There's one in the Gong if you're local there or in Syd. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/rb25det-genuine-ecu...1QQcmdZViewItem

I see, I'll keep an eye out for R34 Injectors then. So what would be the ideal mileage for a second hand turbo for this application? Or would it be best to go for a new one to be on the safe side? This one I'm looking at currently has 0 bids and starting at $200. I'd be relying on the good will of the seller as I won't actually be having all the parts etc.. on for some time. With the ECU, is the Greddy eManage still the most suitable for an R34 Auto Turbo Conversion? What would be the benefit in going for an eManage Ultimate over the standard eManage Blue?

Where'd you get the CF Lip from? How much are they?

Well I've been on the look out for parts, mainly to have an idea of how much to spend, but now I'm thinking of buying and putting aside some of the good deals that I see. I've found for sale a second hand RB25 Turbo from a series 2 R33, description says it came off with 90thousand kms, excellent condition with minimal shaft play. Also says seals are not leaking and in excellent condition. It also mentioned that one bolt is needed for the compressor housing as it has an R34 GTT Actuator and the original actuator bracket was used as one of the compressor cover bolts. Excuse my newbness, but is this going to be suitable for an N/A Conversion? The item is in Brisbane and it's starting at $200, so if it's worth going for it might be the start of collecting parts I need. Also in regards to pump and injectors, is it advisable to go for second hand bits or to replace these with new items? Given the age that the second hand bits would now be compared to 4 years ago when Dan done his conversion. Can you go too big with injectors? I've seen some R33 GTR ones going in the for sale but I'm not sure if they'll be suitable, and if they'd be too big or not. Thanks guys!

Nothing too special, just lowered suspension and new 18s Please excuse the low quality photo.

N/a R34 Brakes And Rotors
N-DAWG replied to suprahb's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Will R32 GTR Brakes fit an R34 N/A ? Or is it only really the R33 that converts easily? -
I'm still hooked on Team Fortress 2!
-
Yeah, I'll see what's available when I'm ready to do the conversion I'm thinking I might plan towards doing it mid next year. I just ordered a set of 18s and whiteline camber/castor kit at the moment so time to start saving again. Is PerFOURmance motorsport still "the" place to go to for the Turbo Conversions?

Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery, hold your foot on the brake for around 10-15 seconds, reconnect it, and voila.

The R34 GT-T front bar has the side vent like in this photo: http://img498.imageshack.us/img498/4223/37tx.jpg The GT doesn't. http://www.q8world.net/group/pic/other6/gt/10.jpg I'm not sure how much impact this has on air getting to the SMIC.
-
I believe that MissR34 is running a GT-T PowerFC on her N/A. With that said I would imagine that it would be fine for an NA+T. The more I read this thread, and the more I read threads on improving power with a N/A, the more I'm convinced to do the bolt on conversion! I actually like the idea of a responsive GT + T. I have a few questions though: Is the Intake Plenum on the N/A model still okay to use with a turbo? Will a SMIC be adequate? Or just go straight for a FMIC? Considering the GT model doesn't have the vent on the side of the front bar. I'd like to maintain a sleeper look should I go down this turbo path, so not having a Front Mount that screams out I've got a turbo would be nice. Finally, what's involved in getting an engineer certificate so that it is road worthy? What cost is involved in that process?

cool thanks

Hi, hope I don't cause bad bumpage of this thread, though I felt it was better to have it in the same spot than start a new one. This morning my indicators started doing the same thing, just on the left side. I haven't had the chance to check it out thoroughly yet as I just got to work, but it's only the front left on the front bar that isn't working. If I put hazard lights on, they all blink at the usual rate, but still not the front bar left indicator. Is this a normal thing to happen when an indicator globe goes? Or could I expect it to be something else? It's only happened this morning..was kinda scary in traffic when you can only see the reflection of one indicator and not knowing if people know your intentions with turning =S

If budget allows, do the lot at once. I got lowered king springs (30mm drop from "factory"), and adjustable whitline sway bars front and rear. If you lower the car it will affect your camber as well. In my case, lowering the car didn't make a huge visual difference as such, but it's definitely lower; My suspension had already sagged a bit over the years though. I've now ordered adjustable castors and camber kit to correct the camber, which means more labour, adjustments and wheel allignment. I'm no expert on suspension, but I have to agree that if I was to go back and do it again, I would have just bought the complete kit and do it properly all together.

Hi everyone I'm in pretty bad need of a new set of discs and pads for my R34 25GT Sedan (N/A) From what I've been able to find, the Turbo has bigger brakes, so I would assume the pads are also different size? Can I fit GTT brake pads? Or would I need to replace rotors as well and calipers? If so besides the rotor and pad what else would i need? I imagine the calipers would need changing as well. I don't have performance modifications at the moment, but would be looking to possibly do a turbo conversion late next year, so I guess the next question is, should I replace with standards now, or replace go straight to the Turbo spec Brakes. Cost is a bit of an issue at the moment as I've also got camber and castor kits on the way to be fitted, and new tyres fairly soon...but I'm prepared to spend a little more to get better results when it comes to safety and handling. Thanks guys! Cheers Nathan

I'm looking to replace my tyres fairly soon. I'm interested pending price for tyres and delivery on SS-595s to replace my current tyres which are 225/50 R16. I'm in Brisbane, QLD.

What Damo said! ^^ I've got mine, been meaning to post here. I installed them on the weekend, and I'm very happy with the results! I'll try get some photos up soon. I've only got a 6110 Navigator to take photos with, and the light shows up fairly blue in the photo whereas they're only a slight tinge blue in actual. I'll see if I can get hold of a proper camera soon

I've seen this on eBay...though I haven't been able to find much on Rapid Auto Parts in a google search. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-SKYLINE-R33-...1742.m153.l1262 They "appear" to be a quality built cat back, I have no idea about what the mufflers on them are like though. If anyone here has had experience with them I'd be keen to hear it.
-
thanks WKD! Yeah will do! If not this arvo, maybe on the weekend I might get around to fitting them. Works been busy as with a system migration in progress so overtime might eat into installing HID time I don't want to do a rush job of it
-
You might be in luck! Mine turned up this morning I'm hoping to get them in after work today
-
No worries, I'll wait on confirmation for interior lights, otherwise I might just mount a Neon light in the boot running of the 12v boot light power and ditch the bulb. Cheers
-
some lucky ppl then =P Do they have bulbs for the boot light and interior globes? I'm pretty sure the globe in the boot is the standard parker type globes. If they can do those and the interior globes as LEDs I'd be interested Also did the HIDs get sent out with Aust Post or courier? Just wondering...I keep ducking out to the store room at work to see if they've arrived lol

That force flow looks interesting.... I'm curious to know more about it, though the fact I haven't heard much about it could say something too. I might do some research on it.

Lucky indeed Trevor! I was quite impressed with the pricing they gave me, till they corrected their quote =/ The pricing gets very close to the thousand mark after you factor in install...
