  1. Was referring to cleaning the interior of them more than anything. Was unsure if they had some sort of special coating or something, figured I'd ask just in case. Thanks anyway.
  2. So, I got my whiteline rear sway bar put on today, along with my Kumho KU36s on the front and full suspension check/alignment. My whole suspension was apparently all over the place, with a lot of negative camber on both wheels. Anyway, since getting the car back, the car feels... good. I suspect this is the proper alignment making the a car much nice driver, however I have concerned about the sway bar. When cornering, not even when cornering hard, it feels like the rear really wants to kick out. When coming out of a round about I gave the car a little prod and I felt the rear lose traction slightly. My question is, is this normal? Will I just have to get used to this new driving style, or is the rear bar a little too stiff perhaps? I was told it would help combat the under steer in my nose heavy Supra, but I feel less comfortable cornering now that I did before. I'm quite the novice when it comes to suspension (although I am learning!), so I'd appreciate any feedback. Cheers, Kieran.

  5. You'd probably get a better response in the drivetrain and transmission forum.

What's on Australia day and the 24th of Feb? Do you mean the 24th of Jan? I really want to go to this Fun Day, but I have to work on the Sunday. Free the Tuesday though.
  7. Hey guys, I'm getting my Kumho's fitted tomorrow, but they've been sitting in my garage for a month or two and have collected a couple of spiders. I removed most of the webbing, but there's some stuck in there. Should I just hose them out and let them dry, or will this damage them somehow? Do they need to even be cleaned, or will the tyre joint clean them for me? Tyres seem pretty durable, but I figured I'd ask here before I went a head and potential ruined them. Cheers, Kieran.
  8. Broken studs can be a bitch to remove, and a catback won't fix that. It'll cost you regardless of where you go.
  9. Was coming home from work (shitty night shift I shouldn't have agreed to do) and was following this beat up old Commodore that could not stay in its own lane. It was swerving in and out and nearly ran off the road twice. Took the plates, drove home (was 1min away) and called the cops. I know it was the right thing to do, but I still feel kinda shitty about it. Plus calling the cops is always intimidating as they take YOUR details too. Anyone else do this? I've seen dangerous stuff on the road all the time, never bothered to call before. It was just that this guy (or girl) seemed absolutely wasted.
  10. Only gauge I would ever put in my car is an oil temp gauge.
  11. I got my first preference, Bachelor of Business and Commerce, Monash Uni, Peninsula campus. Woop, woop.
  12. Yep, happened on my last R33. It's only a matter of time.
  13. Couldn't agree more. I've seen people do dumb shit in all sorts of cars, just the other night some guy in a Micra went flying by me down the freeway and nearly lost it going around a slight bend. Even after they corrected themself they continued to speed off weaving erractically through traffic.
  14. Damn, I'm working that weekend. When is the next Fun Day? I'm definately looking forward to going to one.
  15. I honestly don't hear any noise difference on an NA motor. Unless the hood is open and I'm sticking my head in to a get good look, I can't hear it. On a turbo set up, it's pretty obvious.
  16. I dunno, maybe it's covered up so that we can't see it properly, but I'm not liking the shit along the door.
  17. S14 = Newer and less popular than the S13 You'll pay out the ass for a '97 Type X, or get a similar condition '98 model S14 for your budget.
  18. Would you agree that if you want a "fast street NA" you'd be better off dropping your unsprung mass and upgrading your tyres rather than chasing pitiful NA power mods? P plater Falcodores pull up beside me all the time with 4 people in their car, monster subs rumbling in the boot AND 20" solid chromies and rev their engine at me. Do they assume that all Commodore/Falcons are automatic drag cars? I'd love to see a little pulsar with a lightened flywheel, 6kg rims, all unneccesary weight removed and grippy tyres take off one day. I reckon it'd put quite a few cars to shame.
  19. Just curious, but what is so special about this joint? Is it really good food? I'm intrigued.
  20. Thanks for the info mate. I actually wrote out a rather long and indepth reply then got some error when I tried to post it and lost it. I was mainly asking if different materials have an effect, like titanium, and what kind of effect. Also, what would recommend for me. I want to keep my racey, high-pitched note, or even improve it. Cheers.
  21. I nearly had an incident! Coming around that big sweeper and as I'm half way I think to myself "I'm going too fast", so I put my foot lightly on the brakes and nearly lost control of the car! I let go of the brakes, eased off the throttle and clung to the wheel for dear life as I swung around the rest. It's little things like that I don't know, it was a valuable and scary lesson. That's why when I head out there I want to do it properly.
  22. I remember opening the mag up and thinking "Didn't we battle that car at Deca?". Very nice car though.
  23. See the sticky at the top of the forum to performance mods.
