You have a much better control of your temper than me mate. It certainly makes sense to go about it the legal way, but the guy is pushing his luck. If you do end up in court you might find there are expenses you can claim in your complaint above the cost of the repairs alone. Hire cars, towing fees, storage fees etc etc. Make sure you claim all that is owed to you. The legal process is long and drawn out, so you need to get every penny that you can considering the amount of time you'll spend chasing him.

Are you in Melbourne? I can give you the details of a law firm who deal with car damage and accidents. They're very good to deal with. You might want to set up a camera to catch him if he comes back.

No need to upgrade at the moment as I don't have a 33 anymore unfortunately. I was thinking of repairing it and keeping for a spare in the future or selling it. I guess I could sell it as is, but it can't be worth much with the damage.

I've managed to break the exhaust housing on a stock R33 turbo. Everything else is still in good condition, no shaft play and the fins are not chipped. Just wondering if its possible to replace the rear housing with a second hand one without much trouble? Or if anyone has a suggestion on how to repair it I'd appreciate hearing it Pic attached to show whats happened.

I'd suggest going with a local company. There are a few good ones who frequent this forum: J-Spec Iron Chef Prestige Motorsports All of them have plenty of previous experience and know all the ins and outs of importing to Aus.

I've got what I think is the canister bracket (see pic). Its a little bent but could be bent back in to shape. Its yours free if you can pick it up. I'm in Bayswater North.

You can check the compliance plate to see which company complied it. Not sure about the owner history though.
