  1. Where are you located?
  2. I sold my s1 R33 GTS manual coupe with 114k's for $7500. It was in excellent condition, came with rims, exhaust, stereo, alarm and had a factory sunroof. I know it was worth more, but like many I can't be f**ked with a long sale, so I knocked it down and sold it quick. Just saying they do exist, you've just got to keep your eyes open.
  3. Paul Walker needs one of those 500+ awkw R34 GTR's. He'd appreciate that sort of power and probably enjoy the ride. Vin Diesel just needs a really tough looking muscle car.
  4. Are you in Victoria? I think I know the one you're looking at. My mate and I took a look at that over a year and a half ago, and it was pretty bad. Claimed it had done really low ks but it was just falling apart; seats ripped, pedals worn, gear boot near missing and many other little things. Just gave me a really bad feeling. Just a warning.
  5. Buy the GTS4, kit it, respray it, buy some nice rims, re-do the interior and all that other cosmetic bits. Then in 3 years buy this; http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Brand-New-Nissan-NU...A1%7C240%3A1318 or drop a fully rebuild RB26/30 into it. That way you can keep your precious baby that you've worked on for years, without having to sacrifice it for something more grunt.
  6. As mentioned in another post; http://www.yournutz.com/store/images/tall%20ball.jpg
  7. To be honest, I haven't noticed a thing. Job is the same, I have no loans or debts, no rent, no phone bill, no dependancies, hell, I don't even have a car. Suppose it's a good time to be studying.
  8. Taken from ironchefimports.com; drive your new car like a granny until you can put a fresh tank of 98 octane in it. After a couple of weeks, fuel starts to drop octane, and I can guarantee that any fuel left in the car will be totally stale, so no thrashing or you may wind up with a dead motor!
  9. Heh, I didn't see this till just recently. Yeah, I'm looking for a manual Coupe, but they're so rare. I may even import my own car. I'd love a GT4 but they're rare in Japan too. Dunno, I'm going to do a lot of research this week regarding loans etc. If I can get decent loan I might import my own, otherwise I'll just keep saving till I get my license back and buy privately.
  10. I'm not claiming to be an expert on the subject, but I seriously doubt any decent sub, whether 10" or 18" could not keep up. I didn't listen to the song (not in an appropriate place to do so) but do you think humans can kick faster than an electric current could move up and down a voice coil? Sure a dodgy sub might not last, but I have trance songs that have deep, loud vibrations that literally rattle the shit out of my car and guts. I'm certain those vibrations are faster than any double kick, and the sub maintains it for several seconds with ease.
  11. I highly doubt police records like that are publicly avaliable.
  12. Heh, the main "dobber" on that website averages over 16 "dobs" a day. Reckon he just drives around with a note pad and pen looking for the slightest misdemeanor? Chump probably thinks he deserves a medal or something.
  13. Alpine Type R 12" sub + appropriate amp and cabling kit will set you back around $600. Awesome sub, will rattle your innards with ease. Then for $400 you can get some pretty sweet speakers and pay for installation.
  14. Not trying to be rude, but you're asking way too much. I only comment because you claim you can't get it cheaper elsewhere, when I'm actually looking at importing a mint black GT4 coupe manual for around $18,000. About $3000 less will get you a straight manual rwd GT coupe. It's a nice car mate, but you've got to be realistic.

    Shattered

Sorry to hijack the thread, but does anyone know what happens if your custom plates are stolen? I heard you can't get them back again, but that doesn't sound right to me.

My uncle told me a story recently. He was in a supermarket car park when he saw this dodgy looking guy hit another parked car. The guy looked around, saw a bunch of people watching, wrote a note, and placed it under the windscreen wiper. As the guy drove off, my Uncle went and had a look at the note and saw that it was blank. So he put the details of the car on the note, explained the dude had left a blank note and left his own contact details as a witness.
  17. I'm more concerned about my insurance dicking me over for driving an illegal vehicle. I bet everytime some P plater buys insurance for a high powered vehicle they just laugh, because they're taking your money knowing full well they'll never give you any. If losing your car doesn't scare you, how does bankrupcy? If you cause an accident (and don't say it wouldn't happen) can you afford to pay the potential hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills that the other party may suffer?
  18. Did you max the excess out? I was quoted something like $2250 with an excess of $500. I upped the excess to $3000 and my premium dropped to like $1000.
  19. Hey guys, I'm looking at buying an R34, but I'm wondering how easy it is to wind back the odometer. I know unlike the R32 and R33 they have a digital reader, but does this make a difference at all? With an analog one I'm sure you could just pull it apart and reassemble it with a lower reading, or manually wind it back, but can you some how reprogam a digital one? Is it possible to do a complete cluster swap? When looking for my old 33 I was very wary of extreme low km examples because I simply didn't believe them, but R34's aren't quite as old. Do genuine ~50,000km R34s still exist or are they likely wound back too? Thanks.
  20. I would've thought mint condition Nur's would only increase in price. As they're so rare and becoming somewhat of a classic.
  21. Your car will still stink, take it from us non smokers.
  22. Deporting is too light a penalty, but I can't think of any better solution.
  23. In their defense I wouldn't have done anything either. I'm not a brave person by any means, and I'm probably skinnier than any of those Sudanese guys. I would've called the cops however.
