  1. Of course. Never getting rid of the old girl. Sandown went well yeterday. Definitely need some new tyres as they are rather square now PB with a 1:19.77 Not happy with the 4.1 diff and need to go back to 4.3 ratio. But good to be consitently getting some laps in the car as I still suck
  2. Lol...as i sat there waiting for the tow i got to about 5 things i did wrong whilst frolicking in the paddock. Most of all who woul of thunk it that downhill near the wall was boggier than to the left UP the incline....moron
  3. Doing my best to live like it's 2013 3rd track day in 4 months
  4. And Symmons Plains vid. God I was losing time under brakes and off the start finish straight. Tough place to work out whether its 2nd or 3rd. Anyway...good fun. Baskerville was better seat time and started to get my head around driving the girl after years of little driving
  5. So just got back from a few days in Tassie. Was a great trip that included some laps at Symmons Plains and Baskerville Finally started to get the car sorted, though the borrowed GoPro proved to be less than great https://youtu.be/5oVTdOG7svM
  6. Needs a 2023 update. What are the plans?
  7. So whats the thinking on the plenum? Very different type of comparison but i lost torque and response on my 310rwkw RB20. So i was going to RB26 plenum my 2.8L Neo build. Easier to run a plazmaman or even std. My Kinder Surprise RB25DE with no VCT beats RB26 on same dyno, fuel and turbos and can only put that down to the long runner inlet. Does the torque mapping mean you have what you can use so plenum isnt as critical? Thats assuming its not bettercat response power and torque which may have been your experience
  8. Oh my!!!!!
  9. No problem. Appreciate you looking for me though. Start new job in January....will be good to be back in Melb, no more 70hr weeks at a start up...normal programming shall resume. 2023...hopefully my 18yr quest of a teen at Sandown is realised
  10. Ooh. Yeh. Not sure about how my first born will feel a out being called Komdotkom
  11. I'm too big a tight ass to do anything ECU wise. Power FC gets the job done. By the time I do an ECU. Loom, trigger etc it's 5k that doesn't make the car any faster as I really don't need more hp. I'll pull the loom from the car and strip the loom this weekend . Also need to do a fre checks on the engine. Doing a hot shut-down at Griffins Bend wasn't ideal. Lifters were loud and engine a bit cranky when I got it fired back up the next day
  12. So after being ready with a week to spare before Bathurst, the car developed an oil leak that took 3 days to diagnose Tried lines, gaskets and in the end it was a hairline crack in the alloy housing that bolts to the block that you screw your filter too. Was a bastard to diagnose. LOL , may need to make a longer oil cooler line and install one of those billet ones. Then on to Bathurst. Car was running like a dream. First 3 sessions were either red flagged 2-3 laps in or just too much traffic and was forced to clear the slower cars until the re-categorised starting positions on the dummy grid. For session 4 they bumped me up 18 spots right behind a Cup Car on slicks. Was pumped and was hoping to finally get a good run without traffic. On the first flying lap at the top of Mountain Straight the engine went flat and had no drive at turn in to Griffins Bend so had to do a Glen Seton 1995 and pull over in the gap in the concrete wall on the right to the end of the session. So lost injectors for some reason so started pulling back all the loom tape trying to find the short. Couldnt see anything , so called it at 9.30pm and went for beers. In the morning re-taped the loom and had injectors back!!!! I hate it when things start working for no reason...I hate it more than when they stop for no reason So waited to the afternoon session, spoke to drivers around me to make sure that I could find a gap and tried my luck for a single lap. LOL i am guessing it was a combination of heat, vibration etc that something is shorting and popping the Engine Con fuse so with very few plces to pull off the track and too many walls to be losing drive and power steering etc only wasnted to do one flying lap So this is the vid of that lap that ended up as a PB...sooooo much left in it. Will have to go back next year after i put a new loom in the old girl over Xmas Even though the morning 3 sessions were red flagged etc the running around with Porsches and big HP Evos was the most fun I have ever had in the old girl
  13. Speedo is mint. Did a cable back in 2001 at Wakefield so know that headache. It could potentially be that r33 ps pumps have lower pressure??.
  14. Yeh. I have looked at the wiring diagram but doesnt appear as though it is the absence of the level switch that is causing the problem. I am waiting for a mate to pull the plug on the cap and go for a drive. I suspect there is something else astray which is why I reckon I just need to go through all the wiring and see from there. The two obvious ones are the speed input and the actual PS solenoid. Maybe with the engine going in and out and all the fluffing around with oil cooler lines/Accusump etc its been pinched. I don't know. For now I am just channelling my inner 18yr old ex Valiant owner
  15. Mint. Great to see the bus back on track!!!!
  16. I have a new r33 reservoir 8n ky R32 which means i no longer have the reservoir with oil level switch. Im guessing thats why my steering is now heavy? Sigh, now to trace all the damaged loom back to find the wires for reservoir cap with level switch
  17. The Recaro CS were shits to fit. The seats fit thevdimensions of the car well but the rail design and getting seat low is the usual head feck
  18. When does the airstrip go in for the Cessna Bird Dog?
  19. So pulling the Racetech seats with wings out and trying to make a little more street car. Lol, only prob is i dont have seat belt buckles to bolt to frames. Anyone with any spare or ideas on whete to get a pairbof buckles cheap Once in need to get them trimmed to match...auto trimmers aint cheap
  20. This year its sounding like they have a waiting list. So may be a stronger turn out this year. Bathurst is more Vette country
  21. f**k. You will need a 12L turbo diesel to turn wheels that big! 17x8 is where its at
  22. Did either of you two get entries in for Challenge Bathurst? I am solo Vic entrant this year as the rest of the usual Vic crew hurt their vaginas
  23. You made that look easy! What size wheels are you running on this monster truck?
  24. Uncle Dunc, Kel has been posting too many pics of your amazing home....Need more progress pics/updates on the 32.
