Thanks for all coments.. 1) yes - have learnt the ways of the controlled / gentle foot - but interesting to hear the GTR comments 2) Yes - was asking to see what price tage it would take to get a GTR up to my GTST Power range 3) thanks for the RB thoughts also 4) I do feel strong about going for a GTR as you guys say "it's already a great base to start from" - rather than trying to get the GTST up to the levell playing field. I was just thinking numbers first - ie (or is it chalk and cheese as they say) a R33 GTR is what ? $25,000 ? with some mods ? (anyone) I got my GTST for $14000 with around $25k spent on various enigine / supension and brakes etc. so if you start comparing dollars - say, I'm ten grand in front already on price (then + all the mods too ) Do I spend and extra 11k just to get a GTR then have to spend (??) don't know how much to get it up to the GTST level (or is the GTR there already) or The engine is already done etc so I have 11k to get it up to the price of a GTR (if it's 25k) - is 11k worth of mods going to make it "as good as /or better than a GTR. (there we go - I think I explained that). Now - do I even open up the can of worms that is - which is the best GTR to go for ? R32 - R33 - R34 ETC
-
BUT WAIT - THERE IS MORE. Thoughts please - not emotional ones either What will be better fo rme in the long term - ie money time and reliability. sell my R33 GTST for a GTR - and then spend the money to get it up to 340KW etc etc or Keep my GTST and put an RB30 bottom end in it plus the all wheel drive (like the GTR- you know what I mean) this is my pure business/cost decission - I like my skyline and its power - problem is getting that power down on the road (yes-saving up for federals too) - is it too much for just rear wheel drive - also the twin turbo aspect. So - calculate - whats better value - more mods to make it LIKE a GTR with a lot of speed or buy a GTR and have to do a lot of engine mods on top of a GTR price tag. Be glad to hear your thoughts (Hope I've explained what I'm thinking ok ?)

Hello warm weather freaks... After some suggestions for where to get tyres and wheels (in canberra or syd) for my R33. If you know my ride, I have to get some power down at the rear, What width do tyres go to ? I'm looking at 18' or 19' and can see around the 8 / 9s and 9.5 - are there 10s or higher etc (just asking) Thanks for your help Cheers Goldie

Me and Suzz will be along for the cruise...cheese, wine and old school hip hop. I made the front page of the Canberra times today so thats what I look like if you go ..ahh I know him.. Also, I have 3 walkie talkies if you want me to bring those along to ? for the lead, middle and rear cars....or not that organised ? don't mind either way.
-
All righty - day is free..i'm down for this.. I've got a six megapxl camera I'll bring along too..plus the cab sav..oh yeah.
-
Good Kat - more space - lots of nice skylines in the shop - still a little more work to be done in the office and most import, the cafe bar needs to be operational asap, it gets cold out there. I think their web site is or will be up and running soon too.
-
Yeah TiTAN - they have done a good job, it was kicking in at 5500 before, and now it's not the millenium falcon going into hyperspace "ie" head snap back when it kicked in, it's a very nice ramp up to power (still wheel spins in 2nd and 3rd if I'm a lead foot) INVRTD - Check members rides - it's got all that motor talk stuff

Hi Everybody. First up - thanks for the info. Question answered, a tune should last over a year then ? Only asking cause if i'm forking out that sort of moolah, I want to know how often, so knowing a tune is a wise investment as it last over year ..cool. Yeah ruff quotes in Canberra where from $750 start to the $1,1k mark - and have no probs in going to syd to get it done also. sl33py - Since picking up the car - I get the feelin the ride it's been tuned purely for top end speed, (I've never been in anything that goes from 90km/h to 170km/h in like 3 seconds) it's running very rich and does not like stop starts and low idles, it hunts for revs after coming to a stop ....but I want to get it back to 0 to 100 tune (if that makes sense) I don't want top speed, I want 0 to 100, beat everyone off at traffic lights etc etc. Cheers all.
-
Hi all. With tuning cost up to th $1k mark for me...as a ballpark firgure..how long does a tune last ? I know alot of factors come into play etc but on avg. cheers.
