  1. How many times a week to do you train? That's a big squat session.
  2. I think most of it is to compare to your next analysis. If you maintain your weight, but your BF% is down you know you've lost fat and put on muscle. You'll also be able to tell exactly where you gained said muscle as you'll be able to compare your chest size, etc.
  3. This is what I'm pushing her towards. That 21% discount on an already excellent value car is just too good to pass up. Her main issue is she has driven a Corolla for the last 7-8 years and would like something else. She likes the the FT-86 though, if only it were released this year!
  4. Does she want a brand new car or is she willing to get one that's a few years old and save thousands? She's willing to buy a demo model, but needs a new car. Her dad is paying $20,000 towards whatever she gets, but he is flat out against anything second hand. 2. Can your sister drive a manual? My sister can, my girlfriend can't 3. What size hatch does she want eg a Mini, VW Polo, Fiat 500, Citroen DS3 or the larger VW Golf, Ford Focus, Audi A3 size. Probably the slightly larger. She prefers the Golf over the Polo, but she'll consider them all. 4. If she buys a European car from the 'premium' brands like BMW, Merc, Audi or even the Japanese Lexus will she be able to afford the (usually more expensive) maintenance? She could afford it, but I think it would be more than she realizes. 5. Does she want a sports model like VW GTIs or Focus XR5 or is she happier with the more generic, better fuel economy models? She doesn't give a shit about performance, so long as its not absolutely gutless.
  5. Hey Bec can I get a room for myself, Brad and Tayler (those two can share a bed). Both nights. Cheers.
  6. Hey guys, My girlfriend is looking for a new car to replace her old Corolla. She wants a small, fuel efficient, good looking, 5dr car thats reliable to drive daily. She will probably keep this car for 10+ years. Her budget is $20,000-$30,000 but she'd be willing to spend more if the value for money is there. We're looking at almost all Japanese and European hatches. We're also considering the CT200h Lexus Hybrid. Its $44k but my girlfriends brother works for Toyota/Lexus and gets a 21% discount on all cars. Does anyone have any experience with the Lexus or Hybrids in general? Is the Hybrid technology good enough to last 10 years and 200,000kms if maintained properly? Of the other hatches avaliable, does anyone have any personal experience with any? Any you would or would not recommend? Appreciate any feedback, cheers.
  7. Team orange is old. Way to be a sheep Jett.
  8. Eh, stay away from roids. What's the point? You've still got tons of gains left in you naturally. If you're still lifting in 10 years, sure go a head, but I think its stupid for amateurs to jump straight on it.
  9. Yeah I know what you mean. I was kind of hoping for a bang for your buck tyre like the KU36 is for performance, but in this case just daily driving. I'll give Wheeltec a call and see what they recommend, cheers.
  10. Hey guys, I've got a friend who needs new tyres for her Falcon. Its just a daily driver, never raced, etc. She is a student so something cheap is preferable. However, she's not the best driver so its probably best that she doesn't get anything terrible. Just wondering what you guys recommend, and the cheapest place to get said tyres in Melbourne. Thanks.
  11. I've only just bought it and I'm loving it so far. Little frustrating at the start, but so long as you expect to die and learn from said deaths its actually quite a challenging and rewarding game. Tried the warrior class first, but I messed the character up. So now I'm the Thief and I'm loving the dagger attack speed.
  12. Nah, I come off my P's in May. So the plan is to save till then buy a registered 180sx/R32 GTST (gonna harass you for a ride this round as I've never actually been in one) which I'll garage mostly and drive to track days. Once I graduate and have a bit more money coming in I might look at buying a tow car and doing it properly. Until then I'm just another volunteer. After several years of almost constantly competing at DECA I feel I owe the club a few volunteer days lol.
  13. Supra is sold and gone (to a Shep local, we may see it still!) but I'll still be there. I'll sort out who with tomorrow but it'll likely be me + 3.
  14. I go to that gym he's talking about and none of the women look large or muscular. They look atheletic and strong, yes, but theyre powerlifters not body builders. Uh the gym I go to has no machines at all, just power racks and free weights. Most of the guys in there squat at least 130kg, with quite a few doing 230kg+. There are a couple of world record holders and some of them have never used a leg press in their life. None of them have used one since joining this gym.
  15. I wish I could do this. If I eat anything more than fruit and a water protein shake (no milk) before a workout I spew every time. Granted I'm doing pretty intense full body workouts, but even if I take it easy I still feel nauseous.
  16. Main benefit to squatting is that it releases growth hormones which assist in the growth of all your muscles, not just legs. These hormones are released through your spine which why sitting the bar on your back is essential. Even standing there with the weight on your back sucking in huge breaths before your next rep is hugely beneficial towards hormone release.
  17. Thanks guys, I fixed it. Its a dreadful survey lol, but it needs to be very basic and repeatative to easily analysis the results.
  18. Eat like I do. I've gained like 5kg in the last two months or so from ~63kg to ~68kg. Breakfast is the most important meal, eat up. Bacon and eggs is great, with toast and a huge glass of milk. In fact, aim to drink a 2L bottle of full cream milk a day. Eat lots and lots of nuts. I love my almonds although they are expensive. I spend about $20-30 a week on them. Beans, rice and pasta are great too. Just make sure you have a decent amount of protein (30-40g) with each meal. You should be having a meal every 2-3hours. Second most important meal is the one you eat straight after you workout. I always get a double quarter pounder from Maccas on the way home from the gym. I starving by the time I get out of the gym and those suckers have like 48g of protein and a ton of energy, plus they taste awesome. Best advice I can give is to prepare your meals the day before. Eating constantly it hard, especially if you're preparing each meal individually. Make a big batch of pasta and mince sauce. Make like 6 bowls and put them in the fridge. Each them constantly the next day. Cook a large amount of chicken breast, rice and salad. Portion them into 4-5 tuperware containers and eat one on each break at work. You should never feel hungry, eating should not be enjoyable, it has now become a chore.
  19. Because like you I had heaps of money. I just stocked up on it because its crazy powerful, if anything it made the game very easy. I rarely used it outside bosses except on the occasional robot I ran into.
  20. Thanks mate.
  21. lol all you need is typhoon ammo. I had stocked up on like 10 uses from the limb clinic and it takes like 3 uses. Anyone else find it funny that the zombie soldiers are more dangerous running around mindless, than they were when working together with machine guns and grenades?
  22. Hey guys, I'm doing a market research assignment for Uni and I need your help. Could you please complete this survey for me, shouldn't take more than a minute or two and would help me greatly. http://monashbuseco.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_3vZdD8BaNJFaEyE Cheers.
  23. Just a short update. Still lifting, seeing great gains. Up to about 68kg, with massive gains in my lifts. About 3 weeks ago I switched to PTC Frankston which is awesome.
  24. I can't remember her name, but there's some girl from Australia who was invited to Japan to drift her in NA Silvia in some event. My Supra can drift alright, I'd need a better clutch to get those 60+km turns as you need to clutch kick it quite a lot. I'd agree with getting some sort of NA Silvia though, the Supra can handle a single drift okay, but when you try and link it up the weight transfer just kicks your ass.
