  12. Hi guys, After much thought and hassling from the other half I need to sell my R34 Coupe. Pretty much a whole car, just needs some interior bits and peices (and good clean). The people that used to store the car failed to cover it well. The rear quater glass needs to be replaced and some interior trims. Details: 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 25GT Coupe (non-turbo, P Plate friendly) Manual Rb25DE included in sale (9X,XXX km's) White Front bar has a few scratches from mistreatment at the storage place. Carbon fibre hood Kakimoto cat back exhaust Splitfire coil packs changed at 85,000KM Xenon headlights Still has all the wires running through for the sound system Timing belt and AC belt was changed at 80,000km Comes with aftermarket wing and stock wing as well Honestly don't have the time to work through getting the engine started (Fuel pump, Battery, Full Service) Currently unregistered, will require blue slip. Towing at your own expense. Located in Sydney Inner West. Price $7000 firm. Reasonable offer will be considered. Reason for price is that it will cost ~$1000 to have the car fully running again. Someone can easily make money off this, but only for someone who has the extra time on weekends. Once completed car can be sold for $10k+ Contact: Vik SMS: 0466 605 513 or Email: [email protected]
  13. Hey hows it goin' guys. Well I got it started on the weekend (ghetto job, bypassed fuel pump using a cannister full of fuel and another fuel pump). It started perfectly fine with no hassles. Engine is fine, no damage to the head (thank god!) The radiator leak is coming from the Water Pump which requires the engine to be dropped in order to access it. The Fuel Pump is in Tank and will need to be dropped as there is no access point under the seat. Now, this is going to take over 4 hours to do on the weekend, considering just sending it to a garage, how much do you reckon labor charges would be if i supply the parts? Cheers
  14. Im pretty sure the Fuel Pump has called it a day. When i engage and put "the reds" on I can't hear it at all. Im actually gonna' slightly undo the fuel rail bolt and see if anything squirts out. What's the best way to diagnose a possible warped head ?
  15. Well dad's coming over on Saturday and we will rip the head off and have a look. In the meantime, checked the sparks and leads all good. Sprayed some starter fluid in the intake and it turned over and started fine. I have a feeling there might be a problem with the fuel pump because its caused problems before. Might be just a coincidence. Certainly hope so Vik.
  16. Hey guys, So here's the run down. Tuesday when the partner took her car (Daihatsu Charade 1996) out of the driveway i noticed a small puddle of Radiator coolant, I had filled it up 2 days prior and thought it might be from the filling up process or extra that had come through the reservoir. Come wednesday night, partner drives home and tells me after dinner that the temp gauge on the Charade was on "H", I asked how far, she said the whole way. I decided to go have a look at to my suprise, there was no coolant left in the radiator. Now to be fair, there was still about <500ml left in there when i dropped the coolant via the drain plug. Because the temp sensor requires coolant to be in there in order to have a reading it wasnt completely empty. I proceeded to fill up the radiator with water temporarily (11pm at night). I then moved to the oil, now, the oil was just below the full point when i checked it on Monday. Right now it was sitting below the low point clearly indicating that the engine had overheated and that it began to burn oil. I proceeded to fill up the engine with oil till the dipstick read Full. I then attempted to give the car a start to let the oil run and take another reading, and to my dismay the car would crank but not start. I checked the fuel pump fuse, replaced the battery. With no luck. When I turn the key, I dont think i can hear the fuel pump engaging. But i will need to double check that since there is a fair few things in the boot that will not allow me to hear it, or it is just inaudible. I have a to do list tonight: Check the spark plugs and test it using a jumper lead. Test the spark plug leads. Let the spark plugs out and let the engine "air out" to eliminate the possibility of me flooding the engine. OR Take all the plugs out and give it a little crank and let the excess fuel, if any, spurt out. Spray some Starting Fluid into the throttle and give it a start to see if that works. If it does then something to do with the fuel. Is there anything else someone can please recommend? Car Specs 1996 Daihatsu Charade G203 (Auto) (EFI) Bought the car only a month ago so my partner can have a little run around (new license holder) Previous owner claimed it had been serviced 3 weeks ago, which i highly doubt now. Shouldn't have been lazy and done the service the first day i picked up the car. Any help would be appreciated guys. Cheers, Vik
  17. Hey Terry, long time! As you can tell I'm back haha. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with Peter. Contact details available? Is he on SAU? Cheers, Vik
  18. I thank you for your direct response Current diet is up n go morning Lunch, peice of grilled chicken with sweet potato Dinner rice and tuna Snack during the day banana or an apple No soft drinks, water only. No caffeine. I was told my a friend that cardio is a great way to shred fat, hence the aim for cardio, but don't know how well I will fair with being a smoker 85 was just a number I threw there because these days I've become a lot more body conscious and it's clouding my judgement. Hence the help needed. Type of cardio, don't know what types there are but begin with a good 3 km jog / 100m sprints. Then followed by weight training, 4 times a week, 1 day breaks in the middle. Supplements, because it's all I hear about these days. That's the straight and honest truth. Cheers, Vik
  19. Hey guys, Wondering if there is a way of repairing the Gel Coat that is placed on top of the carbon fibre wrapping on the bonnet. Mine has had some cracks in it for a while and the actual gel has started to fade, looks glossy when i was it, but as soon as it dries, it looks very very dull. I'll post some pics tomorrow once i get the time, but was wondering if its an easy DIY or if there is a place in Sydney that would specialise in this sort of repair. Cheers, Vik
  20. Hey guys, Need to loose some weight. Basically, 180cm, ~100kg Muscular build, but let myself go for the past year. Planning on taking Oxyelite Pro after a month of training. Aiming for a whole lot of cardio and some weight training as well. Need some help on some supplements, such as what's a good meal replacement protein shake that I could take? Also what else should i get into to help the weight loss. Excercises? Open for suggestions. Trained for 2 years when i was 17/18. Then stopped, but that training was all built around building mass. Weight aim would be 85kg for now. Some help surrounding diets would help as well, built around chicken. Can't eat Beef or Pork due to religious purposes. Cheers, Vik.
  21. Enjoy the Skyline with minimal / cheap mods for now. Wait out the P Plate stage and then just buy a GTT. The money you will invest in getting the car to go faster will not be worth it in the end when it comes time to sell. By succumbing to the "mod bug" you will also run the risk of getting consistently hassled by the blue and red for modifying as well which can also increase costs by copping fines left right and centre. I've been through this, not worth it for now. Wait it out. Vik
  22. Could you post up some pics of both please when you get time. Cheers. Vik
