I'd appreciate them too, but lest face it. The vast majority of potential buyers (young guys) are going to want to brag about how fast it goes in straight line, rather than how fast they can take it around a track.

Find the cheapest pair of stockies around with RWC tread on them and use those. Very few P platers are going appreciate decent handling mods, but the engine mods might.

Mods don't get you much. If I see a car with your mods I think its done track work and probably had the guts flogged out of it. Part it out as best you can and then sell it for what you can.

Don't worry, I'm not concerned about winning or doing well. I'm going up to learn the car, makes some friends and have fun. I just find it interesting how people evaluate different layouts.

So, any experts care to give their opinion on the skidpan layouts? All I know is it looks like a lot of sliding and fun! Last time I was there (in August) the Evo drivers were complaining that it was more suited to a RWD car, what's this set up for? Also, that's my car in the footnote of the last page!

I'd offer you a lift but that'd just encourage you NOT to enter. If you're desperate though you can sit in the backseat of the Supra (already bringing a mate), mind you they're twice as bad than Skylines for leg room.

Do some reading and research on what Tommy K is and does and then decide. No point buying something rare simply because it is rare, not appreciating what it truly is. I'd personally love a Tommy K Skyline, I love all the subtle touches they add.

I disagree with the Supra comment. For a car released in '93 they're bloody good looking, even compared to modern day standards. Hell, even some new cars have the same shape and styling. Tell me this doesn't look similar to a Supra, which was made 17 years ago.

I guess it all comes down to personal preference. I paid ~$1500 all up for my exhaust system. The extractors were $440, with $250 HPC plus another ~$250 for postage and labour. The other $500 went into the high flow cat and cannon. When I did it I thought "great, an extra 20rwkw (plus the low end power) on my NA Supra is just what I need", spent all the money and was... unimpressed. I don't want people to make the same mistake. It's definitely there, and you can feel it, but its nothing amazing.

I'm not denying that. I'm simply stating that is even 10kw on your Pulsar worth ~$1000? I know if I could go back in time and do it all over again I'd just save my money, and that's all I'm trying to point out.
