Splitfire Coilpack Compatibility
casuarina26 replied to TinMan's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have just replaced the coil packs on my RB25De Neo I bought SF-DIS-008 from Access Autowork in Melbourne they were the cheepest & their delivery was fantastic as I am on the Central Coast of NSW [took 2 working days]. I found them on the classified section of this forum. They cost $615 + $15 postage, cheeper than out of Sydney. The SF-DIS-008's are also used in GTT's & Stagea's so dont worry if it says RB25DeT Neo they are the same Phil -
I'm insured with Shannons and I pay by the month they were cheeper than Just Car and GIO, I then got a discoumt because I added my daily drive [94 Magna 3rd party]. Then the daughter got her car I just added it to my other 2, so in the end all 3 car are with shannons and it cost me $99/ month, The Skyline is full comp the others are 3rd party

Well guys I've had them on now for a couple of weeks have found them to be very good in both wet & dry weather. Have had a couple of wet nights after training so I decided to test them out on some of the bends that I go hard thru in the dry & the grip was just the same, they get of the line realy good no wheel slip, only a slight squrm on the gear change fron 1st to 2nd (was giving it a -bit). I would rate them out of 10 a 7.5-8. Very happy with my purchase. Cheers Phil [casuarina26]

I have just had fitted today some HTR-ZII in 235/45/17's. Will give them a couple of weeks then I will post my thoughts but first impressions is that they are very quite compaired to the Dunlop DZ 101's that they replaced, even on the rough bitumen. The guy at the tyre shop recommended them, he said that they are now made by Dunlop in Japan, they were on special at $165 each. Phil [casuarina26]

It will depend on how you drive if you drive hard all the time economy will be poor, on the other hand if you drive it easy with the odd blat here or there economy will be better. Avoid short trips only drive medium to long. I have a stock R34 N/A with the Neo 6 motor, 5 speed manual & I can get about 550K's before the low feul light comes on, I drive it easy & only drive medium to long trips. I am thinking of fitting cruse control to help with economy [have had cruse on my other cars & got good economy out of them]. When I get it serviced I will talk with my mechanic about leaning it off abit. Hope this may help Cheers

Insurance Problem Question
casuarina26 replied to snoopy4eva's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I've just insured my R34 GT-V with Shannons I'm 49 & it cost me just over a $1000 (twice my commodore's premium), you can pay by the month with Shannons & it doesn't cost any more. NRMA was about $1200 or $1300 to pay by the month Shannons was cheaper than Just Car. -
Hi there, I just pick up this little black gem a 1999 4 door R34 GT-V 5speed manual NON Turbo with 50500 k's on the clock, its in very good condition paid 20K for her, she's an absolute pleasure to drive. One very happy Skyline owner!
