  1. Look, I blow hot and cold with Lewis. Right now its cold. VERY COLD! I don't get his head space. Rosberg, he is in a class above Lewis. he doesnt have the raw talent...but he is still damn good and he is a team player. Look at his conduct in Malaysia last year...never speaks out about the poltics of the team...uses disarming answers when retarded journos try to get a line because they seem to think F1 isnt F1 unless they are trying to find a Senna v Prost controversy. Rosberg disarms it...Lewis seems to love it. Right now Rosberg hasnt been rattled and was interesting to learn that he had Lewis beat in Bahrain except for Lewis turning up the tune of the engine disregarding the pit wall instructions. I am backing Rosberg mental toughness against Lewis's Everytime they shove a mic in Lewis's face he falls for it by giving them retarded statements to run off with. Then he will play victim when the press say negative things about him. The SkySport guys are doing a lot of apologising for him but past race Hill and Herbert seemed to get off the positivity train and not defending Lewis's acitons I don't really care but I would put money on Lewis's eye problem being just a sook for the fact he wasnt going to be able to get the job done so went for the excuse book. I seriously thought Dan was going to drop it. 1.5.-1.8 seconds a lap quicker over the last 8 or so laps...he was MOVING. But once again showed his class and maturity behind the wheel. And when the throw a mic in front of him...he is a team player that diffusers retarded journos trying to make something of the 5-1 quali record and points finishes vs Vettel's poor year to date. Was happy to see Romain fighting the car and bringing it home...despite car problems all week and good on Bianchi, Happy it wasnt his hack team mate that got points, but sad it wasnt Caterham and Kobi Oh, and I think this weekend was the first of what we are going to see a lot of from the half way point on. Engine failures and engine penalties. Ferrari and Renault runners have used almost their entire seasons worth of gear before the half way mark!
  2. Can you go into a bit more detail? BE greatly appreciated. Have you run the MX72 pads before? What pads were you running on your old original R32 brakes? So you have not tracked it but sounds like you have driven it plenty on the street. Do you have ABS? You have uber power so guessing you have used them for hard stops? If you have ABS does it kick in far earlier than before? What % increase or decrease do you have in pedal effort to stop the car in general driving. LOL, lastly what BMC are you running ... sorry about all the questions
  3. Hope you have ABS. Either that or I hope you dont tail gate as first time you have to stop in an emergency I am betting $100 you will lock up and sail into something you dont want to hit Your car will seriously stop MILES better if you get R32 GTSt or Z32 300ZX calipers and run them on a 324mm rotor. Actually, an R34 GTT setup with a 310mm rotor would probably be better again! If you must run the EVO Brembos then all you are going to need is something like a basic Bendix pad. A high performance pad like PMU is only going to compound the problems of locking up
  4. LOL was thinking less Suzuka and more Monaco
  5. Will be interesting how they go about it. My first reaction was that Rick Kelly seemed to show up the Nissan Intl drivers at Bathurst in the GTR. Fair enough, hometown advantage of Bathurst but had no seat time in the car....so was thinking htey need to up their driving talent pool
  6. And sure the media like baiting him...but now comes and says he will deal with Rosberg the same way Senna deal with Prost. LOL, great so he is going to crash out. AWESOME!
  7. All that money on the engine swap. Should have bought another Charade. One of the funniest cars to ever lap EC
  8. Dont you have to return to the pits under your own steam and give afuel sample? Idling down the escape road until the end of the session may not be the best for the engine...But suppose it woul have only been 45-60 seconds which is what they do at pit exit these days
  9. Was thinking the same thing re a Monaco win and Brabhams passing. Anything is possible at that place....its like 2010 looking forward to each GP hoping that an Aussie can wrestle a win from a weekend
  10. It appears that c0ck sucker Lewis is back with his BS rhetoric-victim mentality http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/114066 Also interesting to be reading can Dan beat Mercedes. The fact they are talking about Dan looking more at one with the car still and closer to the Mercs. Would be an incredible first win
  11. Just read an article that he shoudl be revered as Don Bradman! Couldnt agree more!
  12. RIP Sir Jack. It is truly amazing what this man achieved and hope he is given the tributes he desrves. The man was a bold competitor and achieved soooo much!
  13. I think to answer the question you have to tell us what is wrong with the existing setup? What are its limitations?
  14. It does look like its going to take the two Mercs crashing into one another. The pace they showed after the pace car in Bahrain and the speed last weekend has got to take the wind out of the sails of other teams. Perhaps if Renault can bring their A-game by Silverstone then the back half of the year we can at least have races where they are pushed...but they would have to take a backwards step in development (perhaps learn that one from McLaren) and lsoe pace relative to RBR finding pace. But, being 1 second quicker in race pace at different circuits speaks volumes. But, I will hold off on the call that MB will win all GPs until we see the results of Silverstone and Hungary. LOL, I can only hope for a Brawn GP like stumble mid-end of season
  15. If you looked at the Lotus during the early and closing laps it had the lap speed to keep the Williams honest and Fezz behind....problem was they had an instrument problem that cut power for periods of the race and at times was only running on 5 cylinders Keen to see how Romain goes at Monaco...god knows he over drove last year and had a shocker
  16. Romain had a cracker! Had problems all race but still grabbed a solid 8th. Was good for a 5th olr 6th if the think ran on all 6 cylinders for the whole GP. So RBR is clear no.2...from there its l;ooking rather close between Fezz and Williams with Force India and Lotus sticking their noses in from time to time. LOL, all hail King Dennis...he is doing a stella job at McLaren!!!!
  17. I am stoked! Hope Romain can bring it home in 4th!
  18. I don't own a filthy GTR. GTSt FOR LIFE, just not with an RB20 anymore 10 years of use-abuse means the past few years lots of stuff has needed replacing and track time has been lean. Where were you between 2000-2011? Have you even gone quicker then a 2008 RB20 time ? So nobody has a proper GTX2860 result yet, only modded -5 housings?
  19. Yeh...getting pulled I over too much these days and so far so good but going for street legal club car so I can enjoy the next 15 years of ownership as much as the past 15 years. Also road trip to Spa, Zandvoort etc next year so need some reliable grunt to be quicker than the calibre of cars at European track days. Lol...hopefully Racepace power can beat 458/991 GT3 race car power
  20. So cant anyone really speak to whether GTS2860 with proper 3" anti surge cover will outperform std -5s ? Going to be a 2.8L with baby 260cams, std exhaust manifolds and .64 IWG rear housings Thinking I might try the 49 trim vs 58trim just so that the turbos come one nice and early and torque curve a little flatter to help little 265 rear tyres out a tad Want more than GT-SS but dont need as much as -5s. Other option is low mount single but point of new engine is will pass the "pop the bonnet test" for next few years so low mount twins easier to get away with
  21. Its the SH 10cm though. So bigger than the T67 L2 and normal TD06 10cm housing. The L2 seems to be all the rage....they are far easier to find and the std TD06 10cm housing about the hardest to find
  22. With that sort of response on an RB25 you are running a 10cm housing. Going from a 10cm to an 8cm housing on that sized turbo will really liven it up in the mid-late 3,000rpm brand but say goodbye to having any pull over 6,250rpm. I went from an 8cm and tried a 12cm because I couldnt get a 10cm housing and the 8cm was wild. 300rwkws and the think just blazed tyres with so much extra torque down low. Would suggest the 8cm will run better on E85 as it is too small IMO for a 2.5L engine and E85 masks such mismatches. I ove my Trust turbos but if you want more response then time to change turbo...not pay $400 for a different turbine housing and have a compromised result
  23. A few posters look silly in this thread and its not the person trying to sell the car. The same people who dont "get" this car also wouldn't understand why you would spend 40k on a 1963 Lotus Cortina that isnt registered but is log booked for Group Nb This car is a great performance package that lets you do numerous forms of motorsport and is damn reliable and well maintained. Hard life? Maybe the shell but even the paint/body is in great condition. The components in the car all get lifed and refurbished as part of ensuring its reliabilty in competitiveness. Remember it competes in tarmac rallies and won Targa Tas...you dont do that driving around in a car with flogged/worn out parts. Good luck to the seller. I have seen this car in person several times and you wouldn't know its history looking at the great conditions it been maintained in. Anyone that was at Albert Park F1 in 2013 would have seen and heard it belting around the circuit....its a damn good thing!
  24. Tragic isnt it
