  1. At the end of the day its an R33 GTST, and no matter how nice it is, or how much power it puts out people still won't get past that fact. For slightly more than what you're asking you could get an R34 GTR. Plus it's not all that recent a rebuild. I'm no expert, but I'd be really, really wary of an engine that has done nearly 30,000kms under that kind stress with an owner who no doubt gives it a thrashing from time to time. It's a lot of money for a car which may or may not have problems in the near future. I'm not trying to dishearten you, and I could be entirely wrong, but this is just what runs through my head when I read that ad.

    No Shame...

My uncle told me how he went to a shopping centre once where a guy hit another car. The guy got out, looked at the damaged, saw half a dozen people watching so he wrote a note, left it on the car other car and drove off. My uncle went over and looked at the note as the guy looked dodgy as f**k, sure enough it was blank. He then wrote another note saying exactly what happened, including the guy leaving a blank note.
  3. This video here is my old car, and a video I filmed and uploaded personally. Who knew it would hit 170,000 views. I doubt the valve would cause much of a restriction unless you were already pushing the limits with your exhaust diameter. As for the noise, I reckon the sound fine. I've had a ton of complements on my Supra's exhaust note and it has a Varex. IMO its everything before the muffler that gives an exhaust a nice note or not, depending on your turbo/extractors, mid mufflers, cat, resonator, pipe size, material etc. You can also get different muffler shapes and tips too, next time I think I'll just get the twin tip for an even more stealth appearance. I know I sound like a bloody Varex salesmen, but to be honest they really are that good. Well worth the money and the main reason it was the first mod I bought for my Supra.
  4. I had one on my old R33, the difference was amazing. From a headache inducing drone to quieter than my friend's Excel. The benefit is not that it will pass an EPA, its that whenever you see cops, get pulled over, or simply don't want to annoy the neighbours you can mute it instantly from a button on your keyring. It prevents you getting EPAs in the first place, rather than assist you in passing them. I was so impressed with it I bought another for the Supra, but never wired it up as my current exhaust set up isn't that loud in the low revs.
  5. It was the noises that got me. They're not related to any particular creature, but when you're tunnelling through darkness and the computer starts wailing/screaming at you it does freak you out. Online is much more fun, I play with a mate and just build stupid shit. I had an awesome house which he accidentally blew up trying to set a tnt trap for me the next time I logged on. It's literally a massive crater now. I wish my gf would play, but she hates computer games almost as much as she hates cars.
  6. I'll ask Brad. He never wants to but I'll guilt trip him into doing it.
  7. You just have to play it to understand. Like any game you get used to it pretty quick, but tunnelling through darkness knowing bad shit is going to jump out at you at any second is "creepy". This new world was "creepier" because it had new and nasty things, so not only did you not know when bad guys would jump out, but also you had no idea what they would be.
  8. Wish I did, the guy lived an hour and a half away and I didn't think to take photos at the time.
  9. Hey guys, On the weekend my mate and I looked at an Evo 7 with a claimed ~55,000km on the dash. The car had papers stating it was imported in August (auction sheet) and full log books of all services back in Japan. They all seemed legit, however they were in Japanese. The car however looked like it had done 150,000km. Poor paint condition, brake paint had almost entirely faded, and interior looked worn. The gear knob was more heavily worn than my '95 Supra. The engine was also making a stranging clicking noise when the car revved, it was noticable only in the cabin. Outside the car, or even sticking your head in the engine bay you couldn't hear it. It was rather dissapointing, as the car was dead stock, low ks and with logbooks to back it up. Is it possible the books were forged, or are some owners just really sloppy in looking after their car? Is it worth getting this car checked out by a mechanic? Everything about it screamed warning signs, but the fact it had all the books is so rare and IMO very important. For the record the auction sheet said it was a 4.5 B. Thanks.
  10. This game just got creepier. Skip to the 6min mark.

  12. If you want hard try to kill those Giant radscopions and Mother Deathclaws near the starting town. The deathclaws one shot me at like level 14.
  13. Ignore this post.
  14. My car has been having electrical issues for months now, various things from half the AC buttons not work, to more recently the headunit playing up. I also have a Bee*R Rev limiter I want installed before the next DECA, which after some research seems to be more difficult to install than I thought, the fact the instructions are entirely in Japanese doesn't help either. I attempted to fix the headunit myself today, but just got overwhelmed by the masses of wires, and didn't even know where to begin looking for the problem. Plus it was too hot to work on the car Any recommendations for the south/south eastern suburbs? Cheers.
  15. Why not take the Skyline? Just because it doesn't have massive power doesn't mean you can't race it, especially on a more technical track like Winton. Head up there, learn the lines, the braking points, feel how your car handles, etc.
  16. Really? Which car were you in? Where'd you go anyway, all the other learners left at around 2-3pm and I had the entire beginner section to myself. It was great I tried everything from trying different speeds and entries, did donuts, practiced controlled fishtails I learnt more in an hour of being stupid on my own than all my other runs. Only time I stopped was to give the car a chance to cool down. I'd have kept going except for the fact my wheels started to disintergrate. I think stock Supra rims need some sort of washer as the metal around the studs began to deform.
  17. I just went drifting at Winton and my 16 225 tyres at 36 psi had no problem breaking traction in my non turbo Supra. I didn't even need to clutch kick or handbrake, I could just mash the throttle around a corner and it would kick out.
  18. I ended up driving up and back on the day. It honestly wasn't as bad as I thought, but I'm not going to make a habit of it.
  19. This: http://www.prewarcar.com/index.php?option=...&Itemid=100 Supercharged 1L V12. Or what VB said, the 20B
  20. lol I wouldn't call myself a drifter, this is my first attempt. Hopefully I learn something though, may result in a much more exciting (if admittedly slower) DECA.
  21. I like the first skidpan layout! Looks like a lot of sideway action. The battles look like they'd favour high powered cars, get your handbrake turn right then put the power down.
  22. Hey guys, I'm heading up to Winton this Sunday for a VicDrift practiced day, I had originally planned to drive up there in the morning and drive back in the afternoon, but I'm unsure how tired I'll be. I was considering spending the Saturday night up there if accomodation were cheap enough. Can anyone recommend some cheap places that one person can stay? I've been googling but most places don't have prices, I plan on calling a few places tomorrow, but any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers.
  23. Ditto.
  24. Heh, by power I meant something with a little go. A 1.1L Daihatsu whilst light and nimble will be useless with its 20seconds 0-100kph acceleration.
