So many writing off Dan before he has even lined up for a single practice session in the same car on the same weekend. I am not convinced it has been done purely because the expectation is that he will be a lap dog. I think he has real pace...if RBR wanted to make their lives easy they would have canned Webber 2 years ago and put in any number of drivers like Di Resta, Hulkm an STR Jr etc. Webber has tried to give as good as he has taken and the team has hardly been harmonious whilst he and Seb have been battling. I think its too presumptious to think that RBR want a lap dog and No.2 by definition. If Dan cant keep pace then he will be a No. 2 by default not by design. The other big reason why I think they need to put someone who will put it up Vettel is that by the end of his cotnract he will have been there 7 years! I think he will be looking for a change/challenge (provided the other team is competitive like mercedes or Ferrari) if he gets bored at RBR. And a young guy beating him will keep him interested and motivated. Kimi, based on his behaviour at Ferrari doesnt always stay all that motivated when things are not going to plan

You have to like their chances of being one of the 3 strongest teams next year. They have had a tech re-shuffle which should have cleared the decks which along with a poor 2013 will allow a good run at the 2014 car Plus, I doubt Perez or Button are getting the most out of the 2013 car. History shows Perez cant qualify and nor can Button and 4 weekends out of 5 Button can't get everything out of the car...so granted car isnt great but doubt its as bad as the results suggest

I would rather see Kimi at McLaren replacing Perez than Fezz replacing Massa. I dont think Fezz can get the best out of Kimi...

You can...but when you are targetting a runout figure lower than .15mm...many say lower then that in performance applications with large rotors then I think most people frown upon rubbing an abrasive on a rotor face in an uncontrolled manner. Also be careful of the grit you use as you dont want to "polish" or improve any surface face that will encourage glazing

Yeh, the two medium stints up front seemed odd. Perhaps they were banking on a safety car to catch him up doing the long stint last. Keeping a casual eye on their respective pace Dans opening stint on hards was equal to Jev on the softs so doesnt appear the STR had the pace to clear cars early on. Estaban seemed to finally show something this race. Lets hope he can kick on and consolidate as he has lacked even those moments of some promise.

He did 20 laps on them. HUH? Jesus...its pretty straight forward. They started 18 and 19. No safety car or major number of cars dropping out and Dan beat him by a few places and to 10th and 1 point The fact that Dan went longer on his first set of tyres and had more life in his tyres at the end of the race is a credit to him..its not like he got a free set of tyres levitated onto his car for no time penalty of being in the pits!!!

The last few GPs are evidence that Horner should have taken the approaches of Hamo last year a lot more serious I think this is the 3rd or 4th time this year Vettel has edged Mark out in quali by hundredths of a second...hopefully Mark can keep all 4 wheels on this weekend and take a Spa victory
