are you going to try and split the the gate and turbine gases?
  13. What, a petulant ignoramis that runs people off the road? I get what you are saying about braking 100%/as hard as you can, but its an ideal and impossible to achieve. But a good consideration when you are going around and around that you should try and minimise the time spent free wheeling around the track. Maximise the amount of time on the loud pedal and minimise the amount of time on the middle pedal
  14. I recommend people ring a few machine shops and get some hourly rates from them. Unless you have a mate with the tools required who will do it for a case of beer, you will be in for a rude shock. $350 is pretty good value. I will guess and break it down. $100 in material inc wastage which you have to pay for. That leaves $250 for labour, which is $125 each. So you think it can be done in less then an hour each...inc anodising? Sure they are not cheap, but they are reasonably priced and having done these adaptors loads of time myself....you will be hard pressed to do it cheaper and get a known end result. My opinion only
  15. You have to be an engineer?
  16. Mega work. Cool to see someone pumping that sort of power
  17. So did you work out why the Nismo engine let go?
  18. If you are trying to save dollars then personally I would dump the idea of running a thermostat. Nowhere in Aus is cold enough to justify needing one. Especially since most of us will idle the car for 30seconds and drive the car lightly for the first few minutes which means low road speed and bugger all airflow through the cooler. I have run without an oil cooler for 11 years on my R32 and no stress. I live on the East cost including areas like Richmond NSW and CBD Melbourne.
  19. Hope it blazes the tyres and makes the power you are chasing. Hope the tuner is eating some humble pie and his pricing reflects his oversight
  20. Any pics of your oil cooler install?
  21. I have been trying to make Goodwood but timing doesnt match up. Last year I was in the UK when they had the historic race meet and you get all dressed up in vintage clothes etc. Was going to go but my friend and his Mrs who were going with me pulled out...plus I was flying out the next day so I just hit the drink instead
  22. Hank touched on it...you dont need to touch your brakes. Look at putting some new, performance shocks and springs in the car and put on 595 RSR or better tyres on. Brakes don't give you stopping power, increasing the level of grip increases your braking power
  23. One comment I will make is you either need to have a pretty cool Mrs or single for motorsport holidays. So many of my mates want to join me on mine but usually get pulled up spending the money on anything but mortgage, children etc.
  24. What does the dump arrangement look like?
