  1. -Install a Supercharger for low RPM then the turbos kick in at the mid high RPM OR -Install a NOS Kit Just get the boost controller and Power FC controller and/or upgrade the flywheel.
  2. Cuz you got an N/A car, if you put a 3" exahaust / large cannon muffler, you are loosing back pressure volumetric efficiency. By placing the Silencer in, it narrows the In-pipe of your cannon muffler and reduces the size back down to say 2.5" so your not loosing back pressure volumetric efficiency. = Get you power back up. Silencers, pretty much a metal cylender, goto any exhaust place and they can make / measure one up for you. Or if you bought an aftermarket exhaust, they usualy come with a silencer.
  3. With no budget... DAMN! As of above on what everyone has said. + its easy to take advantage of the power of a RB26. Don't forget your Boost Controller.
  4. What the hell mechanic is this? Thats bulls**t, if its a good mechanic he'd check it out no matter what. What do you mean when ya cars not running entirely smooth? You done an oil / oil filter change, check spark plugs, battery, fuel injectors, ingnition system, timing / fan belts, all the regular things you need to look out for... Your ECU will be able to check to see if the sensors are working...
  5. Probley LOL! All this fuel might all come from the same plant / refinary but I was told different companies, ie BP / Mobil, they put their own additives in...
  6. Why do you want to put the stock suspension back on?
  7. You ppl got APS (Air Power Systems) in Alexander Heights, Perth? They have made twin turbo systems for the LS1 / LS2 engine. http://www.airpowersystems.com/ls1/us_gto.htm I just do a RB26 conversion. That engine is pretty much indestructerble, with the right type of maintance and you can achive as much if not more power then the LS1.
  8. NICE! Black Lamborghini Gallardo in Box Hill.
  9. I got 2 HKS air pods on mine. On The Run Motor Sports sell them. Speak to Jonny. He's the owner. I would think he still is, haven't seen him for a while. http://www.ontherunmotorsports.com 137A Westall Road Clayton South VIC 3169 +61 3 9547 8100 [email protected]
  10. LOL! Funny you say that, I saw a guy filling up his Ferrari 360 Spyder at 7 Eleven. I wouldn't even put that stuff in my Mitsubishi Lancer GLi.
  11. Thats what I was thinking. Just get a new high flow cat or find a stock GTR one, thats if there are any that are still in good condition. True that!
  12. Just have to give it a moment for the oil to circulate, gearbox, diff etc to warm up, or I find that the car will feel alittle sluggish.
  13. ^^ Friend told me he used it (100 Octane) he did not notice anything compaired to 98 Octane. Plus Our cars would have had to be tuned for AUS fuel and I guess at the time 98 was pretty much the highest, when I bought my car. 100 only came out early last year from memory but was probley avaliable at selected Shell stations prier to all.
  14. compliance cat / compliance air filter..? Does that mean these items cause restrictions to the air flow? Factory Stock GTR boost is 0.5 Bar = 7.2 Psi and I believe the brass boost restrictor has been removed for a SAFE Factor Boost increase which takes it up to 0.7 Bar = 10.1 Psi. As what Russman said, all dynos are different, temprature might have affected the perfomance, some ppl put a gigantic fan to feed air to the pods and have a fan to blow against the intercooler... It can all affect it. Iam guessing. Well atleast you got the HKS Boost controller. Take it up another 1 or 2 bars and should give abit more power increase. A member on this forum revhed01, he is running about 1.25 Bar = 18.1 Psi and he put it on a dyno and got about 280 AWKW. Also hes got N1 Turbos.
  15. How is that stuff anyway? Does that extra 2 Octane make any difference? I stick to BP as advised by my mechanic. Also different fuel companies have different additives in their 98 Octane. SO personal choice / ppls experiance. I go BP > Mobil > Caltex > Shell... IMO
  16. There is a thread for this, Yeah 4-5mins is good enough. I do that, then drive it lightly and after about 5-10mins of driving you can drive it normal / take it harder.
  17. I think they make about 187.4 Kw at all wheels, thats if its about 20-25% power loss through the drivetrain. Ppl in Japan been getting around 243 Kw at the flywheel, probley here in AUS too! Stock you talking like nothing, no pods, exhaust, nothing...
  18. You got R32 or R33? What parts you got?
  19. You still can get a FMIC but make sure you don't loose any boost presure. If ya front mount is too big presuer loss can happen and end up loosing power while running standard boost. 600 X 300 X 75, if this size intercooler is still OK for standard boost then go for it, if not upgrade the SMIC.
  20. This sounds good, Ill get Dogknight and revhed01 down as well!
  21. What do you mean by rear pods, do you have a pic? If it is what I think you have got... Then I want them too! Spoiler you might have to bolt it down. Unless its the Nismo Lip Spoiler you could stick it down with some heavy duty silicone There is some silicone stuff you can buy at autobarn/ auto pro
  22. Use a small electric saw. The plastic might be a bit hard but you can also try and drill through it... you know the drill bit you use to drill through wooden doors to install door locks... look like a circler piece thingy...LOL damn it only if I knew the name.
  23. ^^ Did you R33 come with an air feed which just sits under the bonnet? If it did, put it back on to feed air to the pod and where you have circled, YES thats where you can make a hole, thats only if there is nothing underneath. Cuz you car is N/A you do not have an intercooler to cool the air. So you will have to feed as much cold air as posible.
  24. Leave it on to pass the roady then change it back to the pods.
