  1. LOL, yeh hopefully there are a few good pics. I will be throwing soem coin at a commemorative/framed picture of it! I think after 19 races....there have not been too many where they occupy the same bit of track for the whole GP with neither having problems. In Brazil Vergne had a Webebr-esque start and that was it. He dropped it on teh last lap in US when the lap before I read he had a rushed lunge at Dan only to clip the Sauber a lap later. For a good part of the start of the year, on merit he looked the equal whilst Dan was having car problems. But when they were running he looked arguably the better pic but was hard to tell with poor pace of car and reliability. I think Dan has been damn solid post announcement when he could have been excused for dreaming for the remainder of the season when JEV mayhave got his chest out with something to prove. Has not worked out that way...and my boy Romain has been the kick ass Frenchman on the grid (ok Swiss-Frenchman) Good to read Webber pay Seb a compliment on his way out. ".... It's been a real pleasure for me to finish today's race like this. Yeah, and also to finish on the podium with arguable the two best guys of the generation we're in at the moment. I hold them in very high esteem. I'm happy with the finish and I'm happy to go and do something different now. It was a special day for myself"
  2. And, again, whether Dan has improved his race pace or Jev lost the plot. Start side by side and Jev never a threat of a point. Interesting to see how he goes alonside Kyvat who looks damn quick
  3. The podium was funny. And what a great moment to see Mark with his helmet off. I am hooked, going ot be hinting for the limited edition pic of that shot!. Cant wait to see him at Le Mans nest year. Austrian GP, Lemans and Goodwood means ery fe track days for me over the next 6 months
  4. Q: (Patricia Sanchez - Motorpasion F1) Mark, already we ask you what are going to miss now you're leaving, is there something you're happy to leave behind, maybe us journalists? MW: .... You strike up good friendships with a lot of people, not just the drivers but other people. Obviously there's some shit magazines that have to do shit journalism and that's normal but in the end, you've got to deal with those as well but in general it's a good professional tennis match and that's how we always like to play it. MW, will miss him calling it how it is in 2014. Seriously hope he does some guest commentary from time to time
  5. Personally, I would be sticking with Sauber over Force India. But obviously he has an idea of strengths of respective teams so doesnt look good for Sauber's prospects next year if Force India appear stronger on paper. Oh well, say goodbye to any hopes of Lotus having a good year. Maldando will be bending the car that often their factory will be working overtime to keep up with replacement parts let alone develop the car. I guess that means Di Resta is gone as well. Shame as the guy has some spunk and in hindsight McLaren would have been far better taking Di Resta rather than Perez last year. (or Hulk for that matter...still dont get the whole Perez thing unless a big part was potential Mexican coin)
  6. Keen to read next months F1 mag with the full article. http://www.formula1.com/news/interviews/2013/11/15276.html Having a BBQ and piss up at mine from 3am Monday morning before work to see the old boy off
  7. No Dans drive thru counted....I was typing as I postee. So its 3 results since Canada. I dont think he has beat him on track since Canada when looking at weekends when one or both havent messed up
  8. Just looked. There was a few retirements in there but since Canada he has beat Dan once in Hungary. I suppose you can say twice if you want to include Japan where he finished one place ahead after Dan got that drive through for overtaking off the road...extra stop and still finishes just behind team mate. And Singapore after crashing out. 3 points finishes vs 7...I can see why I formed the opinion i did
  9. Umm, who got the penalty for hatchet racing? I genuinely believe leading up to the RBR announcement about Webbers replacement you could make the argument that JEV should have at least been able to test the car at Silverstone and worthy of the seat Outside of Dan binning it at Singapore....I cant recall JEV getting near Q3, beating Dan in a race. JEV needs to get his head straight and lift his game and start qualifying better. I think the argument of his racing ability falls under serious scrutiny when a car prves its capable of qualifying 10th and getting a point and you qualify 15th or something and over the course of the race get the car up to 11th which is where the car should have been all along
  10. Bottas...great job
  11. What was with Mark just walking off? LOL, guessing he just wants off the ride asap. Maybe too much that he simply cant match Vettel more than once in 2013
  12. I have never had a load of time for Pastor, but respect the fact that when he is quick he can be quick. But frankly his behavior this weekend is rather retarded
  13. Keep it simple and stop buying and trying sh1t that is only going to keep it and you off the road longer. Std CAS..Pay someone very vredible to do the rings on your pistons and rhen volt it together yourslef. Not hard but easy to get wrong. Rings are only thing that experience pays....
  14. Importantly... A team of teenagers from Australia have won the 2013 F1 in Schools world title
  15. His c0ck was dangling and got stuck in the rear wheel ... was rather painful
  16. Beer Baron doesnt get on here much these days. But whether AJ is a lump of a man or not these days matter little. Based on the speed in which he was sliding around Easter Creek in an LFA with Baron on board: i am guessing he still has more talent then likes of Chilton, even with poor aero to compensate his size and ballast But in all seriousness, I wonder how much tyre testing miles Jaimie has done with Pirelli. Kms Buemi has done with RBR drive and promo days and test in old RB5 or whatever for 2014 tyres etc etc. IEven Kobi...I imagine there was a load of people trying to sell themselves to Lotus once Kimi puleld out of US nad Brazil. I am kind of disappointed they went for Heikki as love to have seen either of the ex STR pilots coul dhave done. But, at the same time...lets hope Heikki does a good job...as love to see Lotus beat Fezz in the constructors!
  17. Ah Schuey? Havent read that one. Heikki has been conformed for remainding races at Lotus. Massa is confirmed at Williams alongside Bottas so that is Pastor out on his a55. Be itneresting to see where he lands. But looks like Di Resta is GONE! So much for the hopes of the Poms to get Bird into F1 if they cant keep Di Resta there with no money
  18. Webber Following news that Kimi Raikkonen is to miss the last two races of the Formula 1 season due to ‘back problems’, several other drivers have revealed that they too will be sitting out the remainder of the year...#FernandoAlonso gave the excuse that his back was ‘still a bit hurty’. #FelipeMassa claimed that after signing for Williams he had accidentally ‘thrown away’ all his Ferrari overalls. #LewisHamilton announced he was missing the last two races on account of having ‘no one to look after the dogs’ #NicoRosberg said he mistakenly thought Abu Dhabi was the last race of the year and had ‘booked a two week non-refundable holiday at Center Parcs’. #PastorMaldonado claimed his seat had got jammed too far toward after the team adjusted it ‘to let Massa have a go’ #SergioPerez will be unable to drive on account of ‘crying too much’. #MarkWebber will not complete the season because he ‘just can’t be f**king arsed’. In total, 20 of the current 22 drivers have elected not to compete in the final two races. As a result, the only entries in this weekend’s US GP will be Sebastian Vettel, who will win as usual, and Marussia’s Max Chilton, who will somehow finish 19th.
  19. Flacid
  20. Even with Williams struggling at the back this season. I think they have the infrastructure to do well. You only have to look at their 2012 car. If they had two good pilots last year they would have been very competitive. Much like Lotus this year IMO! So Williams with Symonds etc on board could build a good car next year. Mercedes power looks promising. I am hoping Smedley takes a job with them and that Brawn could find his way there as Team Principal, much like the role vacated by Toto and leaving Symondss to grunt along on the technical side. I can see 2015 being a good eyar for Wililams if they kick a few goals in the next few weeks with some more signings. I think Bottas has done a great job this year. He is one of the 5 guys I pay particular attention to every weekend and he is doing a damn good job this year. He is developing well and not doing stupid things. All seems to be well in control....vs the likes of Jev who is more experienced that does far sillier things time and time again
  21. Oh, rajab...the question is now where is he going Please not Lotus. Doesnt seem to be a place for him at Sauber. Surely Force India are not going to drop Di Resta...so perhaps Sutil? Please, please, please NOT LOTUS! And its official...Peres is GONE! Going to be a few cashed up drivers walking around pit lane. You have to be worried if your Di Resta and Sutil.Surely Hulk is going to get the Lotus seat rather than Maldanado? If Pastor ends up at Lotus then I hope he is able to at least able to show that with a decent car he isnt a desperado but I am not holding my breath. This is shaping up to be a very interesting 2014, new team combos...new engines....who can grow or prove themselves in their new teams as there is a lot to prove for some drivers
  22. I need some 10" rears but sadly need 35-42 offsets
  23. Time will prove you all wrong re Romain. At the end of the 2013 season he will still have less kms in a F1 car than Heikki when he kicked off his F1 career in 2007. Heikki was crappola at Renault and his two seasons with McLaren even with all those testing miles. So factor where Romain is now given his F1 mileage and I reckon I am still backing a winner He is really the first of the no testing guys to get a good seat in F1 and learn the ropes. Magnussen is meant to be a quick young guy....so more power to McLaren if they give him a season re Honda to find his feet. It wont be hard to show flashes of talent and speed alongside "the car has no grip" Button
  24. The best news of the year so far is Perez looks like being booted. The only time he gets anywhere is when he hatchets other people or pulls risky strategy on tyres that pays off. So Perez, take your Tex Mex money and ...
