im not sure if i need one, as a. Im not sure if my car will ever hit the track b. I only really thrash the car in the hills, but i have cool down periods basically every 20mins. Would i need one

i was driving my alfa, then bang, engine stopped, timing belt broke, valves all bent, me broke Also a guy in adelaide driving his 32 has his timing belt break due to an over tensioned idle pully i think which snapped the belt, and bent valves. If u r lucky, only the valves bend, but if unlucky, the pistons can get damages aswell which is bigger bucks. Anyway back on topic, i think it was discussed before that standard belts are the same if not exactly the same as the aftermarket ones, they just come in different packages i think,

obviously there is no rule of thumb about when somethin deciedes to give up, however u can maximise the life of ur car, engine, turbo etc, by allowing them to warm up to operating temparature, cooling down, regualar service, correct tuning etc. My 33 has been thru many 2hr plus thrashes thru the hills, with cool downs ever 20 mins or so, and i havent had too many problems with it, just small annoying things, rather then catastrophic failures...

I agree that the benefits matt gets and some others is not what ur normal customer would get, and hence i agree with steve that it could be misleading to post this in that someone might read this, not get the same service as matt, and think they are gettin ripped off, or that they are not good. I know boost worx and shaun are excellent, and i will trust him with my car now. However i dont expect miracles or cheapest tune ever, i just want a fair rate, and i want an excellent tune. Personally i wouldnt post stuff up knowing others wouldnt get the same service as me. Whilst we are talkin workshops, i must say D1 Garage are great, ive come in lots of times, only a few times to purchase, but rob is always heaps helpful, all the time. I never speak to James, hehe hes always in Japan

good question. I would like to know this aswell. Generally it would effect idle , however it would be nice to know from someone who has used them.

i changed the oil with standard castrol stuff, vmx80 i think cant remember. Didnt do anythin much.

Its true that u have formed a frienship with Shaun due to ur repeated buisiness with him and the loyalty that comes with that. Its the same with a mechanic i know down the road from me, he would do stuff like that for me all the time. It comes from knowing the person and building trust.

grepin, when i inquired about a hks actuator, greenline told me they are rated to 11-12psi not 1 bar. Hope this is some help to u.

dude u puit ur car in a modified car show. Be prepared to cope peoples opinion, if u like it or u dont, thats how it is. If u decide to only modify ur stereo, then thats your decision.
