I always assumed I got my P's before the changes in forced induction came into play, but I recently discovered they had not. I need a new car, and don't have long left on my P's anyway. So I'd rather buy a nice car now and drive it legally, than buy a shitter, try and sell it, and then buy a nice car once I'm on my full license.
Anyway, the old P plate restrictions were only 3.5l engine per ton and/or 125kw per ton.
What I want to know is what turbo charged cars can I still drive? Is the kw taken from the flywheel (because that rules out a lot of cars, including R33 GTSTs) or is it from the wheel? Does anyone have a list of common turbo charged cars P platers used to drive?
For reference, here's the official vicroads site;

And here's the official power to weight calculator;

Thanks.
