Anyone Want A Cheap V-spec R32?
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to Black Widow's topic in General Automotive Discussion
r32line is only stating ONE of the points to tell the cars condtition just at a glance. He's not saying Plenum paint = flaked off = f**ked engine... Its just one of many things. My plenum still had the paint on it just bits of it flaking off and no where near the condtition of the pics posted in J-Spec Imports. I had to get new front disk, then rebuild my rear diff, then I rebuilt my turbos, then changed my clutch. And it was a 90 model with 113 000kms. But judging its a 93 model, 126 100kms on the clock and a plenum looking like that, you COULD say its been thrashed OR previous owner tried to get rid of the paint but did a shitty job... Could be anything. Best is to test the car itself. BTW I was sent an email by Prestige Motorsport PTY LTD This MIGHT be a cause of a low price car... "Although it a R32 GTR, the price will not be HIGHLY affected but may have caused it to drop in price" Please note that vehicle prices are way down thanks to the end of Japanese financial year plus current global economic uncertainty. Most affected appear to be the more expensive vehicles, which is not that surprising since luxury items are always first affected in troubled times. Lancer EVO's, V35 Skylines and R34 GTR's are all considerably cheaper than they were just a few months ago, due to a sudden world decrease in demand and a coincident increase in supply due to the end of financial year stock clearances. Cheaper models are also being affected to some extent, although not as much as the models mentioned above which have dropped in price by many thousands of dollars. EVO 8's with low kms and in pristine grade 4.5 condition are down by about $6,000, and are selling from the low $30,000's complied, with higher km examples well under $30,000 complied. Some R34 GTR's have dropped by $10,000 over what they were selling for just months ago. V35's are also down by thousands. With the exchange rate sitting at 93.99 Yen to the dollar today, we are right in the middle of a "perfect storm" of conditions which are creating the opportunity for massive cost savings on many import models, for those in a position to buy. It is hard to imagine cheaper prices at auction than we are seeing this last week or so. There is no telling how long these conditions will last, so those in a position to take advantage of this unusual situation are encouraged to look at their options now if they want to pick themselves up a bargain. Please note that your choice is not simply limited to what you see listed in our online stock sections. We have thousands of other vehicles to choose from at auction each week at amazing prices and we specialise in finding you the perfect vehicle to your exact requirements, including genuine low kms and non-smoker's vehicles. We have experienced buyers checking vehicles in person at auction so we can provide a level of detail that most others are simply unable to. Our automated auction system sends vehicles of interest straight to your e-mail each morning, so it is extremely easy. You just tell us what you like each morning and we will take it from there. If you'd like to see what is available just get in touch and let us know the model/s of interest, we'd be happy to add you to a free trial of our auction search system so you can judge for yourself, completely obligation free ! Performance / Accessories Shops In Hong Kong
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to dnbutts's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Haha!! Good luck... My parents from HK I'll ask them for ya. BTW If your not "local" in HK, you can get ripped off left, right and centre. Beware of the fake stuff too and know what you are looking for. -
You could make a box around the pods, if not cover it up with a piece of material or buy an aftermarket ARC Air Box. Tried any import car yards, they might have spare parts...

^^ Yeah I know, just saying hope you will be there thats all!

Ah yeah sorry to let you down but I thought I let you know... Skyline meet up in an industrial area = GET THE F**K OUT! If cops come there is only 1 way in and 1 way out. Did that at a Westside meet. About 20 cars went to an industrial area and lucky no cops came but we all blasted out of their before anything could happen. Westfield Doncaster is probley not a good area to meet up at night. A while back commodore F**k head hoons were doing burn outs and cops can petrol the area. Maybe Skyhigh as what eMsta suggested... Harvey Norman car park, just before Chadstone down Warrigal Road. We had a big East Side meet there and no troubles.

LEANBAC! Bring some beef jerky and I will come. Thats some nice meat!

What Is Your Most Hated Car On Melbourne Roads?
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to adznight's topic in Victoria
HA! What a question to ask on a Skyline Forum. I would expect the answer to be HSV / FPV Must be compensating for something... Mini Man Syndrome or something. The need to feel bigger... AND they put tacky Chev badges, headlights / fog lamps blasting at 12 o'clock midday when the sun is nice and bright. Commies with Japanese mufflers and fake HSV bodykits. Ford turbo drivers who have to show off to every other car on the street how fast they go. OMG Fully sick VL turbos, Calais bro. Half Ass Jap/USA garbage with Skyline bolt on mods. Any N/A 4 banger with all the rice accessories, chrome wheels, tail lights, bla bla bla... -
That sounds pretty high for idling. I thought GTS-Ts' idle just below 1000 rpm. I can expect that on start up but after the car is warmed up it should drop lower... Check you Engine Temperature Sensor... "MAYBE", it's playing up and the engine can't tell if its warmed up so it keeps giving it more fuel = running rich / using a lot of fuel = car stalling cuz the car is probley "Over" fuelling itself......

I use K&N Air Filter Cleaning kit. It comes with a cleaning agent and a oil spray. (Preffer you remove the filter from the casing) Spray the cleaning agent to soak the filter and let is soak for 10-15 mins then rinse under a hose / tape water to get rid of the dirt, dust, oil stains etc. Let it dry in the sun and you can pat it down with a tower to make sure you get all the water out. Spay the oil over the filter giving it a light coat. (Not too much!) Its to catch the tiny paricals. The place the filter back into casing and your car can breath better! BTW I would not use petrol, degresser, hot soapy water. I did it before and the filter turned alittle harsh.

R33 Skyline Veilside Body Kit.
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to shaun_perry's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
HA! Veilside kits look nice only on certain cars. Just gotta pick them. Supra is one of my favourite with a Veilside kit, but due to so many half ass fake / silver mesh grills you see on some it kills the the Veilside name. BTW I like the Nissan 350Z Veilside Version 3 Bodykit. -

^^Thats what I read too! -
To be safe use a small Hose Clamp to hold it on.

This would be easy, just get a table cloth and draw the face on. I'll leave it up to you how you want to design this one. HAHAHA!!!
