I,ve got a set of gtst springs out of an RB20det.
-
Hi, am about to fit gtst valve springs to my R32 RB25de head, but before i bolt it down im fitting oil restrictors to the block. Can someone tell me if the RB25de head has hydraulic or solid lifters? Iv been looking around but havent found a straight yes or no answer. So any help would be awesome. Also what is the advantage of having solid lifters (eg the RB26 motors) Cheers xsv_32

Ive been building my r32 coupe up and have bought a 5 stud conversion as it was a non turbo model and needed the increase in stopping power. Being from a wrecker the rotors are 2nd hand and i want to find out if they are still warrantable. So can anyone tell me the minimum thickness of the brake rotors for a R32 GTST?

yeah they must be they are only a fraction too big. Could i get the fuel rail and runners machined to fit them or is it better to just get different injectors. Had a look on trademe and the other sard injectors to suit gtrs have 14mm o rings top and bottom..... Anyone who has top mount injectors to fit 20det/25de intake setup around the 6/700cc mark for sale please message me.
-
Um no good, tried swapping the injector o rings but they still wont fit at the rail or the plenum. May have to sell and buy something else. Any suggestions or offers for replacement injectors? The current ones are 670cc's so nothin smaller than 650 i suppose. Have to be top feed.

Awesome, il give that a go tonight.

Im using the rb25de intake and have top feed gtst rail (r32) and top feed injectors but they dont want to fit into the rail as the o ring seems to fat. Can i replace the o rings or does it just take a lot of work to squeeze them in there? The 25de ones pull straight out relatively easily though...... any advice??????

Ive gone with the factory plenum changed to front facing, and am using a high mount gt35/40 replica turbo. Will i still fit the strut brace overtop or will i have to end up taking to the bonnet with my angle grinder? Id like to keep it all looking subtle so no-one will suspect a thing but if i dont have a choice il get cutting.

Crank Strength And Upgrading Options.
xsv_32 replied to LedZepLen's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Nice. Oh to have a big budget lol. Yup the cranks in the 30's are good for huge horsepower and are factory nitraded to boot. Use good bearings and the right oil pump setup and you're away laughing!! -
RB30e block, Factory 25de head, Wiseco gudgeon pins and forged pistons (40 thou oversized), Eagle rods. Wanting 9:1 comp ratio as running big boost but still want good response. Any suggestions on headgasket thickness?

RB20det inlet gasket will fit 25de head and vice versa. And yes, R32 RB5de head will bolt straight down onto the 30 block.

Im using a t70 which is a garret replica, (couldnt afford the genuine item ) Its rated to 700hp, 40psi, externally gated and is of considerable size A friend of mine used one on his wrx (shudder) and was getting boost by 4000rpm. So hopefully il spool up around 3000rpm and listen to it whistle all the way up to redline When funding allows il upgrade to the t51r.

Im using th 25de (vvt). Ive been told i have two main options, one is to block the rear gallery all together but was told it can starve one end of the head during start up. Which isnt much of a trouble as it disappears once oil pressure is up but id rather go with the other option to just restrict both galleries using the tomei restrictors. Anyone else gone 4 this option?

Yeah im building a 30det for my skida but ive used a fully forged internal setup with race bearings and arp bolts. Been told that thirtys are great for reliable torque and power all day every day if you keep them looked after. Have fun with your build.

Yup i have a 32 coupe and the gauge and shift light got stolen out of it in broad daylight, outside my house! Luckily it was only a rolling body at the time which makes me kinda stupid for having them in there anyway! lol The build is nearing completion and ive been thinking about security too. Im considering the following. -Alarm -Fuel pump switch -Steering lock Was wondering if you could swithc the afm? Or having the ignition barrel as a dummy and using a hidden start button

Cool also need to no if rb26 valve springs will fit to the 25de head im using as the factory ones wont hold up with the boost.... Iv heard mixed opinions but i really need a straight answer if possible. If anyone could help me out it would be great

Hey quick question, will an r32 gtr sandwich plate fit between an rb30 block and gearbox?? Any advice would be tops!
-
Im building an rb30det for my 32 coupe and im thinkin of radiator possibilities. Im not sure if i should fork out for an alloy item when a factory item of some kind could do just as good and save me some moolaa. So any ideas or suggetions for what i can fit in there would be great. Cheers, xsv_32

Was wondering if many have used the rb30 gearboxes? I bought mine with the block im using for my 30 build and iv heard heaps about the gtr and 25t g/boxes bein really strong but not so much is said about the rb30 boxes. So any advice or opinions on their strength? also what are the ratios like? Cheers.

hey im buildin my rb30det atm and im tryin to sort an intake setup 4 it. Using a rb25de head i was considering using a factory intake but have the plenum modified to front facing. But recently i heard that this mod can lean out the 6th piston or something. Any opinions or advice would be great.

Apparently the gtr springs wont fit? Only rb20det ones or something like that. Anyone have an answer to what springs will and wont work in a 32 25de head?
-
If they fit?... How much NZD?
-
Awesome. Im pretty sure its a r32 25de head which is perfect bar the weak springs... Was just masking up the block to paint and discovered that the engine builder had already put oil gallery restricters in for free! SCORE. Any suggestions on the best gasket to use? The block and head have only been surfaced and not skimmed so what thickness should i aim for to get around 8.5:1 - 9:1 compression.? Also the pistons are oversized about 1mm...
-
Um thanks but im from christchurch new zealand lol. Anyone know how to tell the difference between a r32 and r32 rb25de head??
-
umm no i didnt fit one. i didnt plan to rev it too hard but i guess i should have. What springs can i use and what diameter should i restrict the oil to ?
