LOL, so a turbo goes and people are suggesting an engine swap? Fault find to confirm the problem and if its a dead turbo...here is a radical idea....put a new, better turbo on it. I reckon you should put a Barra 6cyl 4L turbo in it or a 6.2L Chev. Why waste your time with an RB25?

Back up for sale is sale my TD05H-18G with 3" inlet. Its a Kando, new and never used. Friend is selling his S13 project car so bits he had called dibs on are being returned. It has a Subaru core so is 360deg bearing with water cooled core and oil lube TD05H-18G Asking $450 for the turbo with no exhaust housing or $750 with the Trust 8cm rear housing (3 bolt) If you pay up front i will buy the Kando T3 housing with internal gate actuator on your behalf so it all works as a good bolt on RB20 turbo

What a confused buinch...cost cap turns into customer cars and more Jedi mind tricks
-
For the full T67 setup or just the turbo? Yes any TD06 housing. Not a TD06H (its a bigger wheel) and not a TD06L2 (it is a smaller wheel) but any TD06 housing will fit this TD06

Having done a cradle swap i have formed the opinion that provided your S13 cradle is free of damage/cracks then just modify the std cradle pick up point. Far simpler and cheaper. Things like exhaust brackets, handbrake cable mounts etc all need to be changed if you are doing the later model cradle (i did R33 into R32) Also...i think you will find the track increase is in the wheel offsets...not the actual suspension. Well at least that is the case for R32 GTSt and R32 GTR and R33s too. The wider track of the GTR is from wheel offsets of 17x9 +30 vs 16x8 +30

In perfect working condition. Has done about 40,000kms and had annual fluid changes and only ever ran Castrol Syntrax. Only removed as I am going to bigger driveshafts and GTR rear end. Supplied as a centre as I want to retain the crown wheel and pinion. If you are after the diff housing then I can supply that for an extra $200 with the 4.11 crown wheel and pinion Located in Melbourne. Asking $550 for the Kaaz diff, or $750 all supplied loose with diff housing, flanges and 4.11 crown wheel and pinion etc

I need a std shifter for an RB25 gearbox (R33)
-
Should have been better. Audi such a well oiled race team!!!

Your exhaust has bends in it everywhere which effectively make perfect expansion joints. Just nake sure its rigid and supported at the turbo and its got a flexiblevsupport off the gearbox that ensures no weight on the dump-turbo but lets the pipe grow.

No good Greg. So even with a description and the car leaving the scene the Police didnt pick him up a few blocks away? Piss weak effort really. Hope things work out for you! Oh, and massive cudos for going to a far away level of crazy and at least giving the c%*t a fright!

Hope the tailshaft arrives in time. So close!

Go on then. Show me a meaningful post about someone that has actually installed a plenum and what the performance change was
-
Did you read that thread? Its the same old "wives group" shouting the usual and kind of lacking in actual results. I am not saying they are an upgrade that people should rush out and do...but I have never read a credible back to back like i have with the Nismo plenum and Hypertune plenum. I am curious and open to it because a mate that I respect who has owned more high HP Skylines than I will ever drive likes running them. And yes the std plenums make good power, but the Greddy item will give different results, different how is the question for me and as above curious....would be nice to read actual results from a semi sensible practical test.
-
So where are all these results for the RB26 Greddy plenum? I just did a search and nothing comes up. I have driven two cars running them and the car with 2530s anf Greddy plenum was damn impressive

It is funny reading Homo coming out and saying "come on guys this is racing...it is meant to be fun " etc. He is the guy that most looks like he is having teeth pulled and sooking and being all passive/retarded in interviews. But, its great to see he is back in a good space for the moment and not sooking/sulking for a change
-
Yeh, was a cracking race! Watching the ELMS race now. They have grid girls
-
The post race conference was good to watch. When Lewis isnt sooking he is fun to watch...funny to see Seb laughing t the Merc drivers taking shots at each other
-
Porsche 1-2...giggity giggity! Come on Mark and Brendan; good work putting it on pole!

If you are building a Time Attack car like the original poster stated and you want it to be an RB30 based motor I would personally buy whatever ancillaries you want to run, install it all and run it with a std engine and head combo for a few events. Way too many engines die in the early days due to fuelling issues, oil supply issues, cooling issues elec gremlins etc etc etc. Get the thing sorted with a cheap engine and enjoy it. You may find the std engine well tuned with good oiling will provide you 90% of the numbers you are after! Brakes, cage, seats, suspension and turbos, coolers, diff etc are already a +20k proposition and frankly is where most of the speed is over a built engine that may go bang due to teething problems. I guess it all depends on how "time attack" your track car is. I think if you are going wet sump with Nitto oil pump then perhaps that is the main reason/area where you need to speak to your engine builder and think what you are doing with your car Lastly, acsplit has an RB30 with -5s turbo making serious grunt. I think the main difference between the RB30, RB26 or stroker RB28 is simply the nature of the delivery and the fact that the RB30 isnt fully counter weighted so doesnt spin up quite as nicely. RIPS and many others have got good numbers our of RB30s for years so doubt its the end of the world...but imagine a fully counter weighted crank is going to be nicer on bottom ends when you are spinning them to high rpm and throwing boost at them...but half a donze of one and 6 of the other
