Bendix Ultimate Front Pads Near New
N-DAWG replied to N-DAWG's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
anyone? make an offer? -
I don't mean to bump an old thread, but just wanted to know if this car wash is still the bees knees and if anyone knows the opening hours and contact number? I've been googling, think I've found the right number, hoping to get an inside out and polish done before the weekend.

N/a+t Power Results - N/a +t Turbo Conversions Only
N-DAWG replied to N-DAWG's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
oh sweet! Once again goes to show how strong the DE's are! I thought you were running stock pistons just with new bearings till I read this in the article: "That’s why the engine has been rebuilt from the ground up and strengthened with ACL main and big end race bearings." So what compression is it running now with that gasket? I've had a couple of tuners advise against doing the gasket method as with still running the N/A pistons the only benefit is running more boost and losing the high compression response, but I guess this proves that wrong to an extent, and if you had the engine opened for the bearings then from a cost point of view it makes sense to do the gasket as well. How is it as far as temps go? Particularly between street driving and track. I notice there's no mention of oil coolers and bigger radiator. Is it simply a case of just not really necessary even on a high powered N/A+t build? -
I love windy mountain roads! More fun that straight driving

I don't know that my car's anything to show n shine about, but I plan to come along for the cruise and support the charity

Very nice Tiff! Loving that R32! Done an awesome job with it, well done! Just so you know, we have a thread just for N/A+t power results, would love to see the results there! Good to see another N/A+t conversion that's come out good http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/N-...-N-t249186.html -
Do front and rear sway bars together IMO. Whiteline Blade Adjustable.

Thanks It's getting there, work in progress. Dan's conversion has to be one of the neatest I've seen actually, but he didn't have FMIC piping going over the radiator. FMIC piping over the radiator already looks messy IMO. Only around 160rwkw at the moment but that's on 7PSI and with an auto transmission. That particular Dyno has been known to report around 10kw under, and sometimes up to 20kw in some cases, but power figures are only numbers, what matters is the driveability and reliability of that power figure. It's easy to make more power really, all whats needed is more boost, but everything one step at a time. Trying to make more use out of power already there at the moment, which is why I've started with the heatshield, airbox, and next up a cold air feed. Once I'm satisfied with the keeping temps down side of things, then I'll look at either stage 2 shift kit and autotrans service complete with transmission fluid cooler (try to eliminate flaring, speed up the shifts and get the existing power to the wheels more efficiently and without overheating the gearbox); or an EBC. My tuner reckons that my R33 turbo is good for up to 12PSI, though I'm not sure if I'd run it that high as yet, not with a used R33 turbo. But 12PSI with an EBC should see it making some sweeet power, which admittedly I am craving for lol -

Well I'm only running 7PSI, but compared to N/A it's good to have some decent power! Holding up well, been 5 months now since the conversion. Here's a few shots I took tonight in high sensitivity mode on my cybershot.. not the clearest photos but I like slow shutter without flash -
Parked next to a Maroon R33 GTS in Parklands Carpark tonight. Also saw a good few skylines in the city.

Engine bay pics? or pics of the car? Outside looks pretty much like any skyline, except blue badges and for the R34 different factory front bar. I made a start on modifying the engine cover to fit, still needs more work trimming and smoothing, but still looks far better than ntohing at all! The DE NEO's are pretty ugly underneath it all. Had to make a custom bracket though, which is something temporary at the moment made up from leftover FMIC kit brackets and a combination of bolts and nuts which worked out quite well considering The heatshield is something I cut up from the ACL heatshield material, and has made a significant difference! Intake pipe and silicon bend is no longer scorching hot after a drive, but rather just warm. seems to be sustaining power for longer before heatsoak becomes an issue Eventually I'll do a few more things to make the engine bay look a bit nicer/neater. -
Just A Teaser Of Whats Coming Soon For Dori34
N-DAWG replied to dori34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Nice work! met the 200kw target At what revs does it start making boost? Looking forward to seeing pics n vids! In response to the box, I bought the R34 one. -
For the track, coilovers and sway bars. For the street, lowered springs and sway bars, coilovers if you're not worried about comfort. oh and some good tyres! Good tyres will help with accellaration, braking and allround handling.

That's terrible! Is it some sort of cruel joke?

Just A Teaser Of Whats Coming Soon For Dori34
N-DAWG replied to dori34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Dori, check your phone, sent a few shots at different angles of the front bar/piping, hope it helps With using the N/A intake pipe, is that going to work with the air box that you have? or will that need to be custom re-made? i found the JJR one to not fit so well on my N/A. I had to bend the side where it runs near the aircon cylinder (not sure of the technical name for it, it's next to the canister) and also had to unclip the canister and have it sit a bit lower. The part from the turbo to the AFM was fine though, just not sure how that's going to go with the N/A intake. -

Anyone can do a custom catback system for your car. Just get the Coby Extractors from Partsco or DKNE Extractors. As far as buying a catback exhaust goes, you're not going to have a lot of luck with aftermarket off-the-shelf systems, at least not without spending more than it's worth.
-
DKNE in Australia also do extractors for N/A Skylines. Coby extractors would be the way to go at the moment if you're prepared to wait as there's a group buy in the works. Custom would hardly be worth the dollars given that you can get them from DKNE or Partsco for a lot less. Cara (MISSR34) was taking interest for the purchase of her custom extractors.
