Could be repaired as a track car I guess? Doesn't seem to say if its a write off or repairable write off. One of the workshops running R35s in racing will probably get it for parts. Lets hope the guy who hit him had insurance... unlike the person who ran in to me a few weeks back. $180,000 bill for rear ending someone would hurt.

I've had a baby seat in mine. Put the seat in the centre and used the anchor point directly behind it on the parcel shelf.

If you can't get the guy to lower the quote to below $4000, I'd be looking at somewhere else. You can buy a S2 R33 for about $10,000 in good condition at the moment. Spending $5000 to fix your car and possibly having problems in the future if its not done correctly wouldn't be good.

Is this being handled by insurance? Was the accident your fault? At that price I'd want the car written off and be paid out. If you want it fixed, get some cheaper second hand parts to bring the prices down.

Hey mate, nice car. Is it a 1996 or 1998? It would appear to have the '98 front bar and wing. Also, having ridden bikes for many years you might find that the Skyline was cheaper to run!

Its a shame about the car, but at the end of the day, it is just a car. Just hope I don't get screwed on the payout... Still baffled as to how both drivers walked away! I'm impressed with how the skyline held up considering the hit it took, but as a few people mentioned - any passenger would have been dead or seriously injured. The number of people I've seen run red lights over the years is astonishing. Take care out there.

My dad borrowed my car to go to work last week (his was at the mechanic), unfortunately another road user couldn't tell the difference between red and green. On the plus side my dad walked away with only minor injuries. I'm thinking about getting a Toyota Chaser to replace it depending on insurance costs. The 2.0ltr R33s didn't meet the power to weight ratio so wasn't eligible for import from what I recall. Might have come in under the old rules or was a personal import? Unless at some stage someones swapped a 2ltr non turbo engine in to a 33 that was a 2.5?
