  1. For the temp gauge to sit around half is normal. But the bubbling sound I have not heard of... Maybe do a radiator flush. Something might be claged up... not sure. Also use good radiator coolent. I use Techteloy 100, seems to work fine.
  2. ^^Congratulations on the new GTR R32! how it going? All the best I hope! What you have b4? Thats rare, Wine Red I hardly see them and usualy their are kept in pretty good condition. Cuz its not a colour a car nut would go around trashing in LOL. Plus its the one of the local delivered Skyline colours, so Wine Red, Gun Metal Grey and Black (Also White, if I remembered correctly?) Quite original infact. Previous owner must have painted the drak grey lip to match the rest of the car, cuz it kinda sticks out and can look alittle funny. Any pics!!!
  3. ^^Actually, sorry buddy, the Non V-Specs did come with a dark grey lip but I don' think they where painted, just the normal sorta non painted plastic or what ever they used. I remember seeing it on the Wine Red and White GTR's but cuz I mainly see Grey and Black ones ya sorta don't notice it.
  4. I can tell you now it will not cost you as much as having a GTR R32. But you gota about a 60 litre fuel tank! And ya better be putting in 98 RON petrol. Check the cars condition and listen out for any noises. Usual stuff like engine, brakes, clutch, etc make sure things are in mechanical working order. When you do buy the car do an oil, oil filter change, fuel fillter, spark plugs, check fan/timing belts, fluids, brake pads, check the disks for grooves, tyres, battery, meters/gauges all work, check the idling and all electronics... Thats what I did anyway. If the car yard has done that for you then that should be fine. Guess you can keep the car stock till you get more on the payroll, in the mean time if you can get your hands on a GTR intercooler then upgrade it to that. Stock GTR intercoolers are quite good. I know a few ppl use them for their drift cars. Do a service every 5000km and use top quality oil (I use Mobil Synthetic S 10W 40). Also install a Turbo Timer or just wait about 3mins idling before turning off the car to allow the oil / turbo to cool down.
  5. I have seen a Skyline V35 with a SR20DET transplant. The garage tuning house Signal Auto in Japan did it and made it a 2.2lt 2003 Nissan Skyline V35 SR20DET 2.2L Toda Displacement Toda Cams Toda Connecting Rods Toda Pistons Toda Valvesprings Toda Cam Gears HKS F-Con V-Pro HKS Turbo Manifold Sard 600cc Injectors Splitfire Coilpack Greddy TD-06 Turbo Greddy Spark Plugs Greddy Profec-B Boost Controller Trust Wastegate V-Mount Intercooler V-Mount Radiator Chrome Valve Cover R33 GT-S Transmission Cusco LSD Signal Custom Shift Kit Signal Custom Shift Lever Exedy Hyper Single Clutch REF - http://www.jtuned.com/content/templates/st...15&zoneid=2 Pure Drift Car!!!
  6. Gota BLITZ Nur Spec N1, (thinks about 3" but at the moment got the stock one) cat back. Also BIG ASS dump pipe and high flow cat.
  7. ^^ Nice exahust, bonnet and GTR front bar too!
  8. Still looking for the codes but all I can find ATM is the Body Colours which you probley already know. Body Colour: Ultimate Metal Silver Titanium Grey Dark Metal Grey Super Black White Pearl Red
  9. You should be fine, GTR engines are TUFF! Ppl say they are indestructerble WITH the the right type of maintainace. + the Block is pretty much made of pure iron. So what ya doing is good for the car. You still got the standard turbos?
  10. Yeah the V-Specs came with the Nismo bodykits. Pretty much dark grey is the colour. I got one but my cars not a V-Spec just the Nismo kit and the paint is coming off, dammit!!! one too many scraps.
  11. That looks pretty frigging good! Mine looks like that, but I want like mudflaps, the sort that mold into the bumper, sorta like an add on like what you can do with the R33 GTR's. Kinda tops it off I guess. What those rims you got?
  12. Nice ride! Any mods under the hood?
  13. I drove a friends R33 GTS-T. Quite responsive for what it is and he just had a pod filter and cat back exhaust. I have been in a S13 and that was fast too but personaly I like the look of the S15 better and it can be done up very nice. I see too many R33 GTS-Ts around and its become a bit too common. Powerwise you probley achive more out of the R33 but you drink more fuel hence the bigger engine. Quote by R338OY "The SR is a four banger for cheap street thrills. The RB is a true tuner's engine." Easy bro, lol! SR20DET can make an awesome drift car.
  14. ^^ Guess you could say Nissan did whats called "Mapping", where they reasearch and figured out everything to go on the car. eg. The way they designed and put the spoiler on for a purpose = downforce, then they made the Nismo bodykit with the lipspoiler for the bonnet and boot to reduce drag and create more downforce and 2 vents on the front bar to feed more air to the intercooler. They improved on the spoiler on the R33 GTR so you can manualy adjust the level you want and the R34 GTR its pre-set where it automaticaly moves down once you hit over 100km/h. Taking the spoiler off is just for looks and does not really do anything unit you start flying down the freeways / turning corners at high speeds.
  15. I just put the stock muffler back on then after passing rego put the aftermarket back on.
  16. More to feed the air pod full of air lol.
  17. You will always get a bumpy ride with lowered/harden suspension. As Abu said You can try a set of Tein Flex cuz they have the damping force which is adjustable to give a more comfortable ride. I have CUSCO Suspension in my R32 and the ride is friggin hard. It's lowered with a front strut brace and I also have a Flow Brace in the middle of the car which makes really stiff.
  18. When I got my R32 Complied I had to get a unleaded fuel restrictor cap installed, front windscreen wipers, Airconditioner re-gased, intrusion bars installed inside the doors, driver side mirrior from convex to flat, new set of front tyres and I would change the fuel filter anyway just so you know its a new one. Thats about it.
  19. True that! In other words a heat shroud. Here is one on a S15 Sliva And if ya look closely there are 2 tubing pipes to feed air to the pod.
  20. Big bodykit always looks good on a R33. I was gonna say Veilside. Other that that I prefer the stock / Nismo kits. Here some personal favourite rims of mine Also the Volk TE37's in white colour look nice as well.
  21. Had HKS ones before, now I use NGK Iridiums / Platinum. Plus I got Spitfire Coil Packs and a Di (Direct Ignition) bridge.
  22. Lol! I was suprised myself when I first heard about it. Friend of mind had a R32 GTS-T 4 door set up for drift and thats what he told me. I'm sure the range should have to be the correct range but the type of spark plugs is what counts I guess. I just use NGK Iradium / Platinum.
  23. You can never tell but the only thing to realy go by is by checking out the Speedo if its a Factory Stock Standard. All Japanese cars cam stock with a 180km speedo. If you bought the car with a 260km or 320km speedo then you have to add the k's of whats it reading on top of what it had done before the speedo swap. Having lower k's is not necessary a bad thing. Ppl in Japan don't drive their Skylines all that much, sorta a weekend car, as I have been told. (Btw if I remember correctly think some R34 GTRs came with 320km speedos stock..?) My speedo was a 180km and it had 113 000kms (approx can't exactly remeber the last 3 digits) on it and its a 90 model. So hardly driven but how was it driven is the question... Had to fix a few things and not till you actualy start pulling things out you find out whats the story. But yeah if a 15 yo car reads something like under 50 000km its a bit sus.
  24. Sorry for the double post.
  25. http://www.jetspeed.com.au/ Team Jetspeed have a tone of bodykits and they can also custome make kits to what you want as well.
