  1. ok..so on the top of my headlamps under the hood it has engraved H1 12V 56W So I'm assuming I just need the H1 Kit and that there's no Hi/Lo option? Do I need to get anything for the high beam? Also how much is it now for this kit and parkers?
  2. yeah i best check...I'm just going to take my lunch break now and I'll check and post back =]
  3. If it's not too late I'm keen for a set of these HID's in 6000k! I've been umming and arring about it for a while but I'm starting to get sick of how dim my lights seem to be! I've got a R34 25GT 4DR Sedan...from what I understand I need the H4 and a set of parkers? Are there any other globes I need? High Beam globes? Or would I be fine with just the H4 Hi/Lo?
  4. Nicely done! Clean, functional and love the colour scheme..good work!
  5. Your installs coming along nicely cheez! I was thinking of doing something similar in my R34. At the moment I've just got a off-the-shelf box with a 15". Serves its purpose for now, but I want to go to a pair of 12s just for the tighter response of the 12" driver. Just a thought at the moment (I'm yet to measure up and determine feasiblity): I was thinking of using a MDF wall in the same section as what you have, maybe a little further back...but then mount a prefab fibreglass enclosure to it. Something similar to the 12" Dual Fibreglass Enclosure from this ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com.au/Karatan-Enclosures That way it creates a nice clean look that using a wall set up gives, and also gives a custom install look with the fibreglass. Any thoughts on that? Just something I thought of when I saw those prefab enclosures on ebay. It's not completely DIY, but it saves a lot of mucking around with fibreglass, specially when I haven't had ANY experience with fibreglassing yet. As for the floor I was looking at going a multiple piece floor to be able to access the compartments and spare tyre. As for the amplifier I was thinking of mounting it in a fixed section of the floor under some plexi.
  6. Aren't we all!! I'll probably get the whole exhaust system done in one go, once that lovely tax return comes through hehe I'm still keen to see the results of these DKNE extractors though. Getting more top end power is good, but for daily driving, I'd prefer having more useable power and better response.

  8. eBay for the Nissan Logo Badge: http://search.ebay.com.au/search/search.dl...le=nissan+badge When you find out about the GT Badge I'd be interested to know where you got one from. My rear bar had to be resprayed and they couldn't save the 25GT Badge. I think the Skyline Letter and other metal badges can usually be reattached. The place that done the work on my rear bar told me that they can reattach badges like the GT ones on the side of the car, but rear badges depends on if they could get them or not. I wouldn't mind knowing where I can get the big SKYLINE letters that are on the R34. My R34 Sedan only had the Nissan Logo front and back, and of course the 25GT Badge which is now gone.
  9. I also found this on eBay from DKNE: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-SKYLINE-R34-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  10. You're right there. I had the belt changed after all, got the gates belt (black) kit from Croydon. Turns out the belt had never been changed, so I have a lot more peace of mind now that it's been changed! I've been informed that the water pump is looking good for at least another 50,000kms worst case scenario, 80,000kms best case. So I'll wait till the it gets to that sort of mileage before I change the water pump, and besides, if it lasts the 80,000kms I can get another belt again at the same time.
  11. Yeah I couldn't find a location, or ABN or company details on their site...though I did find them on the ABR and also an eBay store. All positive feedback on their ebay store. At least with the Coby's they're tried and tested and people have had good results.
  12. I got that email too. At first I thought it was a scam email. I'm not too sure what to think at this stage.
  13. Out of all the things that really annoy me on the roads, that has to be top of the list!
  14. Not really much of a design as such, but still something I used the logo from the SAUQLD forum.
  15. And with that said I can now say yes I'm definitely in! Eug, how was your international transfer fee calculated? Is there a rate they go by? Splitting the charge over the people in the group buy is fair in my opinion..I wouldn't like to see someone else going through all the hassle and headache of organising this just to be slugged with more money out of their own pocket. My question at the moment is how much does it cost for the HP Coating? From what I've read so far, HP Coating definitely seems to be the better way to go? Cheers Nathan
  16. That clears things up a lot for me, thanks guys! Looks like I'll save my money / put it towards other parts, and leave the gears for now then. If I do end up doing cams it probably won't be for a couple of years. I was just thinking if it's worthwhile whilst they have the cams off to do seals. So what are other people's thoughts on the Gates belt? The main reason I was looking at the Gate's belt as well is because they come in a kit with the seals etc.. required for a belt change. I'm also looking at the Dayco timing belt kit as well from a pricing point: http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/pr.../products_id/50 How does the Dayco kit at $275 stack up against the Gate's timing belt kit for $349 ? Edit: I'm also assuming that whilst the belt I'm looking at is listed for RB25DET Neo it is still suitable for a RB25DE?
  17. Hey Hesh Didn't realise this thread had started in the N/A section. I would like to see an established member of the forum taking charge of the Australian side to ensure that everything goes smoothly before I start handing over cash. Is there additional cost of the HP Coating I'm looking at going 2.5" with my exhaust set up so I'll go with 2.5" Coby's.
  18. I bought my R34 N/A Sedan in January 08 from a private seller obviously looking to make a bit of money importing cars as it was only complied in December. I bought it with around 105,000kms and haven't had a major service done as yet, only a RACQ check to make sure everything was fine prior to purchasing. Now the seller I bought the car from told me the timing belt had been changed. Also tells me that they change them at 75,000kms in Japan. Whether that's true or not I'm not sure, it's the only time I've heard such a thing. Being better safe than sorry, my cars booked in for a service including the timing belt change. I'm also looking at getting a custom 2.5" (or 2.25") catback exhaust and maybe a high flow cat fitted before hand. Ultimately I will be fitting extractors as well but this will be later down the track when budget permits. With this in mind, would I be best to have aftermarket cam gears fitted whilst the mechanic will be changing the timing belt? I've read somewhere (I think on these forums) that there's not much point in replacing the intake cam as you lose VCT. Can someone confirm this? The car is a daily driver so I'm more interested in a car that's going to have useable power than just outright power figures. So I guess the big question now is: Should I change the cam gear(s), if so is there a specific brand/model of cam gear I should be looking at? Are JJR cam gears anything to go by or is it much better to stick with the likes of HKS or Tomei? Stick with the Nissan Genuine Timing Belt or go for a gates timing belt kit? The kit obviously comes with the seals etc… though I've read on the forums of some noise issues with the gates belts. I would rather focus my money on simply doing the service and saving my money to put towards sway bars and exhaust upgrade, but if fitting an aftermarket timing belt and cam gear (s) is much more beneficial now cost-wise, I guess it's better to do it at the same time? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and advice. Cheers Nathan
  19. Do you have a photo of one of those R34 set ups at all? I'm fairly interested in going a custom enclosure in the future and $350 isn't too bad considering the cost of going completely custom. Is there much difference between the boot of a 4Door Sedan and 2 Door Coupe?
  20. The tweets for my NV Splits are surface mounted on the triangle pieces near the mirror. They were a bit big to be fitted in the factory locations and the triangle sections would be cheaper to replace than a door card if I never need to revert back to stock. I ended up getting my splits fitted by an installer, I didn't have the time patience to do them and just might as well cause they were apparently a bit of a muck around to fit. I've got a 15" woofer in an angled box enclosure, though I'd like to do a custom enclosure at some stage with a pair of 12s. Try get the subs mounted further to the back of the car. So far experimenting with moving the box around... right at the back facing the boot opening below the lid nets the best dB, though I recently turned it around to fire into the cabin but as far back to the boot opening as possible and there's not a HUGe amount of loss in dB but it sounds a lot cleaner though and a lot less panel resonance. I'd be talking to an installer that has had experience with custom installs in an R34, in particular the Sedan.
  21. Brand? Specs? Possibility of buying separately? If so how much?

250NZD? I'm interested as to how they're working out their currency conversion, which rate table? Using google, 250NZD to AUD is $206 AUD. When filtering Partsco's site to Australia, the price is $209.87, which of course is based on their current price of $275NZD.
  23. Spotted two Skyline's this evening near Garden City. Was behind then beside a white R34 (Nico47?) leaving Garden City past the cops standing by the tow trucks. Looked like a maroon coloured R32 had a close encounter with another car...didn't really take much notice of the other car, I was feeling rather sorry for the owner of the R32
  24. And another I recently found: http://www.importscene.com.au/category27_1.htm
