    Start Button

lol I like this. Imagine all the corny lines you could use to start your car. For some reason I can only think of Arny quotes too.
  2. Nah, he's coming up with me. Edit: The hotel knows this too.
  3. Hey Bec, I've got a funeral on Friday afternoon, then a family dinner that night. So I won't be able to make it Friday night. I've already rung the hotel and sorted it out with them, just thought I should let you know. Thanks, Kieran.
  4. KU36's seem to be all the rage at DECA.
  5. Let me just say this, when I'm your age (going by your FB profile) I'll STILL be on my P's. So I don't know about that mindset lol.
  6. I'm not that young, I just look young
  7. Yeah well I bought this car so I could learn how to drive it, so that once I'm off my P's I can step into a more powerful car and not kill myself/make better use of its power. I couldn't really learn much about car control or behavior with an open diff. Just need to get some better brake pads and she should be circuit ready too.
  8. 2-way TRD LSD. Got it from MVP motorsports in the US. Was $1,100 (USD), plus I had to get a $200 conversion kit to make it fit the NA diff housing. Edit: Sorry, it's less than $1000 USD, but $1,100 AUD. http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/fr...&SearchYN=N
  9. Nice layout to break in the new LSD. I predict much spinning out on my part.
  10. Stock brand new NA manual Supra did 6.7 seconds from factory.
  11. I can vouch for DKNE quality. As for gains however, not worth it IMO. If I could go back in time I'd spend my money elsewhere. The gains are barely noticeable.
  12. Uh, that's an FTO with a bodykit, rims and tinted windows. I still think it looks worse though. I also looked at several sites, here's one: http://www.importforums.com/carsinfo.htm NA Supra is more than a second quicker to 100kph and down the 1/4mile than the FTO GPX.
  13. I understand most of this is your opinion, and not fact, but I feel the need to defend the humble NA Supra anyway. Cowboy- the Supra's really need the turbo to do anything special. Not true. They're never going to be the best at anything, but they have more than enough power to learn how to drive a FR on the track, drift, drag, whatever. I'll explain my choice: * Love the stylish curves of the FTO * Technologically advanced for it's day * handles like it's on rails - Supra's handle really well too, in fact, stock for stock an RZ Supra will beat an R33 GTR around the track. *Amazing turning circle *All auto's were brought out as a tiptronic from 1994 (the first production year of the FTO) - Still auto *Driver orientated cabin - Dunno why you don't like the Supra if you like this feature. It's arguably THE most driver orientated cabin of any Jap import. *Large comfy bolsted seats, so it holds you in around corners *lots of hidden comparments/ cheeky little extras (as most Jap cars do) *MIVEC engine so it really makes use of every single drop of power - How? You mean the fact you have to wring its neck to get power out of it? Supra has some decent torque down low. *(fto)2lt 150kw NA Engine in a 1170kg car with a short wheelbase and an option for a semi auto in 1994!!! as opposed to a 3lt 168kw larger car that weighs 1480kg and looks more dated - Again your opinion, but I think most of the world would agree the Supra looks 10x better than the FTO SUPRA's *Dislike the crazy cockpit style of the cabin (I never wanted to be a pilot) *Not a big fan of the dated looking dash/instrument cluster - I'll agree with this *Na version is a slug - It is significantly quicker than the FTO. My Supra puts out 150rwkw with minimal mods. Which is enough to beat stock GTSTs and Silvias *dislike the odd bubble shape of the rear window - No idea what you're talking about here, I just looked at a couple of pictures and the FTO and Supra have very similar rear windows. *It's a true 2+2 with a totally unusable centre seat I'd actually call it a 2+1, I won't let anyone sit behind me.
  14. Just send the forms in, I don't think you have to pay till you're in so you've got nothing to lose. Heaps of people pull out in the week or so beforehand so you'll probably still get in. If not, you can ride in my car and still head out to Tacos with us.

  16. lol, I pity poor Bec when it comes time to organise people into groups. Edit: Damn that was a quick catch by the mods.
  17. You can borrow mine.
  18. Exactly. Take me for example, I'm 25 and lost my licence nearly 2 years ago. Why would I care if they put me on reds (short of having to wait an extra year) and stopped me from carrying more than one <21yo in my car? None of my mates are under 21, at least none that I hang out with on a regular basis.
  19. They're still on their greens. And stopping 21+ year olds from driving with more than one under 21yo seems a bit silly.
  20. Last year around this time the gf organised NYE to be up in Sydney with a bunch of mates. Like 10 of us booked out a couple of large hotel rooms, one with a huge balcony overlooking the harbour bridge. It was pretty good, nice view, and very central. Worked out pretty cheap when divided by so many people, and because we booked so far in advance, drank mostly in our rooms before heading out and didn't have to catch a cab anywhere. Although getting lost on NYEs and ending up at King Cross at 4am was a bit scary. Dunno what was scarier, all the scummers around or the 30ish cops decked out in riot gear lol. We stayed a couple of nights too, so there was lots of drinking involved, some sight seeing and shopping for the girls. Highly recommend it.

What the hell? All you guys own R34 GTRs AND nerf guns? Coincidence? Tempted to go buy one now... P.S. We should all go do some drive by shootings one night.
  22. The emphasis on the age and gender. It's surely going to attract a lot of attention. Welcome anyway.
  23. 9775 0597 Js Japanese Auto Importers 37 Frankston Gardens Drive, Carrum Downs, VIC 3201 The place looks dodgy, but the guy there is a top bloke and knows imports inside and out. Unsure on his experience with Magna's, but at the end of the day a car's a car.
  24. You'll only get trouble if you're on your P's in a turbo Skyline. From the outside its very hard to tell if a car is NA or turbo (GTRs excluded), cops just pull over Skylines in general. Buy the GT-T, P platers have pushed NA prices right up and the turbo costs little more for a much, much better car. I promise you'll regret buying an NA, unless you're on your P's. In which can you'll probably regret getting the turbo.
  25. Get Stateroads to do it, or call John at JS Imports in Carrum Downs.
