  1. Brad and Josh have decided not to come so they won't be able to assist. However I've dragged another mate Jett down and he will be able to assist somewhere in the morning. He's a 18yo hoon so he'll like it up close to the action.
  2. Missed it last year, won't miss it this year!
  3. Evo X goes from 0-100 in 5.8seconds? Surely that's an error. I thought they were way quicker.
  4. Find out what similar GTRs (with your mods) are selling for, then minus the cost of buying and replacing the engine and then minus another couple of grand because of the additional headache you're going to cause the new owner as they'll have to deal with the engine hassle. What you're left with is probably a reasonable price.
  5. I love M3s. Would definitely take over an R34, but the R35? Come on. It's the supercar killer. Still a nice car though.
  6. http://www.imaginati...m&from_name=kez Couple more ideas cause I'm bored home alone. http://www.imaginationcubed.com/loader.php?aDrawingID=b4be51954750fc53ddf6000d80706b25&from_email=robinson.kez%40gmail.com&from_name=kez And another.
  7. My hopes with the first one was people would drive in at a decent speed and attempt a controlled spin sort of like this: If not comfortable with that they can turn anyway they please so long as they do a 360 degree turn (in either direction) within the circle of cones.
  8. This thread needs DECA layout designs! http://www.imaginationcubed.com/loader.php?aDrawingID=56234b2633e6940be1c57fbbd9a3b891&from_email=robinson.kez%40gmail.com&from_name=Kez Ignore the horrible drawing skills and scale is off, but the "circle" of cones would be much bigger and the aim is to do a 360 turn inside it before coming out. You can just do a big slow winding circle, a three point turn, hand break it or try and do a high speed 360 degree spin. Plus much drifting around the outside. http://www.imaginationcubed.com/loader.php?aDrawingID=623cd3024e9516f634c45d20976f8009&from_email=robinson.kez%40gmail.com&from_name=Kez Same for this second layout but its a 180 turn instead of a 360.
  9. I'm willing to have a crack at it if not one else wants to, but I'm hesitant because the club is largely dependant on how successful the manager is. I have no experience with anything remotely like what the position is asking, so I wouldn't even know where to start. I want to help, but I'm unsure if I'm best suited to the position.
  10. Maybe next year I'll apply for the sponsorship position, I'm starting my second year in marketing so by then I might actually know something. How much experience is required?
  11. Varex are bloody awesome. Good quality and they do an excellent job at quietening the car.
  12. lol I don't remember exact specifics, but we had like a 1-2 hour conversation at Taco's about why the R32 GTR is the best car in the world. You had me so convinced that I was looking at buying one when I get off my P's in 12months despite them (and their maintenance) being waaay out of my price range.
  13. Aren't CAs 1.8L too?
  14. You're coming back down? Bringing the GTR I hope this time. I haven't forgotten your drunken promise to take me for a spin!
  15. Both rwd ~300rwkillerwasps. Should be good!
  16. What gets me though are these guys that if you offered them any non-super car (say anything under $150k) they'd STILL go a Falcodore of some sort, and what's what I was getting at in my original post.
  17. Please post a video of this thing!
  18. This thread needs to get back on track...
  19. I assume you'd have to ask for permission to goto the non-spectator areas for shots, but I doubt it'd be a problem. This video is pretty good for giving you an idea what it looks like there:
  20. Swap for my Supra? I'll throw in a couple of extra doors.
  21. Do want. Why you selling anyway? Didn't you just get this?
  22. lol I wish. Maybe when I have a car with significantly more power to fry them efficiently, and the skill to put on a proper show.
  23. Second hand, I can understand kind of. If what you really want is a late model car then their bang for your buck they cannot be surpassed, but the problem is they're still depreciating like crazy. Compare it to an Evo for example. 35k will net you a nice Evo 8 MR. 2003-5 model. Still relatively new, large enough to accommodate a family and blistering performance. 0-100 in 4 seconds flat, and lets ignore the fact its handling and braking ability. Sure its a little older, maybe a few more k's, but in 5 years it'll be worth nearly double what the Commodore will be. I can understand country boys liking them for the simple fact they rack up ridiculous k's driving around on their 110kph roads all the time, but I Iive in the burbs surrounded by constant peak hour traffic jams and see them everywhere (on the Peninsula Skylines are actually somewhat rare).
  24. Can someone please explain to me why the majority of Australian car enthusiasts love the Falcodore? I can see their value, so far as a cheap, reliable, local and easy maintained daily driver, but for anything else I can numerous other cars that do it better. They perform terribly compared to other cars on the market, and whilst the upper models are somewhat luxurious, I would not call them prestigious. They're hardly unique, which is what many enthusiasts desire. Quite the opposite, most people who don't care for cars couldn't tell you the difference between a high model and a base model. Can someone please enlighten me? Cheers.
  25. Fair enough, thanks for the warning. I always assumed the problems came from unburnt fuel passing through a white hot turbo and potentially detonating in there. Meaning my NA would be relatively safe from that sort of problem. Shame though, would've been a lot of fun.
