when i pump the excelorator at a set of lights to get the revs up b4 take of i notice a ball of smoke that gets pushed out of the muffler,is it turbo or do i need new lifters.,

Currently prepairing a full engine rebiuld for my rb20,pistons,cams,headwork,fule setup eg,stressing out about the turbo i got for it dont want it to be a lagy pig,has any1 put a 35/40 on a rb20 and how was it.
