Subframe Modifications For Your Track Car

Hey just a question to those who have used a r33 subframe in a r32. Just wondering do the shocks bolt in properly at the top? -
thanks for the replies guys.. for now hes thinking of either going 20det+nistune and ditching vct or z32+nistune
-
well if it has a slight difference in wiring and that was fixed would it run then I mean
-
will a z32 one fit and run the car so it would atleast be drivable?
-
its a 33 head with vct.. which he wants to keep. could he just use the z32 ecu and get it chipped or tuned or would he need to get a nistune? (I know thats not the only option, but thats all his budget allows for) Also with using the z32 ecu, what are the wiring differences that need to be fixed up?
-
well he already has a 25de in his car. so I thought that would be the best place to go from.. using that loom and head. cas etc
-
thanks for your reply, and yeah he wants to keep vvt so I'm guessing tuners should be able to tuned/remaped the z32 for this application?
-
This isn't for my car it's for a friends 33, he wants to do a 25/30 NA build.. now this may be a very silly question but.. is there any cheap ecu option for this build as in using a 25det or 25de one or is the only way to go a programmable ecu or something like nistune? Thanks
-
that cake is awesome
-
mmm the 3037's still seems very convincing
-
thanks.. don't think I'll be going internal
-
0-300 in 13 seconds sounds nice.. so does 1001hp.. ooh this sounds good, any specific info on the housing ect. I'll also have a look for the Advan/Hi-Octane GTR and is the 3037 the same as the 3037s if not whats the difference
-
Thanks for that titan, now do you think those twins will have better response than a big single.. I know generally thats the case, but would it be in this particular case with those twins with a stroked, ported bigger cams ect ect head And if one were to go the GT30 option.. what GT30 would suit best
-
I'm also interested in this.. I don't have the money for it right now but I'd like to see results. Does the SPL take much longer to spool? or is it something else because it doesn't cost much more bus has 200ps more than the KAI Also are there any twin setups that could get close to this power and i mean from a fully worked 30

rad32.. from what I understand yes this can be done to a 32 hicas subframe.. but it's a better option to go with s13 non hicas if you have already locked your hicas.. and yeah pretty much just because there are a lot more s13 non hicas subframes than 32's -

Okay.. I think I'll be going with S13, I have 9.5" on the back and theyre just about touching the guards even with camber.. and I still want to go wider -

Well..I mean I have a limit on how much I'm willing to spend, both ideas do seem good.. but in this case the price difference isn't going to be huge for me because either way i need to buy a new subframe and bushes.. so for me now it comes down to the best option.. so s13 or s14 -

Ha thanks Dave, that sounds much easier and quicker.. Unfortunately I'm not in Brisbane, although I wish I was. Could you still explain this too me a bit? Riser bushes as on the LCA's or something else completely? And foam fill the frame.. never even heard of that -

Should I change anything else then because if I just changed the subframe and left everything else the same wouldnt my back wheels turn whenever they felt like it (sorry not sure what theyre called on the back, knuckles? Hub?) -

ok ok I came up with a good question.. a more valid one( I hope). So I have a hicas 32 subframe with a lock bar.. and to me it doesn't look like I could put my lock bar onto a s14 subframe?
