R34s are top feed. But just to be a pain they're different from other top feed skyline injectors >_> Lucky for me I've scored an RB25DET Manifold and R34 GTT injectors $250 shipped from another forum member. Given how hard it seems to have been to try and get these, I'm taking them both for that price. So now all I need is to figure out which intercooler to go with, buy a new fuel pump, get the front/dump pipes, and decide whether to get an exhaust done together at the same time. Oh and sort out the actuator, a BOV and also decide whether I REALLY need the oil cooler. I have thought about just getting an SMIC to begin with, but then for what it costs to get a FMIC fitted later and then a retune, might as well do them together. Unless of course if I do the catback zorst and high flow cat, together with a FMIC later on, then it might be worth while. So now it's a matter of waiting a few more pay cheques and getting it all together and put in and tuned Might be a month or two at the moment though. *sigh* the money we put into our cars lol If I felt confident enough I'd look at fitting it up myself, but I'd really rather leave it to the pros.

There's a few down Sydney way on carsales. I thought you might have been in luck with the first one in Figtree but turns out it's a Turbocharged model listed as a GTS. http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/NISSA...9895+4294882775 I'm assuming that you've already looked in the for sale thread here as you've got a car listed. I'll ask my Gong friends if they know of any that are going for sale. PS. If budget allows, you may want to consider an R34 GT. They seem to be more common these days and aren't too badly priced either.

666Dan was saying that the R34 Injectors are a top feed, but different to the GTR Top Feed. Makes it a pain to try and get second hand ones :S

Thanks Dori...I scored a new Turbo Braided Line Kit of a seller on NS for $100 and a Turbo Smart Single Stage Boost Controller also for $100, $10 postage for them both, so I'm pretty happy with that Did you mean a Permacool oil relocation kit and then with the just jap core? I'm still not having much luck with finding injectors for an R34 =S I reallly don't want to buy these new, they're $$$ lol I'm still a bit undecided between FMIC and SMIC as well. I really like the sleeper look and I've been seeing a few good priced R34 SMIC's going recently, but keeping that air cool is more important I guess. What lower priced intercooler kits are recommended? I really don't want to blow out the budget too much lol Oh another thing too, the turbo compressor which I've got on the way doesn't have the wastegate actuator. What's going to be involved in getting this to work properly? From what I understand, I'll need to purchase an Actuator for 7PSI, or block off that part of the turbo and run an external waste gate which I understand would mean a high mount manifold. I really would like to keep it low mount factory looking, and also to keep costs low as I imagine a high mount would involve custom piping? Oh and has anyone had experience with Monsta Performance intercoolers and manifolds? The price seems reasonably cheap, just wondering if this is another stay clear iem or if its actually worth while looking at. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-SKYLINE-R32-...1713.m153.l1262 Too good to be true? Or will it be good enough for doing a conversion?

BUMP I've got the Turbocharger on the way, Intercooler and front/dump I'm going aftermarket...unless someone has a used FMIC. Still looking for Injectors and Manifold.

Anything in here still for sale?

The seller was happy to send me those additional items. From what he said it sounds like he's relying more on his mechanic's knowledge. Well I've bit the bullet, bought this turbo for $200 + $30 postage. I'll get it checked out by the workshop when it arrives and hopefully it should all be sweet! I don't expect it to last indefinite, but even if I get a couple to a few years out of it I'll be happy at that price. Besides, when it comes time to recondition the engine, that's when I'll be able to go all out with it She's only got 111,000 on the clock at the moment. Thanks for the input guys!

Yeah it is a bit hard. I might see how I go with this one. If I get it at the starting price it's not a lot. It doesn't come with the lines etc.. but I just scored a turbo braided line kit on NS for $100 so all good

Hi Guys I've been looking around for a used Factory Turbo to do a Low Boost N/A turbo Conversion. The problem with buying a used turbo online is that obviously I don't get to see it in person till i receive the item. What can I look for in photos that can indicate that I should steer away from a particular turbo? Attached are photos of one that I'm looking at possibly buying. According to the seller it was removed from an R33 GTS-t Series 2 at 90,000kms running stock boost throughout, with minimal or no shaft play, and that all the seals are not leaking and in excellent condition. Turbo was removed to allow for an upgraded turbo. I guess that the upgrade can be justified as the seller also has factory injectors, pump and other items listed. I requested additional detailed photos which are attached. Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks Nathan

I'll take your word for it on the dump/front combo. I'm in between that one or the Flying Performance front / dump 2 in 1. For what it's worth I figure might as well go for a new dump/front pipe. Which oil cooler are you looking at getting? I notice there's one in a group buy at the moment. I'm really not too sure of which size to get etc.. I would rather be on the safe side though with keeping the oil in the engine nice and cool. Where did you see the braided lines for $80? I've been looking on www.digi-hardware.com

Like a couple of others on the forum, I've decided to do a low boost turbo conversion on my NA R34 25GT. I'm looking at going the economical path using stock second hand turbo model parts, with the possible exception on a couple of items like the intercooler which I "may" go for a FMIC set up. So I am looking for: RB25DET R34 Injectors (I've been told that R34 GTT are the only ones suitable as they are top feed) RB25DET Manifold RB25DET Turbocharger, obviously in good condition with minimal to no shaft play, and preferably with water and oil lines. Prefer one of an R34 obviously. I believe the R33 Series 2 has the nylon wheel which is apparently better so I will consider the R33 turbo as well. RB25DET R34 Dump Pipe R34 SMIC, with piping would be good. Suitable fuel pump. I'll see what people have to offer with the last three items before I decide between factory and aftermarket. I think that covers most of what I'm looking to buy second hand, send me a PM or post away here. Cheers! Nathan

How critical is it that a second hand turbo compressor comes with the factory oil and water lines? In the first post Dan mentioned that the lines were extended with braided hose. Does this mean that the factory ones won't be long enough to start with? One of the second hand compressors I'm looking at doesn't have the lines, and a brief search shows that these can go between $50 and $450 dollars. Advice is much appreciated Edit: Also what benefit would I see in a Oil Cooler Kit? I would imagine that keeping the oil cooler is going to be a good thing with running high compression...but that's just my thinking though. Would a oil cooler / relocation kit solve the issue with the required oil lines? or not necessarily?

I like and don't like the Uras kit. I agree it looks better on the 4 door than the 2 door though. Reminds me of a hovercraft lol

Man that game is fun and addictive!!

Sure is All I need to add to it now is ignition harnesses etc.. though it says it comes with harnesses. I'll see what it comes with first though. So the front / dump pipe is more of a size thing than a will it fit the turbo the car came with I take it, and a front/dump for an R34 should connect up to an R33 turbo compressor? Also what are people's opinion on the Flyn 2 in 1 front / dump pipe? I like it for the price and convenience of the two in on. I'm open to suggestions.
-
Yeah I'm going to collect parts for and wait till I can be without the car for the conversion. free mandrel zorst! Wish I had those connections I was thinking the same with the FMIC with not wanting to lose the sleeper look...Robin suggested a very light spray of black paint and that will help it blend in a bit. Whilst sleeper look is good, it's also good not to overheat anything I guess. Besides most Skylines are almost assumed to be turbo by non-enthusiasts. Edit: Just won the e-Manage Blue at $300!
-
That WAS quick! Well done! What boost controller are you looking at? I'm keen to see the pics after it's done Are you doing exhaust together or later on? I might put up my WTB thread soon. I"m hopefully about to get a winning bid on a brand new e-Manage Blue I'm going to go with the FMIC, just to keep things on the safe side. Is it worth going for the aftermarket front and dump pipes? Or keep it stock? I was looking at the Flyn 2 in 1 front/dump pipe. Is this going to be suitable for this? Would there be any issues with an R33 Turbo and an R34 front/dump pipe, or should I be able to bolt up the aftermarket pipe to an R33 turbo? I'm hoping to be abel to get an R34 Turbo, but depends on what I can get though.

Sometimes the practicallity of a 4 door for a daily driver is good Also it's good to be different

I've been down to PerFOURmance this arvo, spoke to Robin, was very helpful with explaining everything. All I need to do now is get the parts together! If anyone has second hand parts let me know
