  4. you guys are forgetting...automatic....the labor is a bit more...and if i want a new radiator i cant get the sexy one from just jap because its for a manual and hasn't got the cooling system at the bottom for the A/T....i went with the 250 because i needed the car asap, i cbf shopping around for a part that's expensive and hard to find (for me anyway) that i don't need. 250 was also the best quote i could find out of a handful of my mechanics that i go to in my area so I'm happy

  7. Nope, i don't spend much time in reverse so it doesn't bother me that much. But if you do want to remove it i cant imagine it would be very hard....just find the beeper and cut the wire...

Yea i looked on there site and they didnt seem to have any R34 Radiators so i will have to ring up Nissan and get the specs and then see if they have any like that yea it would make sence as that would be the only diffrence, the reason i know the radiator is blocked or limiting the flow to a certain section of the radiator is because both pipes going in and out of the radiator are boiling hot and the air being blown off my radiator is alot cooler then my overheating engine and pipes leading from the engine - also i know its not my thermostat because my heater works and i am currently using my heater as a secondary radiator to keep my engine cool, and it works a treat! i just have to run around with my heater on full blast in summer yea sent them an email today, hopefully they have one, i like the one they have in the link i posted - ill take a look for the hoses tomorrow. the mechanic says its a bitch taking out a auto radiator, so im presuming its a little more then 2 extra hoses, either that or hes a baby thanx guys
  15. hay guys and gals my radiator is blocked and sooooo i want to get this bad boy http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=271&page=2 for my R34 GT (yes non turbo RB25DE) but the big problem is my car is the tiptronic model, so essentially auto...i know i know its terrible but i have learnt to live with it until i get my beloved GTT in manual the problem is, as most of you can figure, the radiator mentioned above is for the 5 speed. so my quesitons to you guys is 1) what is the difference between a auto radiator and a manual radiator? 2) where can i find a auto radiator? im in desperate need of a new radiator so any help would be fantastic!! thanx guys!

  19. http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index.php?sh...=31916&st=0 << WoW that guy has serious issues - he has more dollars then sense im afraid, true waste - as for the v35 front, my PERSONAL opinion and i don't press this on anyone else but....i recon the v35 gtr front looks absolutely hideous and i wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it parked anywhere in fear of some keying the F**k out of it! its like me putting a gtr badge on my r34...its not a gtr....so dont do it.. buy an R35 or just dream like the rest of us - its the sad truth!

Alrighty, Im going to cover all my bases here - im going to buy a new thermostat from just jap - http://www.justjap.com/store/product.php?p...at=0&page=1 - then im going to buy a flush and flush my system out.....obviously new coolant...and if funds allow it i wouldnt mind getting that flow test done.... could it be posssible that my water pump or wtvr isnt circulating the water around quick enough? ergo its worn out and just not pumping at the right rate, this theory isntead of there being a blockage thats stopping the flow offcause.... also i have been driving all day and been watching my temp gauge like a hork...no change! and im going to the snow tomorrow and im swaping cars with my mum - she has a 4wd so i needs it - and i wont be able to do it for a week and since driving around hasnt effected the temp hopefully it should be alright... ill get her to keep an eye on it tho... arggg cars cars cars

Thanx heaps guys - i will do all of that - new stat - flush radiator and get a flow test. im also likeing the word cheap because i have had a few things i have had to fix up and im a little low on cash, so how much are we talking? and dw i wont hold you to it - it would just be nice to have a number in my head so i dont get a shock
  23. i like your thinking but my symptoms don't match any of these, and the steam out of the exhaust i wouldn't know about.....its only gone up that once and it didn't go up again even when i was going fairly hard at it (not quite as hard as before when the temp did go up) and the temp stays the same when its idle or low speed (when air isn't flowing through the radiator) any other ideas GTRPSI? could it just have been a freak thing like an air pocket or simply i was just driving it to hard for to long and the stock cooling just wasn't enough?
  24. yea Ive been told to do a flush - new OEM thermostat....is that going to be expensive? yea over flow is at the right level check that as soon as i pulled over
  25. hay guys and gals Well last night I was on the Thursday night cruise going down old pac, some of you might have remembered me winging about this when we stopped, and I looked down at my Temp Gauge and it was just under the 2 dashes at the top of the gauge that mean "hay, I’m f***ing HOT!", I was sitting on some high revs on the inclines, but I have done old pac a million times and I don’t think I have ever seen the gauge go up so high. My theories are a) it always goes that high but I'm always concentrating on the road that I have never noticed (and therefore my question is, should my temp gauge fluctuate that much at high revs?...or is this really a problem?) b) my thermo stat isn’t opening up at high temps or only opening up slightly (but in saying that, once I slow down and let it cruise at low revs, 2 grand, it cools down fairly quickly (travelling at about 80kms) which means that the radiator is doing its job....right?) c) I need new coolant? (but my mec said that shouldn’t really make a diff) I’m soo confused :S d)air pocket? (but what’s the likely hood of that? and if so, why would it happen?) Now, after taking it easy and letting the engine cool down to normal, I continued down old pac, not as hard as I had been, but still fairly hard to see if I could get the temp up again but I had no problems...... I don’t know what to doo!! help
