  1. meh u have no idea timmayy
  2. those eyes are freakin me out.
  3. Why do so many of these larger capacity pumps fail, is it bad installation or somethin?
  4. yeh but ive never heard of a stock turbo surging. interesting.
  5. What I would be interested to know is what do they teach at the seminar, how to tune, or the features of the MOTEC ecu. If it was the latter, then id assume itd be a waste of time for alot of us, but if it told us how to tune a car, that would be sweet.
  6. i dont understand how the commo was even half track, yet only managed a 12.8, 2 secs slower then Jett. he must of missed a gear.
  7. The sound u are hearing could be the rubber intake off the airfilter collapsing and hence stopping airflow and making that sound.
  8. $175, hmm id be interested.
  9. i got this email in regards to plugs: The actual connector can be bought brand new. (I am actually contacting and see how much they are.) It's probably better to go that way anyhow. I just wanted to tell you. The connector is Sumitomo Denso's MT6189-0056 is the type. It might be easy to buy it there, too, but I am sure it's better price here. I will let you know asap when I know.
  10. To all those wondering, These injectors will flow 470cc at 38psi which is standard r33 fuel pressure.
  11. no probs running stock fuel pressure thru them. mokompri, i think we saw the same ebayer selling these injectors. this is how i contacted him thru ebay and this is how i got a good price.
  12. Ill find out all the above questions, but it would be worthwile gettin a fuelpressure reg aswell to maximise the injectors capabilites as they are designed to run higher pressure.
  13. if u r worried about stalling it, then practice somewhere where noone is around. All u need to do is put the car is first, press clutch in, rev to 4-5krpm, drop clutch while foot still on accerator. with ur left foot that is now off the clutch put it on the brakes to stop the car moving forward to fast. depending on how hard ur left foot is on the brake will determine whether the car creaps forward or stays in one spot. Its pretty easy, so dont worry and give it a try. Goodluck
  14. I read stuff likr driftin and running from cops everyday on ns.com...
  15. hmm i changed some of my points and i see what ur talkin about. it seems almost every compressor map, it will surge except for the 62-1 trim. I have to check all the inputs i have done, but does this sound correct?
  16. thanks for the ve estimate. So do i use it throughout the rev range...? Also u pointed out to me a surge problem at point 3. How do i not get a point that will surge at point 3?
  17. Instructions for turbo calculator: Turbo Map can be used to plot a Turbocharged engine air flow against various compressor flow maps, to determine what compressor wheel best suits your engine. The points fields are used to plot the air flow at different RPM and boost conditions. It is not necessary to fill in all points fields, just one if you wish. If the map is too small a bigger map will be shown. You will need to then press the "Calc" button again to plot the points. The following is an example of using the points fields. RPM Boost VE Comp Efficiency Point 1 7000 80 80 60 Point 2 4000 80 90 72 Point 3 2000 5 100 60 Point 1 is the maximum engine RPM. Point 2 is the RPM where maximum boost is achieved. ( Wastegate starts to control boost pressure) Point 3 is the RPM where boost starts. When selecting a compressor that is the best match for your engine, select a flow map where the point the maximum boost is first achieved ( Point 2 in this case) is close to the surge line This will ensure maximum compressor efficiency through the engines maximum torque RPM.
  18. the only thing that ive been told needs modifyin is our plugs that fit into injector clips. I will find out more info. Everythin else fits 100% like standard.
  19. Here is another compressor map, this one is 62-1. It has alot of points in its major efficiency regions aswell. ahh im confused...
  20. this is the compressor map for the t04e-60 trim. it is close to surge line at 1.1bar and 4000rpm but i dont think it will surge. What are your thoughts. One thing im not sure about is how to calculate volumetric efficiency at certain RPM. Ive only guessed them as shown in my inputs.
  21. ive loaded up 25 different compressor maps into this program called turbocalc on the ray hall website. I think the t043-60 trim suits the car best as i plotted in my drivin points and they came up in the most efficient areas. I have been advised to go .63 A/R over .48 as the .63 will allow more power, and also that an external wastegate would be recommended over internal. What are ur thinkings? thanks dean
