  4. Hey guys, Look i just got the weekly autospeed newsletter and browsing through the new articles, there looked like there is some half decent stuff to read. Now considering that it now costs money (bastards) to see these articles, do u think the quality of articles and usefulness is justified to spend my hard earned money? IS anyone else a subscriber? And what are your thoughts on it? Ive read a few older articles which wer utter crap. I just dont want to pay then start reading these things and realise what a waste of money. Look forward to your replies THanks Dean
  5. man im very modest I havent said nething about ill kick ur ass etc. Munro Yeh ill be on a cruise when i get my car. I think it would be too slow thou compared to what ur used to. Also how is it that almost every post u do, u tend to be selling something. hehehe j/k Cya
  6. Ill vote for u. It is so a revenue thing. Everyone knows it yet nothing will ever be done about it. And i just bought a skyline. Geeez What does a R33 Manual rev at 50km in 2nd?
  7. Up Close they are pure Horn. And as for the TT to NA thing from what ive heard, the engine is soo much better then the supposedly crappy Z32. Lets hope the tuners get so good Hp out of them.
  8. I live near "Holden Hill" as benm said haha its not like theres holdens everywhere.... Or is there..... Anyway if u need any help I may be able to assist. At a cost..... j/k Cya
  9. Cool. Thats good to know that wen i learn to drive my baby, then on a private test, I should beat him. Oh and yes im skeptical to whether the 350z driver even knew he was in a drag against my mate Hahah
  10. Hey guys, My mate just came over and showed me his new airfilter on his S2000. He also told me he had a drag with a 350Z and whooped his ass. Now my car comes in about a month and i was hoping that the Skyline would be faster than his S2000. Mine has Full exhaust with HKS Airpod. I may install a BC of somesort. I also have big rears (235s) and fully adjustable suspension. He has just an airpod. So what do u guys think? Is he BSin on the 350z or is the S2000 a really fast car. Thanks:)
  11. Ill speak to my compliance guy. Then ill make a decision from there. If all the fluids are changed during compliancing, I will still change the oil and filter?? (mayb just oil) to synth. Then ill take it to Tilbrooks and get it tuned. Thanks for your responses
  12. I sent power digger an email. Heres what i sent: Hi I wondering if you could supply me with as much info as u can on the Hybrid fully electronic boost controller. How does it work through the microprocessor? Is it like an AVCR, or not as indepth and efficient. Will it hold high boost levels, and will the boost levels spike due to it being a bleed valve type boost controller. Im very serious on buying one, just want more info before i make my decision. Thanks Dean And heres his reply thanks for your interest it has a micro built in and by sensing the boost signal the micro calculate the right boost amount in other words it try to bring the boost up to preset level as soon as possible and soon after it reaches the preset boost it regulated it never over shoot beside it is not a bleed type valve it is a proper 9 bar solenoid valve that uses in many other Japanese boost controller Thanks
  13. I would Say Jay#### comes to mind He just sent it to me Ill send it to whoever wants it.
  14. umm try askin the 2nd gen guys at www.rx7club.com Its a pretty daim big forum and they would be the people to talk to.
  15. Man wats up with ur ECU your car is a freak Congrats!! : )
  16. Bleed valves spike so u may do damage to ur turbo and as we have ceramic turbines it may only take one spike to screw the turbo. Im just sayin i believe that a boost gauge is always a good thing to ensure boost is at the level u want.
  17. Cheers mate I think ill get one aswell
  18. Daim it doesnt work Can u do it again or PM me thanks
  19. An aftermarket boost gauge is a definate if u are ever planning to run more boost.
  20. Car is not stock, and i wanna get the timing adjusted if possible to suit our crappy fuel. Hmmm I think ill just change the engine oil and filter myself, flush coolant? and change gearbox fluid. Daim, I dunno wat to do. Ive allocated 450 for the service, so 1 thing i know is ill save a bit doin it myself. Hmmm wat to do.
  21. Sorry for my ignorance, but how do u adjust timing? My car is soon to arrive in Aust, and once its on the road, its goin for a service, and dyno (with tuning of timing if possible). The mods on the car are Large exhaust (wateva that means) HKS airpod, HKS SS BOV, Tien fully adjustables with 235 rears. Hope i can get some good times at the drags.
  22. Whatsisname: Thanks, thats wat i thougt. Ill stick to Bp then
  23. Hey, My car is due to arrive within a month hopefully : ) and im gettin everything organised prior so that im not in a rush wen it actually gets here. Now wen all the compliance work is done, do they do a general service with hi performance gear, like synthetic oils etc, or does it pay to get a full service once the car is on the road. Im contemplating doin the basic things myself eng oil oil filter fuel filter coolant air cleaner spark plugs But im thinking that the workshop may see somethingt that I wouldnt, such as belts that need to be changed etc. So im not sure what to do. Do i do the basic service myself, then take it to the worshop to get timing tuned on a dyno and anything else, or just get the whole lot done at the worshop and pay alot. Thanks Dean
  24. Hey guys, I saw this boost controller on the Hikari website and a few others, yet i havent found any other info on them in regards to how they preform compared to the way more expensive Jap brands. FYI Hikari are sellin them for 320. Thats a fully electronic Dual stage boost controller that has in cabin control. Seems to good to be true. It also looks quite nice and looks like it would fit snug in the position of the ash tray (which is good as im not a smoker). If anyone can shed any light on this product whether its reliable and how it preforms, etc, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks http://www.hikariperformance.com/new_electronics.htm (scroll rite to the bottom)
