  1. Greddy differentiate their T67-25G and TD06H-25G for that reason. A TD06H-25G is actually bigger than a T67 in Greddy speak. They share the same compressor side but on the hot side the T67 uses the smaller L2 turbine. If you have seen a Greddy turbo with a 25G compressor and the TD06H turbine then it is a TD06H-25G...not a T67-25G or what is referred to commonly as the T67. Cant speak to the reliability of Kando turbos but it does seem possible that the later ones are a little more grenade like than the earlier ones and definitely Trust turbos. Trust turbos just keep on keeping on. Though these days with E85 and boost over 25psi I do wonder whether the would be as happy in the 25-30psi range as they were in the 20-25psi range
  2. I think Lotus's problem isnt ability but was just preparation as they had a pretty tubulent off season and final few months of 2013. Hopefully, even with limited resources the final few months of this season and some stability leaving up to Feb will see them come out with another solid chassis and aero combo and paired with the merc engine will be back to being a team racing for top 5 positions. The real question is Allison. If Fezz pick up the pieces and Lotus struggle then that will speak volumes about Allison's ability. Personally I think its time for James Kay to take the step up to a team like Lotus as he has doen great things with the minnow teams and be it Sauber, FI or currently STR their fortunes always improve under his guidance. Lastly, what is happening with Colin Kolles 2015 Forza Rossa Racing? I had assumed it was going to be Caterham re-badged but now seems plausible they grab the Marussia chassis? Or is this another example of FIA/FOM giving entry to a team that isnt going to even bother entering?
  3. I have posted this a few times, but my English mate who has twice been out for the Aus GP went to school with a McLaren mechanic. One year was 2008 and when I asked about Alonso he said the English media love a one sided story and within the team the crew/wngineers etc loved Alosno and that when it came to the needle between Alonso and the team and between the drivers Lewis had a role to play in escalating tensions. Nothing was published about Homo being the first to throw a swing and start inner team BS and low and behold all these years later you now start to read how Dennis has said that the Homo played a role in the McLaren-ALonso tensions . Like this sh1t wasnt going on with Rosberg this year. I am realy hoping Alonso kicks ass at McLaren....not a huge McLaren man nut I have huge amounts of respect for Alosno and want to see the guy racing the Mercs
  4. I have never been a great fan of Button and early in the season thought he was being shown up by the rookie Dane . But by mid year he had lifted his game and on merit deserves a 2015 seat
  5. Meh to drivability. What the hell are you doing at part throttle? WOT all the way.
  6. Thread needs more GTSt and DR30
  7. My fronts were bigger too. 14.3mm knurl or something vs 12 or something in the rear. Sounds like GTR and GTSt may be the same
  8. Not sure if GTR is the same as GTSt but my fronts were the same as STI
  9. I have to check the tape that I wrote it on inside my toolbox. I think its 100-110Nm. And always grease your nuts when you are going near dirty flanges!
  10. LOL, come on man. I run the open ended steel Rays nuts. I always grease my studs and expect the film of grease means they never corrode. Oh, and my front studs are ARP so come zinc coated, though it no doubt wears off after lots of use. . Though my rear Nismo studs are plain steel and are in with a box of bolts and bits that are going off for zinc coating before my new rear end goes back together/into the car.
  11. If only the 2530 could be made to hold onto boost up high then the result could be even better. Still 2 bux 60 from a 2530 is awesome. Imagine it would drive well too!
  12. Back up for sale is sale my TD05H-18G with 3" inlet. Its a Kando, new and never used. Friend is selling his S13 project car so bits he had called dibs on are being returned. It has a Subaru core so is 360deg bearing with water cooled core and oil lube TD05H-18G Asking $540 for the turbo with no exhaust housing or $750 with the Trust 8cm rear housing (3 bolt)
  13. I still live in hope that I can find a Trust TD06 10cm housing but to date have not been able to...so if someone wants to take this off my hands its sitting in a box and a friend that was keen to try it on his S13 has not lost interest in his project...so desire to hold onto it is now fading Also, it someone wants my genuine Trust T67 and 6boost setup I will part with it and use the 73HTA on std manifold with gate welded to housing
  14. You can tell Sir Frank is no longer calling the shots over at Williams. He has always prided himself that Williams didnt poach other team's sponsors, rather attracted new businesses to F1. It was the job/challenge of other teams to try and steal Williams sponsors. Well, in the same week Williams have poached two Lotus sponsors. Lotus going to really struggle with 2015 budget. I hope Coca-Cola/Burn up the stakes and throw an extra 20-30million at them (not going to happen but would be nice to see it up the $$$$ to compete with Monster-Merc and RBR)
  15. The car and driver that showed me I can't drive for shiza! Ahh 2000-2003. A period where I would do 10-14 track days a year
  16. So does that mean curtains for ManoR Motorsport as a whole? Shame to see them lose it all due to a foray into F1
  17. In the US he had a Barry Crocker. I think the Canadian GP thing was more a function of the problem his car was carrying but he did get a penalty for it. Dont remember the Monaco accident. I can think of wheel to wheel racing with Button on two occassions. One with Kimi. And with a pack of cars in I think it was Singapore. Was all fair and good racing. In 2013 he would have done it in every wheel to wheel situation. Either way, I expected him to go backwards even further this year against Hulk but he had his moments and on the whole think he improved over his 2013 efforts. To the point that I have removed him off my shyte list that needs to be booted from F1 to the young and still developing and needs another year. Good to see both Sauber drivers get booted...and even Massa came on strong second half of the season so keen to see what he can do over the 2015 season. At least JEV went out with some tough racing against Dan in Abadub.
  18. I did read the article. I am not saying Perez set the world on fire, but at McLaren he looked ragged and in traffic was like JEV this year, it looked a coin toss if he was going to wipe a corner off his own or the other car. This year he is looking way more composed and had some cracking and fair wheel to wheel battles that he came out on top of. I remember it as I was rather damning of the guy and had to admit that he impressed me with his improvement in the year. He is still only 24 or so. Would have been easy to sulk in the FI but rather he seems to have gone away and is working on improving. I hope Lotus can find a decent chassis/engine under their Xmas tree and Romain kicks some ass next year. He is IMO better than both Williams drivers and should have been an easy pick to put alongside Alonso at Mac
  19. So the journos said he had a good Singapore race because of the points he got. You cant tell me it was a smooth ace performance. Every move was a coin toss which is why he got so many penalties etc. Its not about disliking him...I just dont get how people can say that he is good? He has had some mega wet performances, but when you have STR folk shrugging their shoulders about his performance or lack of...well that influences my thinking. US GP seems another hatchet race...he seems to explore track limits more than even Vettel. I dont go out of my way to bash they guy but when people are trying to tell me how good he is??!!??!! Have to say he seems unlucky or people have just not been impressed with his attitude and approach. If someone wants to explain to me that it is the tyres, or some other aspect of the current cars that limits him then I will accept that. But saying based on current performane he deserves more opportunities....well. Williams dont pay top dollars for drivers...agree. But they do have a tendency of grooming young talent too. Not sure JEV fits that shoe. For me, a driver that had redeemed himself a lot this year has been Perez. FI seemed to get more out of him then McLaren were able to manage and will be interesting to see how he goes in his second season at FI. In real news, Hulk doing Le Mans is EPIC! We should get to see more F1 drivers racing in different cars through the year!
  20. That was being talked about but I personally dont see Williams taking on Jev. He is used goods, and there is no way you would replace Massa with him when odds are that for 2016 Williams could have a seat that holds the interest of the best drivers in F1 by being a top 2 manufacturer. I think they will find another young talent to step in and be ready IF they dont have the likes of Hulk, Grosjean, Rosberg, Disco Dan all looking for a seat. If JEV had been composed in races I may have changed my tone but he was ragged running off the road and into people and looking a bit desperate ...all at the end of his 3rd year in F1.
  21. lol...Honda are woeful! With all Macs experience....all the time Honda have had looking at other designs etc and they still stink Now for McLaren to boot Button and watch them fall further down the grid!
  22. Bernie but seriously be 5days from a nervous breakdown http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/116761
  23. What a spanker of a journo. "Not the fastest way around the track...but loads of fun" I would be screaming "Farking stick it to it . YEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Cow bell. Cow bell. Cow bell!!!!!
  24. But then you have King Retard talking about Super GP2 cars for the smaller teams. FFS, the answer is stop lining your own pockets with hundreds of millions per year to manage the series and invest in your own business like the rest of the world has to!!!!! Serioulsy, anyone come across what Bernie and his motley crew at CVC earn? I am betting they take more out of F1 than they are paying the smallest teams
  25. Nah , they got back together and you cant half tell as when they are together his head space is a lot better. Everytime they have broken up he is all over the shop
