I hear what you are saying. SO many people carry on that the std manifold is good for 300-350rwkws etc, I have long been an advocate for binning exhaust manifold asap...but others are happy to use it and hold back the performance gains available to them...combined with the fact for the same price of the HKS GTRS you can buy a complete TD06 setup. So based on dollars spent it is a fair comparison. Anyway , interesting to see more billet results

Now also for sale my TD05H-18G with 3" inlet. Its a Kando, new and never used. This stuff is being sold as work plans OS means pet projects are all being scrapped. It has a Subaru core so is 360deg bearing with water cooled core and oil lube TD05H-18G Asking $540 for the turbo with no exhaust housing or $750 with the Trust 8cm rear housing (3 bolt)

I say that was the case in the Irvine/Rubens and Schuey days. That was brought about mostly by the fact that Schuey was the best driver on the grid and when your car isnt as quick as the Macs and Williams they threw their best efforts behind one guy to get the WDC. But yes, the second seat werre the compliant type. But, when they signed Kimi with Massa. Any favouritism expected towards Kimi didnt eventuate. Then the following season....ALonso has seized the leadership role...he is a calibre apart from Alonso...much like Schuey and others in the past. I think Schuey would go fine alongside Alonso. Quick car, back in form and knows that politically in the team he would be on equal footing with Alonso. I hope it happens

Another R32 Money Pit
Roy replied to SimonR32's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Keep the T88. Its a real man's turbo! -
Really? A friend had a GTRS on his RB25 , it replaced the GCG Hiflow that was on it and it was no better than the hi flow and made a few rwkws less. ON an RB20 a 20G spank the GTRS. In my limited experience they are a rubbish turbo?!?!

Its not an official WB effort. Paid for by private money ad dont get to use the Merc name or AMG name, simply the 3 stay logo on the front grille. I hear what you say about domination of other cars in other years. The M3 had its time, the Sierra. But all were compromised in one area. M3 grunt. Sierra tyres and others just ordinary. The Commodore was a reasonable package with regards to weight, power and tyre. So it was an interesting mix of compromised cars. The R31 was ok...not quite the power of the Sierra, but better drivability and tyre wear. It wasnt until the GTR came along that a car had no weakness. Which was against the grain of Grp A which was to homologate a bucket mass produced car and get it to lap quickly

I read it was both systems. But if what you are saying is right then they wont wheel it out next year as that will give the other teams a chance to look at it and copy it for next season. They will perfect it over the off season and try to steal a march for next year. (perhaps )

Its banned for next year

You have to say, Rosberg looked mighty impressive the past two seasons giving it to Schuey. It does appear with no testing like Schuey was used to it took a long time to get back up to speed. His first season was a sham. Last year there were a few signs...this year he has made two stupid mistakes (FAR WORSE THAN ANYTHING MY BOY ROMAIN HAS DONE ) but he has shown his class and been giving it to Rosberg. If only not for that 5 spot penalty at Monaco I have no hesitation in stating that he woudl have got the better of Webber , especially given how the race panned out. I would love to see Schuey return to Ferrari, even the Sauber would be an upgrade over this years Merc Alonos need not fear any driver out there. Schuey would push him which I think is something that he needs to keep motivation up in his 4th year with a team that has not delivered him a car to do the job

Bluntly, there are no internal gate options. Best look at 3071 or GTX3071
-
So will Mac be happy with Hamo taking thje No.1 to Merc? Another bitter pill...though they did teal it with Button off that same Merc team..and talk that Schuey to replace Perez....funny it will be an upgrade based on teams performances this year
-
I will also add I hope MS bags a win before departing...or takes out Alonso, Lewis, Vettel and a few others every GP to give Mark a Bradbury's chance
-
Harry... I am betting you were big at high school debates back in the day I so hope Perez hands it to Hamo GP after GP....but good on Hamo for taking the plunge. I respect him for leaving McLaren for a team that has done nothing in its 10-14 whatever years in F1 except steal a 4-6 GP advantage with Button at the wheel. Surprised it was Perez who McLaren signed....I thought the sponsorship clash would have pushed one of the FI drivers into the fold. I take it this means that Vodafone will be dropping their Mac sponsorship as some rumours have suggested earlier in the year and Mac will pic up Perez's telecom sponsorship I also assume that jaime alguersuari will step up for the Sauber drive. You read it here first ..I will also add that Lewis best start getting to know JV as he will be able to tech him a thing or two about leaving a top team after winning one WDC and spending the rest of your career eating d1ck in the midfield

6 Piston & 4 Piston Brembo's For Sale! Cheap!
Roy replied to MrEvo's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
If you measure the ID and OD of the rubber seals then I can equate that to a piston diameter from the Brembo catalogue. A friend is after some 6 pots for 355mm rotors so could be a go for him and his WRX -
6 Piston & 4 Piston Brembo's For Sale! Cheap!
Roy replied to MrEvo's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Interested in the 6 piston calipers if you can post the piston sizes. They look to be FPV calipers? -
Lets see if the story pans out. But good on Hamo if he moves. I will respect him more for it. If he does go, given Schueys pace I would lvoe to see him on a 1 year contract at Ferrari for Perez to jump in for 2014. Schuey has got his head around the car this season and has been quicker than Rosberg. He has binned it, and had some reliability problems...but you would expect a rookie to bin it from time to time as well so why not take a pensioner for a year...who is quick and woudl be amazing for marketing "Michaels heart has always been at Ferrari" type nonsense from the Italians

Good luck with the build. I saw this car when it was being advertised then my heart sank when I saw it had been sold. Then I saw it at Racepace and was happy to see the new owner was going to be giving her the goods!

Mixing Medium And Soft Compound Tyres
Roy replied to adam-__-'s topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
In My case they are different widths front to rear so the wider has to go on the rear for clearance...which happen to be the soft compound. Wont be the end of the world. The way I turn in early and have no grunt...lol I will probably overheat the fronts before the soft rears -
What does "hot exit" mean. I hope nobody had issues with fire

Mixing Medium And Soft Compound Tyres
Roy replied to adam-__-'s topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
eek. I am about to run soft rears and med fronts. Only going that road as getting tyres cheap. Hope it isnt too bad a setup -
So ... Orchard Towers? Its funny. I was only thinking on the weekend that perhaps a move back to Singapore is on the cards. But I quikcly remembered how an NA Impreza cost 4k a month and my apartment was 4.5k a month. It should not be a surprise that Singapore has the most millionaires per capita than anywhere else in the worlds
-
Moving on...it was a good start to the Singapore GP. Webber was in a meat grinder and all drivers gave each other ample room...just

Do you work for Fox US? Never let the facts get in the way of a good rant from a high horse! Schuey penalty is about right in my eyes. It was a bad mistake but that's all it was. Was gutted for Pastor. I don't really care about him but would love to see Williams get another good result. Is it too much to hope for that they show some more race winning pace and next year attract a top shelf driver to replace Senna? Would love to see Hulk return or someone like Di Resta get the seat. Dare I say I would love to see Massa get the seat if he gets booted. May be the change he needs to get back to his previous form.
