  1. Thanks for all the replies guys, I should add that I'm looking for an after market front bar, and that I'm located in Melbourne.
  2. Would prefer the GT-R wing, but will consider others. All parts must be painted in the standard R33 white.
  3. I have a Viper alarm which was cheap and does everything I need. Remote locking, immobilizer, siren, sensors on boot and hood, sonic sensors (or whatever they are), two flashing lights (one which is actually suck to the window and lights up with the brand name) plus a bagillion on and one different ways to program it. I haven't mucked around with it completely, but the option is there. Cost me $500 including installation around... 6 months ago.
  4. So the other day I was convinced into buying a sub and amp. I bought a 12" Alpine Type-R which I've since looked up online and found it to be an absolute monster of a sub (much more power than I needed). My question is, with a sub like this do I really need to deaden the boot and doors of my car? I'm assuming doors are more for tweeters than the sub, but the boot could be a problem. Excuse my lack of knowledge, but how essential is sound deadening? I mean, beside poorer sound quality, there's no chance of me damaging anything is there? Is it really only required if you want to take your sub to its maximum ability, or does it help with lower volume thumps too? Thanks.

    Car Vs House

Sell it and buy a house. When you're a little more mature buy another. That sort of attitude will get you into trouble, believe me, I know.
  6. I think it's hot. Just needs better rims and a "I'm gonna eat you" front bar.

    Spotted Thread

Spotted a white type-M R33 parked outside Davey's in Frankston on Friday night with SAU stickers.
  8. Where I work one of the night fill guys came back to his car to find massive dents all over it. Apparently some drunk kids thought it'd be funny to run over the top of it. Personally though whenever I park in a crowded carpark, especially ones with lots of shopping trolleys, I park a fair way away from the main bunch of cars. If possible.
  9. Yeah it's always the Commonwhore drivers that harass me. Perfect example; I was driving home from my girlfriends house last Friday night. Sitting in the turning lane to get into the highway, just waiting for a break in the traffic. Whilst I'm waiting a white Commodore with a monster HOLDEN sticker whacked across the windscreen, partially covering their P plate drives by. I knew as soon as they went by they'd try something. I drive a stock R33 GTS on my Ps, so I'm an obvious target. Sure enough, as soon as I pull out I see them doing 30km/hr in the left lane, and as soon as I pass them they're literally right up my ass. I ignore them, knowing I have to turn off in a few hundred meters or so. Happens all the time, and that was tame compared to other stuff I've witnessed. The most that'll happen with a fellow Skyline driver is they'll put there foot down as they overtake or launch out of the lights, but none of this dangerous harassment.
  10. I switch between house/trance and FM radio. I'll almost always start with radio, and if they're playing shit I switch to the iPod.
  11. What do you consider stock? My car has exhaust, rims and a pod. I'd personally only consider the exhaust a major modification, but if stock cars are selling for more it wouldn't cost much to replace the stock rims, box and exhaust (well, exhaust could be costly). I'd happily keep all three for my next car anyway. Well, no. Four stud rims could be an issue.
  12. Almost certainly, or at least, they haven't depreciated anywhere near as much as the turbos have. I don't know what N/A prices were like before the new laws, but I imagine the difference between an turb and non-turb would be like sedan and auto Skylines are now, only more so.
  13. I'd personally say (this is just my guess - I have little experience to back it up) at least $14,000, if not more. Late model and low k's all help a lot. The colour and wing tickle my personal fancy as well.
  14. I'd be skeptical of your k's. I was told the clock on almost all imports is wound back somewhere between here and Japan, and numbers that low tell me that its almost a guarantee. I remember looking at a GTS4 R33 that claimed it had 60,000kms on it. Just looking at the interior alone it looked like it had done 300,000. When looking at cars now I don't tend to worry so much about the k's, and just look at how clean the interior and engine bay is. I don't know enough to look beyond that even if I wanted to anyway.
  15. I picked mine up at Christmas for $8500 White 1993 R33 Series 1 GTS with factory sunroof. 104,000km on the clock, no mods beyond 17" rims, pod and exhaust. Add on an extra $1000 for new head unit (was stock Jap one, with Japanese frequencies and a cassette player), alarm, immobilizer and rego. However, my mechanic looked it over and said it was worth at least $10,000. I just got lucky.
  16. Huh? The r32 would be more legal? It's either legal or illegal. Don't take the risk because if you have an accident you're f**ked.
  17. Maybe its just me, but I would never buy an R32 just because they're simply getting too old. Love the car and all, but I'm not car saavy enough to handle common problems with an 80's car, let alone a twin turbo one. Hell, I'm upset with my 33 because I feel the interior is too dated. Looking at 34's now, or just another car completely.
  18. It is a constant problem at the 5500rpm mark? My car is having similar issues, but its temperamental. Some days it drives great, other days its terrible, and of course whenever I take it to the mechanic it decides to have a good day, or half-week as it were last time. In any case, next time it plays up I'm driving it straight to him. I'll post here on what he finds.

Cool plates, but the car needs to be matte black.
  20. Buy your own stuff. I got all mine off ebay; Power rack with high/low cable attachments. Incline/decline adjustable bench. 7ft standard bar. Standard EZ bar. 2x standard screw lock dumbells. And about... 120kg worth of rubber coated weights. Cost me less than a grand including delivery. Home gyms are excellent IF you can motivate yourself. Its very easy to to procrastinate, or quit the session early.
  21. Eh? Do you simply not like them because they're common? If that's the whole reason you dislike them then you probably shouldn't be driving a Skyline at all, it's not as though the 32's are rare or anything. Besides, it all depends where you live. I'm on the Mornington Peninsula and drive at least an hour a day, and I'm lucky if I see two all week. IMO they're the best looking of the three, especially the GTR.
  22. Deff the Matt black. Won't attract cop attention and looks just plain mean. The white car/black hood just screams hoon. Add some eyelids, tint the windows and some dark rims and that a scary looking beast.

    Car Stolen!

Congrats, better than nothing. Now its time to invest in that insurance!
  24. Does this mean we can drive turbo cars now?
  25. Is there anyway to test these things, or do you have to just buy it and hope? I think I'm just gonna have to hand it over to my mechanic.
