I swear DECA just keeps getting better and better. Massive thanks to all the organisers, helpers, those that gave me rides and advice. Big thanks to... was it Wayne? (I'm terrible with names) the guy who stood out in the sun all day on the skidpan. Layouts were awesome this time too. I swear that last battle layout was designed for my car as my gears would rev out just as I reached each cone. My appologies for the E95 shots, I'm unsure if all these thanks are genuine or sarcastic. What amazed me more than the 33 (+15 ordered 5min later) vodka drinks was how fast they vanished! One moment we have a table full, 10minutes later they're all gone.

So Fast Five (the fifth Fast and the Furious movie) comes out late next month, and I was thinking it would be fun (and kinda corny) if we had an SAU import meet to go see it together. If there's enough interest we could even call the cinemas and try and organise a SAU discount for the night, particularly if it was on a quiet night like a Tuesday. I got the idea from the last time I went to the drive in cinema there were a mass of old school muscles cars. They had all the prime parks and were out and about talking so I assume they'd been there a while. I think Lunar drive in best because of its location in Dandenong, the other option is Coburg but it seems a little far out for anyone but those in the northern suburbs. Has anyone been there? I've only been to the Dromana ones. Anyone interested?

I know what you mean, but they were apparently doing 120+ in a 60 zone. Sometimes I just glance, see enough distance (it they were doing the limit) and pull out. I wouldn't have noticed the higher speed.

True. I know I've said this a lot, but my NA Supra and the Monaro have the same 0-100kph time of 6.7sec. Everyone knows the Monaro is far more powerful and faster, but their gears are ridiculous. Apparently if you're doing 100kph in one and put it in sixth gear it nearly stalls.

Do you need mesh over the nose of your car or is that just over reacting?

We've been trying to teach him ever since he got his car that its not a performance monster, and that he should move onto imports for his own good. He's also aware that he's turning up to a SAU event in a Ford and fully expects to cop it. Like I said though, he's a good kid and flips out over any nice car, Ford or not. So he's going to have a blast.

Why can't you? DECA Saturday, then spend the night in Shepp/Benella and drift the next day. Sounds like an awesome weekend. Also guys, my mate Jett is coming. It all comes down to individual set up. My 2J sounds nothing like any other I've heard. Then again mine is NA with custom extractors.
