  1. Find one with a blown motor. 2J conversion
  2. But what an advantage is it! This is what I'm trying to point out. I don't care what sort of displacement it has vs. a piston engine, just the sheer power to weight (engine weight) or power to size ratio. Imagine if they just kept adding rotors till the engine was the same weight as an LS9, I have no idea how long or feasible this would be, but why not? Picture a 10 (I don't know the terminology for 10) rotor engine. If a Quad is 20B, this thing can be a 90C. Surely they could fit this into a two seater rear mount sports car, or a long nosed beast like a Dodge Viper. Wouldn't that thing be truly scary on the road, despite being a heavier car? Edit: What if they expanded the diameter of the rotors too? I still think the engine theory has a ton of potential that most likely technology hasn't caught up with.
  3. What's so special about it?
  4. Who here when they first found out exactly how a rotary worked did not think to themselves: f**k. That's clever. I took a look under the hood of my mate's S1 RX7 the other day and realized for the first time just how small they are too! I knew they were small, but this thing took up less than half the engine bay. It was all intercooler (V mount) and body kit up front. Yet this thing still makes over 250rwkw with minor modifications and a conservative boost. So, reliability and fuel efficiency aside, why aren't there more rotor engines? I understand the yanks love their big engines, but I'm sure they'll jump on board with a BIG (6-8?) rotor NA engine. I don't know anything about the engines beyond the most basic explanation, but surely if they can make the little 1.3L tri-rotor fit in half the hood of a tiny RX7, surely a Mustang with an engine bay twice the size could house an engine 2-3x as long. What about AWD. Why hasn't Mazda created a crazy lightweight AWD rotor to compete with the GTR, Evo and STi? Is it just... a lack of popularity? Technology? What's holding the ol' Wankel engine from really competing?
  5. Awesome. Cheers mate.
  6. If it's Halloween themed get a cereal box, empty it out and stick a plastic knife in it. Then string it around your neck and go as a cereal killer. I made this in literally 2 minutes before leaving for a party a few years back and came runner up for best dressed.
  7. lol, I like your analogy. Going by that theory, my missus (as a Supra) is sexy, has a big ass, is very willful and can be difficult to control. Pretty accurate when I think about it.

    Retrimming

Ebay is your friend. Always retrimmers on there.
  9. Get the rotary. They're sexy on wheels, something different and still RWD which it looks like you're used to.
  10. Hey guys, Just wondering besides Driver Dynamics (who appear to be booked out until next year), what other sorts of advanced driving courses are available in Victoria? I'm mainly looking for track, and skidpan lessons, but will consider anything as I next to no experience on the track. Cheers, Kieran.
  11. Supra is 121kW per tonne. I just calculated it then on vicroads.
  12. This was advertised on the Supraforums. http://www.ozzycarsales.com.au/wheels/index.htm It just a website where people can sell their 2nd hand wheels, it's new so there aren't many up yet, but I'll definitely keep it in mind.
  13. I know what you mean. That night we were there JD my friend had her car (and about 4 others nearby) broken into. They just smashed a window grabbed what they could and fled. Was parked in a backstreet just off Chapel.
  14. Put your money towards a dictionary.
  15. At $1600 I reckon you throw that guy with the LMGT4's an offer. At that price its not *that* much more for arguably the best rims an S13 can buy. Re-sale value would be pretty good too.
  16. What about an S13 with the whole NA RB25/30 build? Would be a little whippet. Some other options: Rotaries. Other old school Corollas. JZA70 Supra.
  17. Buy these! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...t4-t267580.html This thread might help too. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ri...-a-t276254.html
  18. I got 31st! At first I thought it wasn't anything spectacular, but after reading all your posts I'm feeling much better about it. I've never done anything like this before (not even on the streets), and was driving a stock, heavy NA, so I'm quite happy. Okay, I'm done tooting my horn.
  19. My Supra gets around 500-550km per tank, which is quite a bit better than my NA R33 Skyline (400-450). Probably due to it having a bigger tank though, I don't actually know their sizes. Edit: Supra: 70L - Skyline: 65L.
  20. How many k's on the engine? I have a mate who may be interested.
  21. The rear strut was recommended (no front) to help with the under steer as the Supra is very front heavy. Just going off other people's advice.
  22. Serious? I just assumed tires would be relatively cheap. For that price I'd get some nice coil overs instead. Then again, I really don't know much about cars and suspension I'd probably be wasting my money there too.
  23. I'm already yearning for November to come around, I can't believe how much fun it was. Any advice for what I should do in the next three months to get my yellow boat around the track a bit faster? I'm on a budget so bang for buck value is good. Personally I'm thinking at least one day with Driver Dynamics, a rear strut and maybe some semi slicks (will they help much?).
  24. I'm happy with that. Not any awesome results, but nothing terrible either. Definately bring on next Nov. I was let down by my Mini and Long Wang times. I was a bit nervous about pushing the car on such high speed tracks, but the next time I think I'll give it a bit more stick. Still can't believe a stock 110awkw auto Evo driven by someone who has never done anything like this before managed to pull such awesome scores. Now I see why people call Evo's cheats.
