does anyone have a spare set of caps? i need a set (or 2- to try and match up as close as i can, then to line bore out.)
pm me if anyones got any
thanks

yeah thats the plan, to get some caps and machine to fit (will probably cost me $$$). Unfortunatly a head I bought does not come with the caps.
Im after as many as i can get. Rb25, Rb26 (and even rb20 if they are similar) Should be anything from a twin cam RB engine.
Does noone have any floating around??
Mate something to keep in mind. Cam caps are a "machined fit" so you can't just take a handful of 'em & throw 'em on a head like you would a set of wheel nuts etc. You CAN stuff around trying to match a bucketful of caps but the best way is, once you've got some, send them in with the head along with the cams to a good machine shop & they'll machine everything to fit.Apologies if you're already aware of this, I've heard stories & seen the end-result of not matching cam caps to an engine properly & it usually ends in tears. Good Luck with it

as title suggests, im after a set of rb26 or rb25 cam cams (the metal caps that secure the camshafts in place)
Bolts would be preferable, but just after these caps.
pm me if you have some floating around.
thanks

Hi guys
Ive got a bit of a project coming along, and ive searched for weeks / months looking for info on this topic.
I am currently in the middle of sourcing VERY cheap lcd replacment screens for the R34 MFD (by cheap, i mean like AU$80.00!) I already have one here for testing for compatibility, but i've hit a snag.
It seems as if Nissan couldnt get enough of the same LCD panels for the run of the R34 so over the 4 or so years they made them, they seemed to go through some different manufacturers of LCD, including Sharp, Toshiba, Etc.
What I need from as many people as possible is
1.) The brand/model, if known, of the LCD unit you have,
2.) Which connector on the curcuit board it plugs into - the flat ribbon cable from the LCD board, (either Conn7, Conn11, or Conn14),
3.) The year of your R34 (the actual build year & month)
I am putting together some documentation which will outline EVERYTHING about these units (from pin-outs, RGB inputs / outputs, and how to cheaply make a new MFD for those who dont have one already (with just the 2 control boards and one of my cheap LCD's ))
Any pictures you might have will be of great use.
Thanks guys.

is that the r34 manual with the GTR component or is it the same as everyone elses which only covers everything but GTR?

As per title.
Prefer in Melbourne for pickup.
Not in great rush, but will be needing one.

As name suggests, looking for a set of cam caps for both in and ex.
rb26 prefered, but im understanding they are the same as most of the rb engines. can anyone confirm?
going to have to get them line bored ($$$) so cant spend much,
let me know.
thanks

did anyone find this out?... im needing to know now too.

Im looking for someone who can tell me what the numbers stamped on the block mean. Obviously some would have to be a unique serial number of some kind, but is there any digits or letters that state what year / model the engine is from? I know that 05U means standard rb26, 27U / 24U means N1 block, but these are the part numbers on the casting. Im talking about the actual engine number starting in RB26xxxxxxX.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

isnt this item sold on ebay?

I know ive got buckly's chance here, but I might as well try because $1000+ doesnt appeal to me at the moment...
Im looking for the 2 pcb boards which are replaced when upgrading the R34 GTR MFD screen to the nismo version. My unit has frozen and im suspecting one of these boards. The LCD unit is fine.
At the moment i have a few financial undertakings so funds are limited, but name your price, within reason. These boards are no longer used once upgraded to the nismo item, so please be generous
Appealing to the good people out there... HOOK A BROTHER UP!
PM or email to [email protected]. Thanks guys.
