Saw ADIS literally park right out the front of the Jam Factory today just as I was walking out. Then parked two cars behind I saw OMGTR. Pretty cool plates.
  2. Quick question. My mate is competing in DECA with us, but isn't a member of SAU VIC. I thought he was a member of the EvoOz forums and could get his CAMs through that, but apparently not. Can he get his SAU VIC membership on the day with his CAMs license, or should I deposit the money ASAP and hope it gets proceesed in time? Thanks.
  3. You guys make me feel better. I dunno where an NA 2J stands in regards to an CA-T, but stock for stock they must be similar. I think I have the advantage over the SR though! At least you guys have witnessed DECA before. I've never done anything like this on the street, let alone the track. My driving expertise is non existent.
  4. EDIT - Double post sry.
  5. As if. What are you driving?
  6. Yeah, I've heard horror stories. How do you get the bolts out then? Weld stuff to them and use that?
  7. Me too! The biggest modification I've ever done was replace the old, dirty air pod that came with the car. Now I've gone all out and bought extractors, and hfc, but I don't I don't think I'll be able to pay for the installation before DECA! We'll see. Would be nice to remove the stock exhaust though.
  8. See I don't even know how torque would be an advantage let alone how to make the most of it! But if you really want I'd be up for a battle.
  9. Cool thanks. Just throwing it out there, but I'm a very inexperienced driver in a NON turbo Supra. So if anyone equally inexperienced and/or driving a less powerful car is looking for an even match up in the knockout round just give me a shout! I just don't want to pull up against a skilled driver in a GTR
  10. So how are the battles competitors decided? Do we decide on the day, or are they organised beforehand? Do we have get to decide, or is it all arranged? Do we battle the same person all afternoon, or does it differ per run, or just per layout? Also, what's the knockout round? Sorry for all the questions, just curious and excited!
  11. Thanks! I had no idea you were organising it all. Really appreciate it. Kieran.
  12. Hey Bec, Does this mean you've already organised rooms for everyone on the list? We just need to turn up on the day and pay when we arrive? Thanks, Kieran.
  13. If you trust Mr. Navman you can follow me.
  14. Woop! That first battle layout looks like its gonna be messy. What do you reckon my chances are? Me in an NA Supra vs. my mate in his Evo 7. I'm guessing I spin out trying to keep up
  15. Something light with a medium sized turbo (in relation to the engine capacity) would be the best bet for what I'm looking for in a daily driver?. So that if I want sudden, massive acceleration (whilst already moving) all I have to do is drop a gear or two, hit boost and wrestle the road for traction? Any light RWD turbo car can achieve this with the right set up, tune and tyres. Whether it be a Silvia, Skyline, Supra or whatever? To answer my own question: the highest G's would be achieved by a worked sti, or Evo launching hard, or a lightweight car with a monster turbo (like a T88 on a Supra) finally coming onto boost, but for the most responsive hard acceleration you simply want big engine capacity, ie V8s. Did I get that all right? Thanks guys.
  16. I'm not referring to just launches (although this is probably where most G's are felt). What I mean is if I've accelerated slowly off the lights up to 20-60kph then decide to stomp it which car has the most rapid acceleration at that point. Yeah, I mean street legal. Thanks for the response.
  17. Which car at any one moment can produce the most seat sticking G force at one moment? And I mean backward sucking force, not sideways. For daily driving, this what I enjoy most. A good, strong, sudden squirt. Rather than the potential to travel at high speeds, a quick 0-100 or handling. I've heard S13s are quite good at this due to their power to weight ratio and their more "aggressive" boost, whereas a Skyline tends to have a more spread power curve. Is this true? What other cars are good at this? Evos, WRXs? Just curious more than anything, but definitely something I'll consider when off my P's. Thanks.
  18. Buy a Supra. Seriously. Not as practical, but still quite a comfortable car and can easily make ridiculous amounts of power. Also, Evo 7s are within your price range, and they have a much better interior, and modern look than their predecessors.
  19. Unless you're getting a car with a monster sound system, body kit and custom respray you should not be paying that much for an R34 GT. Look elsewhere, find a nice clean GT for the ~$15,000 mark and enjoy.
  20. Meh, at the end of they day they're both slow cars. However the Commodore is a heavy sedan designed to haul heavy loads. It's not a race car. Neither is an NA Skyline, but at least it has the potential to handle like one. Just think what you want the car for. Looks, to show off? Skyline (well, purely opinion, but Commodores are EVERYWHERE, and they don't impress the ignorant). Practicality? Commodore. Track work? Skyline. Straight line speed? Supra . Kidding. Although they are quick for an NA!
  21. I'm gonna echo what everyone else said. You're an idiot.
  22. Why The f**k Are You Talking Like That? Its f**king Annoying.
  23. To the ignorant it sounds like a really wimpy/silly sound to come out of what looks like a tough car.
  24. lol. As much as I love the Supra he simply did not fit in mine. I'm 6' exactly and I have quite a bit of head room so I thought he'd be fine, but no such luck. 6'7" really is just huge.
