So I'm driving to my girlfriend's house tonight. I'm accelerating up a rather steep hill in third, when at about 3000rpm my car suddenly loses all power. It's like it hit a rev limiter at 3000rpm. The exhaust starts making a loud, rapid popping noise and the car shudders slightly. It scared the shit out of me. The car drives fine otherwise, but you push it even slightly and the same problem occures. Any idea what's going on? Thanks.

My friend is a vet nurse, and the stories she tells me are disgusting. If an owner wants their dog put down, then legally the vet must do it. The reasons she's heard for them over the years have been; "We're going away on holiday for two weeks and its cheaper to put it down than put it in a dog home." "It was cute when we first got it, now it just poos everywhere and barks all day." "I can't be bothered looking after it anymore." Where were worse ones, I just can't remember them at the moment.

No kidding. The fridge and monkey scene were just ridiculously unbelievable. I mean I can handle running around with 30 guys spraying machine guns at you and all of them missing, but those two scenes just went way overboard. The ending too, just bleh.

There was a article in the Herald Sun recently about ways driver's can save petrol. One of them was (and they didn't recommend it) tail gating the car in front so you stay within their slip stream. I know my Science teacher back in High School used to do it.

Definitely the R34. The R33 is losing its class these days, so many scummers drive them. I went and test drove an R34 with my mate the other day, and I reckon up close and in person they look like a seriously mean car. Meaner than the 33, which just looks sexy.

It's only for cars less than 10 years old, which pretty much excludes everything but R34s.

Do what my mate does, he accelerates away, gets a bit of distance between, drops the car down two gears and quickly releases the clutch. Car suddenly drops 30-40kph and brake lights don't come on. Scares the living shit out of them. His rear bar was f**ked though, so I think he secretly hoped they'd hit him.

Hey guys, my girlfriend and I decided last night on a spur of the moment whim we're going to Brisbane for the long weekend. We've basically got two a bit days to kill. We know we'll probably spend one day at Dreamworld, but otherwise we're completely open. We're staying in the city, not Surfer's Paradise, and we won't have a car. We're also looking to head out Saturday (maybe Friday) night, so what are the best clubs? Thanks heaps guys.

I'm not saying it wouldn't do anything, it's just you wouldn't get the full benefit. I'm just guessing here, but if you revved a GTR to 7000rpm and released the clutch you'd overwhelm the traction on all 4 wheels, whereas a GTS4 would grip and a launch. That's good, but you want enough power that you can just lose traction, and make full use of it. In a GTS4 probably only what... 20% of the power would ever be put to the front wheels?

Windows wide open. Stereo full blast, AND sing along to it. AC on full at 18c. Eat, chew gum. Apparently unless you're drunk or similar its near impossible to fall asleep when you're too cold or have food in your mouth.

Problem is non turbos simply don't have enough power to make full use of the AWD system. I test drove one and just didn't like it. RWD is much more fun IMO.

Sell it, and buy a GTR instead.
