  1. Hey guys, I'm seriously considering ditching the Supra and buying a track dedicated car. I hate the attention, the cost, the impracticality and recently I've been driving a newer more standard car and the ease and comfort of it is a nice change. If I sold the Supra I'd have about $10,000 to play with, but obviously the less I spend on a daily the better because I'll have more to put towards the track car (most likely a Silvia). I've got less than a year left on my P's, and I'm 90% certain P platers (can anyone confirm this, in VIC btw) can't tow other cars however this gives me more time to save, and if I did find a track car before I get off my P's I'd probably find a friend to drive for me. Moving on, are there any reliable, comfortable P plate legal cars out there for under $10,000 capable of towing a 1100kg+ car? Obviously 6cylinder Falcons and Commodores come to mind, but I really don't know much about them. Any other cars I could consider? Am I better waiting and just going for a V8? Cheers.
  2. You're gonna supply a whole slap? f**kin' bargain!
  3. Downloading now. Watched a review which seemed cool.
  4. Get EV Nova. It's old school but a boatload of fun. That or download Minecraft if you've never played it.
  5. lol that thread was worth it just for this:
  6. Seriously? I'm the least handy, least practical, and least mechanically minded person you'll ever come across, but I'd never pay someone $20 to cut a piece of wood in half.
  7. You can always pull the fuse on the R32 GTR, but I still wouldn't get one. Unless you've got another $20,000 up your sleeve incase something goes wrong. imo buy a really nice, worked R32/33 or S13/14 that's good value for the money, or just go buy a clean, stock R34 GTT/S15 and go from there.
  8. Evo > STi. Could just go for a TT Supra. Stupid amounts of power to be easily obtained!
  9. Hey Bec, Can I take a room for two please? Unsure who I'll be coming up with but you I wouldn't miss a DECA and I'll have at least on victim with me. Cheers.
  10. Get an RX-7 or an Evo for practically + fun.
  11. Hey guys, Recently my car has started idling unhappily. When fully warmed up it will roam from about 1,100rpm down to 800rpm, back and fourth constantly. The car obviously doesn't like this as the car vibrates quite a bit when it hits a certain frequency. Didn't really phase me too much until today it nearly stalled doing it. Dropped down, sputtered, before roaring back to life. Car has been serviced regularly, but I recently had to get the throttle position sensor replaced as the car wasn't making its full power. Before working out it was the TPS my mechanic looked at several things including the O2 sensor so I'm wondering if this could be causing the rev changes. I've reset the ECU and that didn't help. Appreciate any help, cheers. P.S. I drive a '95 non turbo Supra.
  12. Part: Full exhaust - extractors, 2.5" manrel bent system with high flow cat. Why: Wanted moar powah. Result: Waste of money. The gain is there, but its hardly noticeable. Wish I'd saved my money for a turbo. Part: 2-way TRD LSD Why: Open diff blows, makes the car highly unpredictable and difficult to learn in. Result: Best thing I've ever done. Car is infinitely more fun to drive and I've learned a lot about car control.
  13. You're right the VRX does have slightly more power, but the Ralliart is still slower, according to ultra reliable source that Wikipedia is. They claim the whilst it handled infinitely better the added weight of the AWD system slowed it down despite the additional power.
  14. I dunno how anyone could buy that car, and choose not to drive it. Now I could understand, kinda, but the original owner? Brand spanking new Nur out of the factory. Must've had a lot of money and a spare GTR to flog.
  15. Too many variables. Were both auto, modded, did they both launch, were they good launches, good shifts, good/bad tyres, did the Supra single peg, blah blah. I've witnessed this exact line up too and the Supra shat all over the Magna. They're both very similar in speed (slow) and it really comes down to mods/driver skill. For the record, Ralliart Magna's are slower than the "normal" ones, and VRX is pretty much a luxury version with no performance upgrades.
  16. Racepace website is pretty awesome. Thanks sponsors!
  17. Nice video but I agree with the others, needed more action! Not saying anything illegal, but you need to get it down to the next DECA.
  18. I should buy a bombodore daily. <$3000 for a reliable comfortable car that can tow!
  19. That's fine. What annoys me is that every single P plate Magna I come across tries to race me. As if they have to prove their car is the fastest P plate legal car and the Supra is a challenge.
  20. Ditto for the Supra. Pretty sure it will only get to ~90km in second. I wasn't really being serious, I was trolling. IMO, I like Magnas as much as I like Falcodores. They're great for what they're designed to do, but anyone who acts like their some sort of performance machine should be shot. Not saying NA Supras are anything special, every car in this thread is woefully slow, but I'd still argue Supras are the best value P plate legal car you can buy. Dunno. Perfect launch and shifts I'd hope it would be under 6.5seconds, as it has decent tyres, LSD, and a full exhaust, but then again it is a 17 year old engine.
  21. '93 stock NA Supra will do 0-100 anywhere between 6.2 (independently tested) and 6.7secs (factory claimed) according to various sources.
  22. Add me too. I'm JZA80 and am online quite regularly. My PSR is f**ked because I muck around with new builds and practice heroes there, but my MMR averages in the low 1700.
  23. Maybe make WTB a member only section?
