  1. Does anyone have back to back dyno results for extractors on a Skyline? I know on the Supra forums a full exhaust (not just extractors) bumps power up from about 120-130rwkw to 140-150rwkw.
  2. Sure, it's apples and oranges, but they're still both fruit. Putting extractors on the Supra does the exact same thing. Grants you around... 5rwkw top end and grants much more power down low. All I'm saying is the gains from extractors are minimal, and on an NA your money can be put to much better use. Whether it be suspension, decent lightweight wheels, tyres, cosmetic or just putting it away for your next car.
  3. Dude, I promise you the 2JZ-GE will gain far more power from a full exhaust system than an RB25DE. I did the works: HPC DKNE extractors, 2.5" mandrel bent custom system and high flow cat, and the gains were simply not worth the price. So why would spending the same amount of money for the same mods be any better value on a Skyline?
  4. NA R32's are very rare, hence the hefty price tag. You could buy a GTST and dump and NA engine in it (preferably an RB25!) but it would still be recorded as a GTST and therefore cop bait. At least its that way in Victoria.
  5. Athid rolled my guards last night. Awesome job.
  6. Why not? I'll admit they're not the best looking of the three generations, but they're not ugly. Just get one, they're an awesome car and you'll learn to love it
  7. Purely out of curiousity, why did you join SAU-Vic? If all you wanted to was to meet up and socialize with other car lovers there are plenty of other clubs that are free. You could've just become a forum member, not joined SAU-Vic and still enjoyed the majority of SAU meets. I am genuinely curious.
  8. You're the one missing the point. Why does SAU-Vic need to organise meets EVERY week when there are plenty of other car clubs that already do this? How many other clubs host DECA days? Organize GOR trips? Run frequent track days? Some do, yes, but most don't. SAU-Vic clearly has a different objective and goals to your typical "cruise club", and if you don't like that then either put your hand up to help or look else where for those events.
  9. http://www.viccruiseclub.com.au/viewtopic....677&start=0 That literally took me all of... 2 minutes to find. I'm sure I could find a half dozen more if I searched. The irony is you literally posted in another thread on not just that forum but that exact board today. Unless of course there's another alr33x on VCC.
  10. I'm a member on several car forums, and SAU is by FAR the most friendly, helpful and enjoyable. There are million and one meets and cruises going on every weekend, whether east, north or west. Whereas SAU organizes original and unique events, or events that require serious planning and management. As has been said earlier, if you want a meet or cruise organize it yourself, or join another club that focuses on those sort of events. Let SAU focus on the more complex and difficult events to run such as DECA, track days and other motorsports events.

    Who Got Hailed?

10cm hail Ferngully! Holy crap! http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/2010/03/06/2838507.htm
  12. I'll be nice. Talking like that won't make you many friends on this forum mate. It makes you sound like an immature kid which will more than likely live up to your nickname. Go try nissansilvia.com if u want 2 talk lyk dis.
  13. Buy an R33 GTS. I picked up my manual coupe for 7.5k about 2 years ago. I'm sure it'd be cheaper now. Never had a single problem with it.
  14. As per the title. I've got new tyres on the car that rub when I hit bumps. Just wondering how I can tell if the car has already been rolled before, and how much you can actually roll them. Thanks.
  15. Your choice mate, but if it were me and I wanted a faster NA Skyline I'd invest in some very light weight rims - to get a decent size and good looking you'll be looking at some serious cash. At least its something that I could keep when I sold my GTS and upgraded to a turbo model. Whereas an expensive exhaust will probably only devalue your car.
  16. Dude, just come to a meet, then to DECA. We're a very friendly group and you'll make friends in no time. Stay the night for DECA and I promise you you'll have about 10 new friends requests on facebook the next day, due to the half dozen embarrassing photos you were tagged in that you don't recall happening.
  17. I have to ask, if you're really new to this kind of stuff why are you spending money on it? Extractors will give sweet f**k all but an empty wallet. The gains are not worth it. I should know as I put them on my Supra.
  18. Ha, I love the word Chav. Only recently discovered who they are. Going to buy my british mate a Burberry cap for his birthday, he's gonna love it.
  19. No kidding. My girlfriend's father owns a Maserati and he says he could take the family on a holiday for the same price it costs to replace the tyres (at the Maserti dealership)!
  20. Heh, you going to drive an auto or something?

    Who Done It.

I thought it was mildly funny anyway.
  22. Just throwing it out there: WRX Evo 5 Both would be like bullets off the mark. Could also look at Aristos, Chasers, Legnums, Soarers (rare in manual) or an earlier series RX7 (obviously not so great down low). I'd personally be getting an Aristo or something similar. 2J is one torquey beast and VERY easy to get power out of. They're subtle, don't stand out and a very comfortable cruiser.
  23. Wish I could come, but I'm broke! Poorly managed my funds this month.
  24. Scout hasn't been nerfed, people just learned how to counter him. Whenever some (more often than not) noob picks Scout the whole team groans. I don't recall rampage ever being OP. Unless it was for a very short time when I wasn't playing. He's still a good hero with great early game potential and still holds his own late. I guess that's one major difference that I like and you dislike about HoN. In HoN not all heroes are balanced at all levels. HoN is all about choosing the right combo of heroes to defeat the opposing combo. I reckon much of the game is decided before the game even begins with hero choice, unless both team works together and select appropriately. Sometimes its fun to get a bunch of early game heros and storm the base hard and fast, other times its fun to hold against that onslaught till the later gamers come into their own. Some combos just have that brutal set up that can either win or lose the game. Take big AOE heroes like tempest, Magmus and Behemoth. IF they catch all the enemies at once it's pretty much GG right there, on the other hand, stuff it up and they'll wipe you out with ease and take your rax instead.
  25. I can see the detail, LoL has obviously taken a less serious pathway. Somethings are kind of cool, but for the most part I don't like it. Take Teemo's and that Yeti's voices for example, annoying as f**k. Another example are the creeps which spawn for each team seem very... static? I don't know. It's rather boring that they're basically a short, squat robe that wields a big triangle. I have to agree with Nismoid too, HoN has MUCH faster games. Especially when it comes to searching, joining and pre-game lobby waits. My average LoL game seems to go on forever because no one surrenders, I personally have no problem surrendering if for whatever reason we're getting thumped. In HoN this can be annoying (especially if you're the one doing the thumping) but it does spit out a faster rate of games. The barracks re-spawning only prolongs games too, its great for come backs, but sometimes you HAVE to take the rax early if you want any chance of winning. Another thing which you seem to have a problem with is the copying of DotA. Why is this a bad thing? DotA was around for years, and made many, many changes. The engine it ran on was ancient by today's standards and it still attracted millions of players. So why is copying it so horrible? DotA was great, I'm happy to keep playing it in a new system. I'll agree that some of the heros can be imbalanced, but HoN is in its beta stages, and they usually fix these imbalances pretty quick. The 5 solo mindset you talk of is completely dependant on what type of game you play. I reguraly played 1700+ BD games on HoN and there is a LOT of discussion on team selection and co-ordination during the game. Even with randoms. On LoL however I know no one. So I just join any game that the lobby chooses for me, and I promise you there is no semblence of team work in any of those games.
