Like I said, will be interesting to see the results. The flap can open however it likes, exhaust flow is has to turn 90deg out of the wastegate orifice cast into the housing and then again as it merges with the flow of the exhaust gas. If he has the sizing sorted then will be a nice solution. And re the more power/boost less exhaust flow...true but the problem is compounded as you also have more mass of airflow through the engine which needs to go through an orifice in the exhaust housing scroll the size of a 10c piece and when the gate opens another 20c piece which when it opens has to merge without causing turbulence and back pressure to all that exhaust flow through the turbine. I sure as shit have no idea how it all does what it does so well...just have seen for years people try to get the same result as my setup out of the internal gate TD06 turbos and fail, only for those to go external gate setup and the things work so much better.

interested to see how it goes...wouldnt you expect the same poor performance as Trust TD06 internal gate turbos when they make wastegate gas turn 90deg, travel an inch then turn another 90 deg?

Great to see my old town in the news. I love crazy Hyderabad. The officials in that town know the game. Use your position and title to make threats against a bloke with buckets of cash hiding it from creditors....get your lazy payout of a few hundred crore and case goes away and creditors still go without! Great system of democracy!

Yeh, Dan has at least pulled a crazy P6 quali from the car. Would have had points in Monza but a failure, 8th on the weekend but a failure. There has been enough glimmer there as well as absence of stupid things to keep him in the hunt. I think Vergne shoudl be retained but his age and less experience has shown with his wacky driven in Valencia, i read a driving error at Monza put him out at the first corner lose....and he hasnt really shown a ot of quali pace...but is a strong racer amd both seem to have great attitudes and work well together Caterham are coming out saying they will have some major news in the next few days. Hopefully they are poaching good staff off Force India for next year

Is everybody else able to read stories in the autosport website? I am no longer able to read articles. It looks like they have gone full pay access Also, all wait/pray for now is for Senna to get the ass. To think he almost tricked me with the few races he had at Lotus last year. Upon reflection you can understand why Heidfeld was so pissed off for losing his seat to the worlds nicest but slowest F1 driver

Joe Saward is still of the opinion that Webber will be at Ferrari in 2014. I can see Webber being willing but dont see a Ferrari need for him. Plenty fo other capable guys to drive alongside Alonso until Alonso retires. Guys like Hulk, Rosberg etc get a chance in a top car if they shine then great...if not when Alonso retires hunt for Vettel in 2017 if some other hotshot hasnt come along in the meantime

So much Massa hate. His form in the last few races is the guy we saw alongside Schuey in his final year and alongside Kimi. Nowhere near he talent of Hamilton but i tell you what his behavior in the hours of thinking he had won then realising he had lost to Lewis was showed the character of a champion! The way Lewis throws his toys out the pram every few weeks and plays victim shows he isnt able to stand up and be counted as a man let alone a champion. Read his latest twitter outburst having a sook that Button had un-followed him and people are abandoning him...only to find out later that Button had never followed him so stop being a paranoid, bitchy sook. So many examples of sooky, bitchy selfish, me-me-me behaviour. His trip over his dick losing places to Vettel and co in the fial stint to lose the WDC only to have Glock lose tyre temp and give Lewis the WDC i

If you don;t have to get anything done, ie work I think Italy would be a pretty cool place to live.

Powertune Twin In-Tank Fuel Pump Kit: R33
Roy replied to donut_kng's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
And the size of the surge tank is the same for all applications ranging from 1,2,3 etc pumps? I would be interesing to see how if at all it affects fuel temps over various applications -
No way Newey will go to Ferrari. I cant remember the ins and outs of it but Ferrari had problems back in the day with John Barnard not wanting to move to Italy so set up a design office in UK meaning didnt have to spend all his time in Italy. They made it work but I read Todt scrapped it and in came Brawn/Byrne and Ferrari abandoned the idea of decentralised design. I suppose you can never say never...but Newey didnt like the curtains and McLaren I dont think he would like them at Ferrari. After all it was DC that talked him into meeting with Horner and RBR and told him that their approach would give him the required freedoms within the team and outside of work. I just cant see him leaving RBR unless Horner and other major changes are made to the detriment of the team. Not something that Red Bull will do since they are now the most profitable energy drink manufacturer so would be silly to mess with their most successful brand recognition tool

Powertune Twin In-Tank Fuel Pump Kit: R33
Roy replied to donut_kng's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
So is that a surge tank with 4 internal fuel pumps? -
Another thing...Frankly its probably just Ferrar rumour to try to and disturb Vettel and RBR concentration going into the final few rounds on the 2012 season...head to head with Nando. Any disruption they can put in the RBR camp they will

The Vettel to Ferrari is BS. Vettel is all about the stats and come end of 2013 he isnt going to leave the team that has won 3, perhaps 4 out of 4 of the last WCCs and given him at least 2 WDCs, perhaps 3. His best bet to beat all the records he is so concerned about it to drive for the strongest team. Smart money is on RBR again next year....and sure engine is a change up but with new fresh rules RBR will be a good team as long as they have funding and Newey and others around him The inside Ferrari F1 team contact is no different to the BMW mechanic i spoke with years ago after he first signed with RBR. The guy winked and said we have an option and when its right for us we will bring him back to partner Kubica. So much for that scoop.

Oh what I want to do will look AWESOME...or really stupid to others...I dont care. My second option is to paint it up to look like this and get a race suit to suit...

I hope Hulk doesn't go to Sauber. Many are saying its a done deal but would really like the guy to go back to Williams

How is a vinyl wrapped helmet going to reveal damage to the helmet? Doesnt that fly in the face of helmet condition inspection 101?

Kobi is great, He is a goo, aggressive overtaker. Generally a tough and generally fair racer with turns of speed. Perez is a great talent, but looking at Buttons years of being lost in cars and setup. His performance in the Brawn after the first 8 races and more recently in the McLaren it doesn't fill you with confidence that he can properly convey to engineers and designers what he wants the car to be doing. He knows all too well what he doesnt like about it when lapping...but I agree the two of them look to be compounding each others weaknesses and in a year where status quo is going to be simimilar and the bottom teams continue to find the fractiosn of time that the big teams found 12 months ago...its will be easy to see Macca no. 3-5 in the constructors. I was shocked last night to see that Ferrari have overtaken them for 2nd in the WCC. Its a joke that with the car McLaren have had and Massa's absenteeism for most of the year that they are 3rd. Of the driver movement left the only one that is of interest to me is Williams line up. I cant see them giving Bottas the leg up...they have too much pace at the moment not to have a more experienced punter in the seat. I think Jaimie or Hulk are a chance.
