are the "upgraded GTR turbos (number 1)" stock 32 gtr turbos, that have been rebuilt??
very very tempting
-
anyways
we have gotten totally off topic
but yeah , without the air con my car is getting heaps better k's
-
im really after new shocks
these would be ideal
but im not sure if they will fit my 32 GTR
-
i totally want to go to motorshow
cant do fri night but my w/e is free
anyways
along with my original post
i reckon fellow kew/camberwell/hawthorn/balwyn sau'ers should meet
-
yeah thats right
im just sayin that +7mmHg = 1 bar = 14.7psi
you originally wrote that the gauge read +7 bar = 98 psi
-
not sure
they are stil in car
im picking up stock shocks and springs so not interested in swaps
-
i just thought if there was someone close to me, i.e. kew camberwell balwyn, we could meet up and have a cheeky beer, check out eachothers cars etc..
-
kindof like a humming/buzz noise
i suspect it may be loose sh!t in the sideskirt
but i tried to unscrew it but i think they are glued on also

IS IT POSSIBLE THAT A GOOD RE TRIMMER WOULD BE ABLT TO MATCH THE FABRIC
-
closest seat material to original macro suede type is probably 'alcantara' as used by lambo, audi, porsche, amg etc and available from Gineico in Sydney from memory about $110/m on a 1.4m wide roll. classic british and german in sydney have a similar product but slightly coarser and more expensive. there are similar alternatives but i can't vouch for them. alcantara is bullet proof hence why they use it on ferrys etc. as it is very wear and uv resistant. unfortunately due to fading and batch changes etc its unlikely you can ever match the original perfectly.
cool sounds like good info tho
i will see what i can do
i def want to re trim the seat but in factory gear

Wondering how many skyline drivers live around camberwell/kew/balwyn area
Anyone interested in a pub night or something, few beers and car talk??
Not many of my mates are actually into cars etc
-
Anyone interested in doing another sorrento/portsea cruise in the next few weeks
Something small, then lunch at sorrento or portsea.
Just thought i would see if there was any interest before trying to organise too much
or any other ideas would be welcomed

im going to try a different fuel i think
ive just filled up with Mobil Synergy 8000 or whatever it is, we will see how that goes
also, cos its been so hot lately, ive been using my A/C heaps
im going to see if out of a tank i dont use it at all and see what difference that makes

Chasing a new 32 GTR stock gear knob
GTR steering wheel - must be immaculate
Handbrake grip part, or whole thing, must be new or immac
seat fabric if anyone knows where to find the standard seat fabric for 32 gtr

im selling set of tein HA track coils, dampner and height adjust, stiff!

1st problem
I have this same issue with my car
But, mine just had a major major service done and now starts to do it
So im suspect the belts are a bit loose,
they were all replaced and now are new!
but yeah i think i need to take it in to have them tightened up
-
it just seems to me that less is almost more
more simple, yet still equally effective
i think i may just go with the m80s
-
yeah its pretty worn on drivers side, passenger is immac
i just want to slowly restore my gtr, this is the first step
i want everything to pretty much be factory
-
yeah i got a quote for an install for 190
but im skeptical as to whether it will be mounted in a good place or not
-
ok im not really skimping
but all im asking does an M80S do the job
i really dont want 500 sensors in my car and all this crap
-
yeah thats why i said removing the restrictor makes you run 14.7 psi
not saying that is a good idea
what im saying is that the gauge is in mmHG not bar
7 mmHg = 1 bar
-
Realise that but if increasing boost may need to go larger.
But thanks for stating the obvious
the standard fmic is good for i think about 300kw
so should be fine

Call Doug from Eastside installs 0402 855 801. Doug installed my mongoose M80S. Top job, good price.
do you mind me asking what u paid for yours
there are suppliers on ns.com that sell the mongoose range, m80S for 190 (unit alone) i think.
and ive been quoted 190 from my local audio guy for an install!
-
im not really trying to skimp on 200 bucks
but i am wondering if there is any real difference between the two
like if an M80S does the job, i.e. immobilise and has some kind of siren then i reckon thats good enough
