Mt Gravatt Westfields about 11am yesterday morning, saw a S2 white 33 exactly the same as mine driving through the carpark. Didnt get the plate as I was busy admiring the other 3 that I saw about the same time They seemed to be everywhere!

Skyenate replied to SeRiUs's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Wow, what a bargain! Had to read the price a few times before it registered LOL Am loving those wheels on it. Very nice! Hope you get the issues sorted without too much hassle, its part of the fun though really! Enjoy!! -
Thats some detailed report! I got mine checked out and paid $230ish, but wasnt as detailed as that dammit. Definitely saved yourself some future bother with that report, bet your so glad!!

Hey all, Have browsed the forum without success and wondered if anyone can point me in the direction of a pattern to make handbrake/gearshift sleeves? ( R33 ) I could to just cut up the current black ones and use them for a template, but I would prefer to keep them in case I ever want to sell the car since the new ones are gonna be hot pink LOL Thanks in advance

Who Wants To Translate For Me Lol
Skyenate replied to Skyenate's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Yup, was a timing job, got a new belt since Im sure the other one had never been done He said it was worst case ( the needing a new engine thing ) I do trust them which is why I took it there. Kinda just wanted the opinion of you guys coz I know some are mechanics etc, or just know a helluva lot more than me about engines LOL I dont know a great deal about harmonic balancers etc, so what I couldnt grasp was how I drove it there fine and if things went sour, I would need a new engine, so yeah, it was more of a "Could this really happen, like is it common, and should I worry!!" LOL Anyway, happy ending after all. Got the car back and its perfect. Was a really difficult job for them to get the balancer off, one of the hardest ones apparently, bugger!! So nothing to worry about this time, but Im loving learning about the ins and outs of the engine !! -
If anyone can help with a translation I would appreciate it!! So I took my S2 R33 in today to the mechanic ( running fine btw ) to get the timing done. Had the car a few months and dont know the history so have been doing some preventative maintainence. I get a call to say it needs to stay overnight ( pfffffft when doesnt it, nothing is ever straight forward on this car LOL ) He said theyre having trouble getting the harmonic balancer off, its seized onto the cam apparently. He said its pretty common, but mine is taking longer than any other car theyve had. It didnt sound good to me, so i asked a few questions, he said something about the salt in Japan causing rust blah blah blah He also said if the cam is damaged the worst case is that I need a new engine. Like WTF? The car was going fine, how the hell do I need a new engine? Basically Im wondering if hes exaggerating or is this a serious problem I need to worry about? Thanks guys

Sorry about your friends car. That really sucks. I recently had to leave mine in the workshop. I specifically asked where it would be because someone could easily jump the fence and take what they wanted off it/out of it. We all know Skylines are targets so I would rather have taken it home and brought it back if it was to be outside because I dont leave my car anywhere, let alone overnight. They said it would be locked inside the garage on the hoist because 'apparently' all the wheels were off and they couldnt get parts that day. I was fine with that, figured it was safe. ( btw, as a side note, it rained that night... ) Interestingly enough, when I picked it up the next day it was filthy ( you know, like say, it had been left out in the rain??? ) Lucky nothing happened to it, but I wasnt impressed because: a) I had just paid a fortune to have it professionally detailed 3 days before and: b) They told me it was going to be inside when it was just left out... Good to know Im up for excess if something happens to it while in their grounds though, I didnt know that!

Can this thread be deleted? Shoes are now sold, thanks
-
Theyre not samples. They were just the wrong sized shoes we were given on the night of the shopping spree. Dont have Size 13s unfortunately!! Sorry !!
-
Your mate is wrong dude. As mentioned in the original post, these shoes came from Hype DC in Brisbane and I have the receipt right in front of me. Hype DC specialises in limited edition shoes so they arent run of the mill designs you will see in Rebel sport. Feel free to give the store a call ( 07 3211 0366 ) I doubt any of the staff would forget me because as mentioned these shoes are the result of a prize, and there were about 5 staff members involved on the night ( January 22 btw ) The name of the guy on the receipt is Big Dog if you want to personally contact him on the abovementioned number http://www.hypedc.com.au/ Getting quite sick of the negativity on this forum. If its not someone trying to get me banned because they dont think Im female, its someone trying to make me look like a scammer. Not everyone that likes cars is a guy, and not everyone trying to offer a bargain is a liar or cheat, sheeesh.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa okies Makes sense now LOL
-
Thanks for your help guys, much appreciated. okayyyyyyyyyy?

Awwwwww dont feel silly! I would also try and contact the original place that did the RWC. It might make things a little easier for you. I bought mine from a dealer and they took care of putting it my name etc, but a friend had to do all this for her last car also so I know how annoying it is finding out the certificate has expired. Hope it all goes smoothly!

Funny you should say that On a different forum I belong to ( not car related ) I said "FTW" after one of my replies to something. Some silly biatch couldnt be bothered googling so she asked me what it meant. I replied "For The Wecord" and she believed me LOL Some people are easy to mess with

Coming back from Pac Fair today I saw "Not GT" on the other side of the road around (Carrara I guess it was) very briefly. May have been an R32? Interesting plate! LOL

Hey all, When I bought my R33 the only key they gave me was a copied one...looks kind of budget and was hoping I could just go somewhere to get a proper Nissan key cut for it? Went to Mr Minute and a few other small-ish key cutting places, they all said no. One suggested a locksmith might be able to help, so just wondered if anyone knows for sure of where you go? If its even possible? Thanks!
