  2. i wouldnt be mucking around with bosch pumps unless you need huge fuel flow for 700hp... get the nismo direct fot pump.... you will pay nearly the same for after market bosch by the time you fit it and it wont fit as nice.... cheers...

  4. yeh i am starting to think the same after our test they would hold 30psi without leaking... with the same boost pressure on both sides of the bovs.... cheers,
  5. been reading a few posts about gtr bovs..seems to be a few dif opions... tested mine yesterday with an air line and tee fitting with a reg to put air on both sides of the bov at the same time to see if it holds say 20psi or more... seemed fine at even much higher than 25psi...so whats the benifit of after market bovs like the greddy type r etc.... is the air flow of bigger turbos the reason they start to open at higher boost levels... cheers..
  6. work for my self. dyno used and tuner is milanco pro dyno at hemmant....myself and the boys there have tuned a few gtrs now with datalogit... one r32 gtr stock turbos and fuel system with 3 inch exh and pods made 285 rwhp when it came in and left with 360 rwhp at 14psi.....he was a very happy man i will tell you that... cheers..

  9. if you want to drive down the coast and leave you car there for a day then pick it up again...thats cool...up too you.... but if you live in brisbane and want your gtr tuned in 1/2 day while you wait & done properly not just a basic hand controller tune up.....call me.. we have spent many hours tuning my r34 gtr with this software and its great stuff... just trying to give bris people a option as there are not too many people who you can trust to tune power fcs in brisbane...as we all know.... cheers...

  11. its very good. makes tuning twice as fast and able to do a better tune also...you can save different tunes also for diff fuels and boost etc...and reload them quickly.. i have the the gtr version... cheers..
  12. in datalogit you go to monitor mode and you can view live readings like knock and all other engine functions just like the hand controller.. but better as you can logit and view knock readings after you have done a dyno run or race to see how the tune is and were it needs adjustments... cheers...hope this helps...
  13. i just got a kj radiator core 40mm thick fitted to my stock r34 gtr tanks... cost me 550.00 works great ...on the dyno got to 80 deg then idle for a few mins back to 70 deg....water temp.... the r34 gtr standar core is 16mm.. wow.. cheers...
  14. far out man you ve had bad luck.. i would make him get a new set of total seal rings and fit them properly.. there not cheap and work great.... gapped right and run in with running in oil ..... the stem seals is easy.. fit them to the head then put oil on them and the valves and slip them together slowly.... he may have damadged the old stem seals when he fitted them to the head last time... just dont baby the engine when you get it back together... vary loads and rpms.... total seal recon not to use syntheic oil for 2000klms...... cheers, good luck...
  15. i agree v spec.. when i set up my total seal rings had to file every ring except the oil rings to get the ring gaps as per instructions.. takes time .....and the ring gaps are large for a reason.... cheers...
  16. the gapless rings will be okay.. as long as your bore is honed right and run in properly.. i am using the same total seal rings and no probs at all... they need to be gaped correctly also think 22 thou for the rings to work correctly, being gapless... seems a lot of ring end gap but they make em and test them..... if the ring end gaps are too tight you wont be getting enough compression past the top ring to make the second ring seal..... just used valvaline oil drove it for 20ks the 3 hours on the dyno. shes run in quick... good luck with the engine builder.........again....
  17. your engine builder may have not cleaned up the end of your valves where the collets clamp to the valve . when i pulled my valves out of my head there where small marks very sharp edges from the collets clampnig to the valves.. if you dont clean up these marks on the valves you will stuff the new valve stem seals like what happened in your case i would say.... some of my valves had no marks on them but some did... hope this helps.... also i used cheap valvaline running in oil an ran it in on the dyno.. dont drive the thing too carefull.. or it will glaze up again... hope this helps....

  20. so in the rear diff just use redline 75w 90 not shockproof light... whats the reason emre for not using shockproof in the rear diff..??? also i used redline mt90 in my r34 gtr gearbox .. works great... i would keep using nissan matic d or castrol trans z in the transfer case to match the oil in the 4wd pump system...in a gtr of course... cheers..
