Arent cranks $900 from Nissan?

Are those filter elements from the fully hectic alloy 10um filters with cleanable /replaceable elements? If you cut up a std Nissan steel jobbie one do you expect to see the same thing?
-
Pulled my tank out, pump out... Checked filter. All looks fine. No idea why some are having problems, and all the lines off the tank are all 22yr old std Nissan

He wouldn't know what to do with them. L.O.T.U.S! As good as a win for my boy Romain. May go buy a Lotus this week

Take Merc out of the equation and it's damn close. 1/10 would have helped Dan in quali

Considering Dan is running his race engine and will have it turned all the way down P1 in Q1 is promising

You are confusing GTRs and GTSt. The comp cover can be an issue if you are trying to use std cooler pipes on your GTR with GTX turbo. On a GTSt just use the std GTX compressor cover that comes with the turbo! No machining required!

My $6...ie loads of 2c!.... Its a turbo car so turbo selection is kinda important. Waaaay too many 20 owners choose the wrong turbo imo and the engine ends up getting blamed. Buy a blown HKS 2530 or 2540 to get the T3 GT28 housing in the right A/R for an RB20. You can get them for $100-250 used and then throw a GTX 2863 or 2860 at it. The 67mm wheel without a proper exhaust manifold IMO won't work well with the 2867 With E85 the one thing RB20s take to VERY well is boost and revs so forget mismatched hi flows meant for an RB25 and spend <2K on the right turbo to give you bloody good punch and top end. Given the final drive ratio of the R32 and weight you will be no slower than many RB25 powered cars... Even more powerful ones as they tend to just fry tyres with the extra power and torque unless they have sorted susp and tyres. Please don't go RB25 high flow. You will make a punchy reliable 250-260rwkws with the GTX2863

Meh to Mac gear. It's all pool. They had some cool retro gear going back to the 70s...well before Honda and Dennis sh1tness

Well my car is about ready to be all put back together and get back on the road. Will be interesting to see how this weekends inspection of tank, lines and filters goes since it has been laying around with E85 in it for 12 months. I mention that as my car has nothing done to it all to make it E85 compatible. Just 1000cc injectors and in tank pump with Nismo reg. Ran fine like that for 2 years but was driven every 2nd or so day with a tank a week

Meh... It made my car a smidgen laggier but did allow way more ignition. But takes a better calibrated bump than mine to pick that up in back to back driving through the mid range. But only really made more power as the engine was no longer boost and ignition sensitive so could wind both in. With a std turbo it will be bye bye exhaust wheel. Though with lower exhaust temp maybe you can run 15-16psi...who knows

R33, New Brake Upgrade Idea
Roy replied to hardsteppa's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Dont mean to sound like a non believer but 2 seconds? Were you having fade issues with std setup? Were you running same tyres, susp alignment.... No improvement in driving? 2 seconds is a Huge gain and frankly never seen such an improvement unless original setup was a huge compromise with fade -
Out of interest... Can you pull the ABS fuse and do a session and offer feedback?

Little value in going E85 with std RB25 turbo. E85 is great at allowing you to wind boost into an engine and you are capped at 12-14 psi Given the expense of going to E85 a HKS 2530 on 98 will be you better results

Honda now saying their engine is better than Renault's and it's Spa upgrade hopes to match Ferrari. Lol they are now blaming McLaren for poor aero and mech grip

Sill season heating up; Hulk... ...rumours in Germany increasingly link him to a full-time Porsche WEC drive. With Hulkenberg said to be disillusioned with his future F1 prospects, the company is believed to have offered him riches beyond his wildest dreams, including post-racing ambassadorial roles and the choice of road cars for life.

Weren't the actual homologation cars running RS581 turbo? Sometimes referred to as Le Mans turbos?

Who tunes your car? Surely worth a call to Simon's tuner given the reliability and power he has gotten from all his ...um well utilised R32s
-
Same exhaust.... Still. If it's 10 years old and had been bumped on-off the car I would want to be sure that a baffle hasn't corroded and come loose etc. Easy enough to drop it snd check. Ditto rag in cooler pipe. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that head and springs are a problem until you have done basic checks. Tuner can't guide you based on how engine responded to fuel and ignition numbers?
-
Collapsed mufflers, cat....plug gaps and of course the quality of the tune itself
-
Unless you are going for a 8,000rpm screamer and want to rag on the engine all the time stick with std plenum. Far better suited to a std manifold under 300rwkw build

Still got GG R88 001?

Ditto, front lca in particular. I am in the middle of installing the new front end, rear end and gearbox. lol ony taken me 12 months...hope you rip into it quicker than me!
