  1. Spotted SKY034 at G City Food Court car park this morning. Nice clean ride
  2. /Thread Hijack I've got a set of front Bendix Ultimates to suit R33 4 Pots preferably wanting to get rid of them this week before Thursday! $50 pickup or throw in a bit for postage. Barely used, bit coarse for my liking so I changed pads. PM if you want them. /End Thread Hijackk
  3. As title says, I've got an R34 25GT Factory Exhaust Manifold with factory heat shield that I want to get rid off before moving interstate this week. I can take pics if necessary but pretty much self explanatory. Pick up from Coopers Plains (QLD), unless your desparate enough to pay for freight. Make an offer I don't expect too much for it after all Also have an R34 25GT Fuel Pump up for grabs. Been off the car since Jan 08, so selling as is. Once again make an offer, surely someone needs spares?
  4. Mentioned it to my work mate, he's a Vice Pres of QLD Monaro Club, he already knew about it but keeping an ear out though. Unfortunate... there's a lot of money and work and most of all passion gone into that monaro! Hope you track it down mate!
  5. Spotted a white R33 at Freedom Car Wash Mt Gravatt Yesterday. Was looking over to see if I could see any SAU stickers.. I think you had a small one on the rear quarter window? Spotted 94BNR near New Farm today! Drove right passed you in the opposite direction gave a wave, didn't see me *feels ignored* lol
  6. Older thread, but hey! All the points above are pretty much spot on! I've been on the hunt for the last month looking for rentals down there prior to moving back in a couple of weeks. I'm looking at spending $310 a week on a 2bed/2bathroom in fairy meadow, but in the end it's either pay more for being reasonably central and having a newer place that's a lot more secured than a lot of the places close to the CBD. I considered Shellharbour and in particular its surrounding suburbs like Albion Park, but the savings on rent balance out in the form of additional travel costs. Shellharbour is a really nice place to live and it is indeed pretty much its own city. Wollongong has a lot of diversity in the type of people that live there both for better and worse.. or stereotypically speaking, it has its share of bogans and junkies and people who generally ruin it for others. Fortunately to an extent a lot of it is based on areas so its somewhat easy to avoid and ignore. One trend I have noticed though is that if you are looking to buy a place, Wollongong's housing market has dropped somewhat. The rent on the other hand isn't cheap if you want something decent. If you want parking, prepare to pay more again. Plenty of <$300 places if you don't need a place to park. Secure parking (ie. something that isn't as simple as walking up to your car from the footpath) will put the costs up a bit more again. To give a comparison though of rent vs buy, the apartment I'm looking at renting for $310 a week is in a complex of many which sell between $229k for a 1bedroom, and from $260 odd to $290k for the 2 bedroom. So it's not too bad if you're in the market to buy a place. Even places in Cordeaux Heights can be had for quite reasonable money than what it was a number of years ago. I am comparing of course to the market up here in Brisbane where $300 a week in the suburb of Mt Gravatt which is nice and close to everything like Wollongong and not too far from the city, will fetch you more-or-less a dump! No exaggeration. If you want to compare costs of living by State, I'm currently sharing with my partner in Alexandra Hills, it's $295 a week, it's comparable to what you would spend $250 a week in Wollongong, both in the place and the neighbourhood of this street; I travel 40 minutes to work and back every day, the CBD is around 35-40mins on a good day with little traffic, and if you want to catch public transport, you can easily spend $50 per working week on bus fares with the way it's gone up in recent times! At least in Wollongong, even if you spend around $300 pw on rent, you have free shuttle bus service if you're within that vicinity of the CBD. Where Wollongong is bad though is cost of insuring a Skyline (completely relevant in this thread). I'm preparing to spend an additional $40 per month with JustCar on top of my currently $110 p/month on pay-by-the-month terms with a rating 2. Excess will go up too. I'm 24. Another great thing about Wollongong, almost everything you need to get to is generally a short drive. CBD, Tafe, Uni, Shopping Centres, Beaches, Restaurants, Cafes.. they're all nice and close if you're living closer to the CBD. Say Wollongong, Gwynville, Figtree, Fairy Meadow, Corrimal to give an idea. My partner doesn't drive, my work is in Port Kembla, so it's great to have free transport for her locally which is straight away going to save $50 a week in our budget. What sucks if you drive, parking meters! And from what I hear, the parking inspectors in Wollongong aren't very lenient by any stretch of the imagination! But if you live close enough to a shuttle bus stop and don't absolutely need the car, it's not a huge deal to catch transport to and from the CBD, or save the trip till the weekend and get the free parking at Crown St Mall. If you're planning on going to Wollongong Uni then the free bus is going to save a lot in both travel and uni parking also! In summary though, Wollongong is a place that people either love or hate, or both. Like any place really. Anywho, that's my two cents worth, bit all over the place, but you get the idea
  7. Good to know Stuart! I'll probably drop in over the coming weeks, I'll be moving down to the Gong again in a couple of weeks, I'll be needing to transfer my rego from QLD to NSW so I'll be going through the process of blue slips. I'll send you through a PM now
  8. Anyone? Price is negotiable, need them gone by Wednesday Next Week

  10. Owgasm, you usually around there Thursday nights? I'm keen for Domo Toys! I've got a Domo that sits on the rear shelf, and a little keyring size one that you usually have for phones, just dangling of the climate control temp knob lol
  11. Yeah I was parked outside of 1st Choice before leaving Capalaba Shops last night, would have been me
  12. with SAUQLD Stickers on rear quarter windows and mesh wheels?
  13. Hi guys, clearing out old stuff prior to moving interstate, will probably have more things listed later... For now, 6 Outdoor Chairs, Excellent Condition, VERY strong and durable! Looking for $120 ONO for all 6 ($20 a chair) Pickup from Alex Hills Area. Would love to take these with us, but they simply won't fit anywhere in the new place. Cheers Nathan
  14. Wollongong Automotive Services still the way to go? I'll be moving back down there next month and have never owned the Skyline in Gong so any info on places for servicing, supply of parts etc.. would be awesome
  15. As the title says, I have a Kicker ZX400.1 MonoBloc Amplifier for sale. I bought this around Christmas last year, and never got around to installing it, and when laziness kicked in and I got a quote to have it installed, it turns out I needed to upgrade my wiring etc... Originally purchased along with a Kicker CVR 12" which is still running of my 2channel 380wrms amp. So, it's been close to a year and the amp is still sitting around, I need money to move interstate, it's up for grabs $300 ONO. I can probably dig up the receipt somewhere, I'm sure its in one of many packed folders at home. Amp obviously in mint brand new condition complete with power certification from Kicker, never taken out of the plastic it comes wrapped in before going in the box. The box is a bit damaged from being in storage but that's all. Purchased from JB HiFi Down at the Gold Coast. Pick up preferred from Coopers Plains Area, or Alex Hills, or couriered at buyers cost. Specs can be had here: http://www.kicker.com/zx_amplifiers It's capable of driving 400watts @ a 2ohm load. Those who know kicker products know that this isn't just an ordinary over-marketed high wattage amplifier like a lot of 1000 megawatt cheap chromed out amps on the market. This has all the frequency crossovers and filters that you would expect in a subwoofer amplifier. Also has a remote bass controller. Feel free to make offers via PM Cheers Nathan
  16. I'll keep an eye out Yeah going down for good, it's my home-town afterall. That sounds like him.. though I can't exactly recall the colour, but the description of the driver sounds about right lol
  17. Yeah, moved down to Alex Hills from Mt Gravatt about a couple of months ago. Only around here for a month though as moving down NSW again. You around the area much? First time I spotted you around Capalaba Oh and while I'm posting, spotted an R35 GTR last Friday on the way home from work. Tried to drive up next to you to commend you on such a great purchase.. but you kept backing off?
  18. Spotted EZY 34 at Capalaba Central Car Park a few car spaces from me... that's one tuff ride!!
  19. I've been offered a job transfer back to Wollongong NSW and need to be able to move sooner than later. Currently have a lease till 26th September at this place: http://agents.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/cs...ot=10&t=ren Ideally I need to move within 2-3 Weeks of Notice. If anyone is interested in taking over the lease please contact by PM. Close but far enough from Finucane Road, situated between Cleveland and Capalaba, short drive to the water, lots of great places to eat, affordable cinemas nearby, everything is close. Would suit singles or young couples ideally.
  20. Front Bar still for sale? Willing to separate at all? My rear bars in top cond. too many scratches and stone chips on the front and would be interested in replacing with a OEM one. Any marks or scratches on the one for sale? Also I'd look at arranging a courier to pick up if I was to purchase so I'd need it to be suitably packed.. of course if the price is right. Reply by PM please
  21. Spotted SXI32 on mt Gravatt capalaba road yesterday arvo... Was trying to make a gap in front of me so you could escape being behind the truck in shit weather n traffic =/
  22. A bit of a related question, probably a n00b question actually, but I didn't see the need to start a whole new thread... is it ok to switch between fuel vendors on a car that has been remap tuned (eManage Blue) for a fuel type? Provided of course that the octane content is the equivalent.. My R34 has been tuned for BP Ultimate, but with my fuel economy over the last month or so being up shit creek with a turd for a paddle, I'd like to use something more cost effective like Shell V-Power with a good ol' fuel docket discount until I replace the oxygen sensor and finish troubleshooting my 16-21L/100km fuel economy
